This is a cheap, straightforward gadget. I use it to conceptually test how apps on an iPad, iPhone, and Android tablet interact with scanning. I would choose a more expensive model for true business use or production because the scan procedure is a touch too long and I can see application users being impatient with it. If batch scanning is supported by your application, this might not be a problem. I had trouble using the keyboard on iOS devices, but I believe that was more of an iOS quirk than a flaw in NADAMOO's features. The scanner operated flawlessly out of the box. when using the product in accordance with the guidelines provided in the accompanying manual or on the product page at Inateck's website, it worked seamlessly with both my Win10 laptop and my iPad Air. There is also a helpful "cheat card" containing scannable barcodes that may be used to start a Bluetooth connection and change between inventory modes. The TPU structure of the unit makes it lightweight and ergonomic; it doesn't feel "cheap" or "rugged," but the maker claims it can endure repeated drops of 6 feet (1.8 meters) to concrete floor. I haven't yet tried that assertion. LOL!Had a problem where the data communication speed was too rapid and resulted in an import error when uploading a batch scan ("Inventory Mode") via my laptop to our cloud-based inventory platform. Wednesday at 2:04 PM I sent an email to their customer service team; at 4 PM I got a response with extensive, detailed instructions on how to fix it, along with the most recent firmware files, their bootloader, and an updated user manual as attachments. She gave me step-by-step directions, and after I did them, I was able to change the data transfer speed to 64ms and presto! The batch scan import process was flawless! The firmware update apparently made it possible to change the data transfer speed from 0ms (the default) to 128ms.Although I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life or durability, based on my initial impressions, I am quite pleased with my purchase and am confident it will work as promised for many years to come. *Please note that the wrist strap shown in my photographs is not included with the device, though I did ask customer support to think about providing one in future packaging.

It is very simple to use once you get the hang of it, like many devices. Within seconds, you can start scanning to a text file. was fantasticBecause I want my software to read from the scanner even if it is not the computer's current focus, I am using it in USB Virtual COM mode. The HID mode, which is the default for almost all barcode scanners, including this one, works well, but the operating system monopolizes it. Therefore, unless your app has the attention, it won't let you "listen" to the scanner.I had to install an additional driver that I purchased from the seller in order to activate USB Virtual COM mode. They have responded VERY quickly. I've had a lot of back-and-forth with them, and they are prompt and supportive. Their email address and all the necessary adjustments are listed in the manual that comes with the scanner. I'm running multiple scanners at once off of the same USB wireless plug. To accomplish this, I configured each scanner to use a prefix with a number using the codes in the accompanying booklet. for scanner 1, enter 1:abc123def, and for scanner 23, enter 23:abc123def. Because of this, all users may work at once and I can tell which scanner was used in my app regardless of how many are currently scanning. I was assigned an assignment that required entering 1100 bar codes into a spreadsheet. I then started hunting for a cheap scanner. This one met all the requirements. On both my Windows 10 desktop and Windows 7 laptop, it was plug and play. It completed the scanning quickly. Just as I hoped, it scans the label before moving on to the subsequent cell. Anyone seeking to conduct some bar code scanning should try this, in my opinion. I didn't need the good handbook that it came with, which had configuration bar codes to set up for particular uses. I had a lot of concerns regarding this product. It only $17 and appeared to accomplish everything I wanted it to, but was it too good to be true? I suppose not! It works SO WELL and does EXACTLY what I need it to! The ONLY drawback I can think of is that it is lightweight, which gives it a slightly cheap feeling. However, I have used it for a month and it has held up very well. I use it to enter tracking information, as you can see in my video, so that I don't have to set and punch in 16-digit tracking numbers for 50 deliveries a day. Absolutely NO SETUP IS NECESSARY! nothing to download the first time, no disk to insert. The ONLY THING you need to do is insert the device into your computer's USB port, position your cursor where you want your information to appear, and scan. The end! I'm really impressed with this scan gun, as you can tell. Hopefully, my review and video will help any customers who have questions before making a purchase, like I did.

I've only ever used large scanners, which were really cumbersome to use. This one is really portable and simple to use. Its ability to be utilized wirelessly and in three different ways—wires, wireless mode, and Bluetooth mode—pleases me. I love having so many alternatives, depending on what I'm doing.Although I haven't utilized the wired yet, I'm glad to have the alternative if necessary.While setup does require some thought as to how you will use it, the handbook is so comprehensive and simple to follow that it really isn't a huge deal at all. I appreciate how it comes in a storage container that is small enough to fit easily in my purse.
