Best Bath Washcloths in 2022

Last update: December 11, 2022

Are washcloths just towels?

While washcloths and towels are both made of absorbent materials, there are some key differences between the two. Washcloths are usually smaller and more compact than towels, making them easier to use for cleaning smaller areas or for applying soap or other products to the skin. Towels, on the other hand, are larger and more versatile, making them ideal for drying off after a shower or bath.

Do dermatologists recommend washcloths?

While washcloths can be beneficial in some cases, dermatologists generally do not recommend them for cleaning the face. Washcloths can be abrasive and can actually irritate the skin, causing redness, dryness, and even breakouts. If you do choose to use a washcloth, be sure to use a very soft one and be gentle when scrubbing the face.

How do you clean a washcloth?

To clean a washcloth, simply throw it in the washing machine with your other laundry. You can use laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach if desired. To clean a washcloth by hand, soak it in warm water and laundry detergent for a few minutes before scrubbing it with a brush. Rinse well and hang to dry.

How many washcloths should you use when showering?

When showering, you should use at least 2 washcloths. One to wash your body and one to wash your hair.

WhiteClassic Luxury Washcloths for Bathroom-Hotel-Spa-Kitchen - Circlet Egyptian Cotton - Highly Absorbent Hotel Quality Face Towels - Bulk Set of 12 - White Review:

I wasn't sure I wanted to buy washcloths online without touching them a few months ago when I was seeking to replace all of our washcloths, but the other reviews persuaded me that these were worthwhile to try.I am happy I did.I'm really loving having a lot of clean, white washcloths on hand, and I'm happy with the quality. I'd give these around a 7 if the thickest cotton washcloth I've ever used was a 10 and the cheapest, thinnest one was a 1.Why five stars then? I didn't anticipate the lap of luxury, I don't need my washcloths to be the lap of luxury, these are good, they're thicker than I thought, and I can tell they'll last for a while.

Utopia Towels Cotton Washcloths, 12 Pack, 700 GSM, Beige Review:

For our guest bathroom, I was looking for thick, absorbent, high-quality, reasonably priced "hand towels" in the color chocolate brown. Although we prefer the washcloth size for our hand towels on the counter, these are technically referred to as "washcloths." Although I didn't "need" 12, I bought these nevertheless because of the great pricing (and after reading numerous reviews of the Amazon option—thank you, Reviewers!). It has a dark milk chocolate hue.Compared to the pictures, mine are more thicker and more beautiful. They are very ideal for what I was looking for and fold up just as effortlessly as the larger "hand or fingertip towel." They are absorbent for drying washed hands, but I have a feeling that they will get even more so with additional washing. (**I don't use any kind of sheets or fabric softener with them, either.)As soon as I received them, I washed them all on HOT along with other kitchen and bathroom towels. Not a single color ran. They are a little little thick for my taste in face washcloths, but they are perfect for a tiny, convenient hand towel! Very happy!(Will look for different hues for our other bathrooms)

Utopia Towels Cotton Washcloths, 24 - Pack, White Review:

Along with the 24 pack of Royal washcloths, I also bought these Utopia washcloth towels. I'll do some comparing for you if you're attempting to pick between the two as I was. Keep in mind that neither are washcloths sold for $10 a piece. Prior to washing, the Royal appeared to be more expertly sewed, however after drying, there were quite a few fraying spots. They both performed poorly in this regard, but they shed more lint than the Utopia towels. In several areas, royal fabrics contain little spots that resemble rust, and the patches persisted even after bleach cleaning. The margins of royal cloths shrank more than the center, making them less aesthetically pleasing after drying than the Utopia ones. I'm content with the Utopia washcloths for $.50 each. Better than ones from Walmart at an equivalent price. I wanted them to be thin, yet they still appear soft enough for skin that is more delicate. Every time I wash my face, I like to use a fresh wash cloth. The Utopia washcloths are fantastic since I don't have to worry about damaging my pricey washcloths from overuse or heavy washing. They dry quickly and don't take up much space in the washer. very likely make another buy.

Yoofoss Washcloths Bamboo Face Cloths 8 Pack Fingertip-Face-Hand Towels Thick & Large 13''x13'' Soft & Absorbent for Bathroom-Hotel-Spa-Kitchen Review:

These towels are wonderful. Despite being considerably smaller and thinner than I had anticipated for a "adult" washcloth, they are so delicate that they quickly became my favorites. They are simply hemmed; they don't have any elaborate borders or trimming. They therefore don't look as good on display as certain washcloths that are more elaborate, but they work fine for regular use. I've washed them numerous times and haven't encountered a single loose thread. I actually prefer them over the bigger, thicker, nicer washcloths that came with my bamboo towel set now that I've gotten used to their modest size. When I need more, I'll buy more of these!

