As a foundation for my decorations, I ordered these. For the price, they are fairly nicely constructed. Although the limbs and legs don't have any joints, this is to be anticipated given the pricing point. It looks fantastic. To use it to cover an upper and lower window, I intended to split it in half. Before cutting it, I put this to my window to check how it seemed from the outside. I was shocked to see that they didn't resemble what I had bought when I opened the box. To make sure they were in the right sequence, I had to review the order. Since they did not arrive with instructions, I had to figure out how to unwrap them in order to put them up. I was able to set them up once I figured it out. These are so lovely! I purchased two strands along with the little hooks needed to hang them from a cable. I appreciated other reviews that described hanging the main string before releasing the knots on each of the smaller strands.The control box's elevated position is the only thing I don't like. The lights begin operating in all of their settings when you connect them in, including flashing, fading in and out, etc. To select the steady on mode, you must press the button on the box from the top of a ladder. This wouldn't be a problem if the box was placed nearer the plug.