Cleanbear Extra Soft Wash Cloths Washcloths Set (6-Pack, Dark Gray) 13 x 13 Inches, Highly Absorbent Facecloths Review:

These washcloths are very stunning. They are incredibly soft, absorbent, and wash beautifully. With my towels, I don't use any dryer sheets or softeners. Years ago, I learned that using those things makes hand and bath towels less absorbent. I have a hard time finding towels that stay soft without softeners and dryer sheets because softness is a priority for me. However, these are quite soft now that they've been dried and washed. I mistakenly believed that my husband had added softener to them, but he hadn't. They are still so soft after 20 washes, so I crossed my fingers. I heartily endorse, especially if you value towels like I do:D

8 pcs Asian Exfoliating Bath Washcloth - Red & Green Review:

I can confirm that this is the REAL thing because I've used these all my life and am Korean. In reality, it's exactly the same merchandise I find in Korean markets. It's a wonderful value for an 8-count as well. This is unexpected considering that the majority of Korean goods are costly when marketed in the US. Each of these towels will cost more than a $1 and probably between two and three dollars at motels. This product saved me because I had forgotten to pack them when I bought it. The exfoliating effects are excellent in terms of impacts. Every American I've met who has tried this loves it and does it, despite the fact that it is not a staple of American society. Ask a Korean buddy if you have one.How to apply:1) To prepare your skin, take a lengthy, hot bath (or shower). Your skin's top layer needs to be thoroughly wetted and heated in order to readily peel off. I'd suggest that 20 minutes or more is ideal.2) Scrub your entire body with a reasonable level of force.3) Take note of the skin's top layer coming off. You won't feel the scrubbing impact as much if you have thick body hair.4) When you're through, use soap to cleanse your body.5) Apply body lotion or moisturizer when you're finished, ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME!If this is your first or last time, your skin will feel much softer and you'll smell much less.Note that the face is NOT affected by this. For the face, it is really too harsh.

Utopia Towels Cotton Washcloths, 12 Pack, 600 GSM, Beige Review:

I use as many washcloths as I do to wash my face after applying many layers of makeup each day. I often buy a 12-pack of washcloths from Walmart, TJ Maxx, or Amazon (whichever is the cheapest and provides me the most). After about a month of use, they all start to get rough and course from washing, but I've grown accustomed to this and simply buy another 12-pack when this happens. When I ordered these, I had the same anticipation for them. DAMN, I was shocked to discover a soft yet absorbent fabric when I unwrapped them! Although I was quite pleased with them, I knew they would begin to lose their lovely softness after one or two wash cycles, as they all do. NOPE! Even after 20 washes, they still feel as soft and cushy as the first time I took them out of the packaging. Additionally, they don't retain my black eye makeup or leave stains from it! I will never purchase a different brand as long as they continue to produce these.

Chakir Turkish Linens Turkish Cotton Luxury Hotel & Spa Bath Towel, Bath Towel - Set of 4, White Review:

I frequently make in-person purchases of towels. Why? Before I buy, I want to touch the fabric. Why? The touch can reveal a lot, including quality, organics, chemicals, and texture to mention a few. I'm picky about the towels I buy. I dislike the large, fluffy ones that people adore because (1) they frequently store too much water, which causes it to soon spoil, and/or (2) they frequently contain materials that do not absorb liquid efficiently. Therefore, for me to purchase these Turkish towels online was a novel experience, and I first performed my research.Like almost every new towel, a lot of lint can be removed during the initial washing and drying. Knowing this, I usually use the dryer to dry fresh towels by periodically pausing it to clean the lint trap. I use this to improve airflow for quicker drying and to eliminate extra lint from the lint trap in an effort to "save" my dryer. And as I had anticipated, there was a lot of lint from these towels. There were four bath towels in my package. I used my machine solely to wash the 4 towels. Due to the lint issue, if you purchase more than 4, you might only want to wash 4 at a time. The amount of lint has drastically decreased after multiple washings. Trim edges that were stitched remain sewed. The ID badges are still present. These towels launder well. These towels are thicker than I want while using them, and they appear to take a while to dry after usage. But according to my research, Egyptian cotton dries far more slowly than Turkish cotton. No soured yet.For a bath towel, these towels are a reasonable size. Although the fact that they are heavier than anticipated is not a bad thing, I personally believe that the weight extends the drying process. My rating of this towel was reduced to 4 stars because of its weight.I think these towels are excellent all around and would suggest them. They seem to be durable for a few years. If you found this review useful, kindly let me know. I'm grateful.
