SiriusXM SXSD2 Portable Speaker Dock Audio System for Dock and Play Radios (Black) Review:

Initially reviewing: I don't have time to write bad reviews because this is my first review ever, so I'll just return the item. I've made literally hundreds of happy purchases from Amazon, many of which have really satisfied my cravings for electrical, musical, audio recording, and photographic goods. However, I've never felt compelled to write a stellar review until now.Being something of an audiophile, I had low expectations for this inexpensive device. What a shock! I'm writing this review while listening to a blues song on my iPad since I'm so impressed. Even so, I've only had the product for five days, so I can't comment on how durable it is; instead, I'll focus on how good it sounds. Please take this with some context, audiophiles in the audience—I'm not reviewing a high-end audio component. I'm happy with the sound quality of these medium-quality compressed streaming files being played by a boombox that costs more than $100.1] Unlike many cheap boomboxes, the low end wasn't boomy. The solo guitars in the song came through with clarity and impact, which was really pleasing.3] The vocals, especially the male voices, are so appealing because they have just the appropriate amount of energy in the right frequency band to transmit warmth, character, and the perfect tone and tambre. The speaker offers excellent conveniences in addition to the aforementioned aural capabilities, including: [1] portability (batteries for transporting the unit to your favorite park - I haven't tested the batteries yet as I'm waiting for my rechargeables to arrive),Since the boombox has a sufficient volume for listening, the Aux in connection is a fantastic convenience. I'm actually using it right now to pipe my Pandora Blues channel from my iPhone into the boombox. In order to avoid having to carry the antenna cable and the actual antenna separately and risk losing them, the device has a handy rack on the back.4] A nice remote that controls both the satellite radio and the speaker and offers all the controls the radio needs is available. The remote's inclusion of volume controls and mute is a wonderful touch.5] There is no movement of the satellite radio inside the boombox, which bodes well for long-term stability.6] The speaker is stylish; it's a little bigger than I anticipated (judging from the photos, it appears larger than the other boom boxes, which were more expensive), but I'm happy with my choice of the SXSD2 model due to price and what seems to be added portability (I'm not comparing the portability of other models because I haven't tried the other boxes). It does appear to be of high quality.I want to locate a travel bag that will fit perfectly so I can maintain it looking brand new because I usually keep my purchases for a very long time. Finally, purchase this item; you won't be sorry. Since it's your hard-earned money, I understand that some consumers are choosy, but I don't think you can go wrong for more than $100. I make this claim despite having $500 worth of Bose headphones and premium portable speakers. With this device, I can access my satellite radio service from any location, including my home, the balcony, the park, and the beach, as well as stream music from my Amazon and iTunes music libraries and Pandora. I did toy with the idea of simply mounting this boombox on the backseat of my car as I drive (if I could figure out how to get an adequate signal for the uninstalled antenna), but that adventure is now moot. Instead, I made a reservation with my audio professional store to have the SiriusXM magnetic antenna permanently installed in my car.Get it!!

SiriusXM SXV300v1 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit for Satellite Radio with Free 3 Months Satellite and Streaming Service Review:

Works well, but occasionally the head unit will boot up with a message telling me to check the tuner connection because SiriusXM is not receiving a signal. I made several attempts, varying the radio bands, but SiriusXM would not work. When I got there, I restarted the car after turning it off. This time, SiriusXM must have displayed and worked properly, and the Pioneer radio must have booted up correctly. Here, the old adage is applicable: restart the computer, and if necessary, reboot it again. Much preferable to disassembling everything to find nothing wrong. On the other hand, I am supposed to receive 90 days for free with the purchase of my tuner. When I called the number listed on the radio, they informed me that I needed to call another number in order to receive my free 90 days. After 45 minutes of waiting on hold, I called that number and hung up because I was getting impatient. As a paying customer, your call will likely be answered right away, but if you call the free subscription line, you might never actually speak to a representative. This suggests that SiriusXM doesn't really want to honor its FREE service. terrible customer service

Foval 200W Car Power Inverter DC 12V to 110V AC Converter with 4 USB Ports Charger Review:

What I like about this Inverter with USB is that 1) The USB ports are all together, not some on the side, some on the face, etc. 2) The 2 A/C Inverter Sockets are only powered when the on/off switch is engaged, so if only using USB, the inverter portion os OFF. 3) The 4 USB ports are all 2.4v so that can deliver maximum power. As an Uber/Lyft driver I wanted to provide all the necessary options for my passengers. Although my vehicle has 2 builtin USB ports for the back seat, if I have 3 people, or perhaps one person with multiple devices, I wanted to provide as many options as possible. So a person/people could be charging a couple phones and a couple tablets via USB, and still plug their laptops in via the A/C outlets. This is a very well made device, I am impressed with the quality. I have it plugged into a power port inside my console.I mounted with with some Command Velcro Strips so if necessary I can remove and reinstall easily.

SiriusXM SXEZR1V1 Onyx EZR Satellite Radio with Vehicle Kit - Get 3 Months Free Service with Subscription Review:

I adore radio The radio had a phone number to call for a "great offer," so I did. When I called, a man with a thick Indian accent who was difficult to understand took my credit card information, recorded the call, gave me a confirmation number, and instructed me to call 1800 373-3411 in 10 minutes (which turned out to be an ATT number). They have no understanding what is happening, and they have no knowledge who I am or anything else, and the confirmation number is nothing to them. Since I drive a truck and never have cash on hand, I have to use my credit card for everything. I have to cancel my card because I have no idea who I gave my information to. I called the number on the radio again, but they don't know who I am, and the confirmation number means nothing to them either. The radio's number, 844 711-8800, was a legitimate XM number that could be used to activate it without a credit card, but they have been taken over.

ChargerCity Dual USB Sirius XM Satellite Radio Car Truck Lighter Socket Mount w/Tilt Adjust & PowerConnect Cable Adapter for Onyx Plus EZR EZ Lynx Stratus Starmate Xpress (Vehicle Dock NOT Included) Review:

We sold our automobile that had Sirius XM built in and wanted to transfer the membership to our 2002 Lexus RX300, which did not have Sirius XM. From one of the two USB power ports at the base of the mount, the OnyxPlus Sirius XM radio is powered using the supplied USB adapter. I was worried that the USB power adapter might interfere with the FM power antenna's ability to transmit audio to the FM radio in the car, but it worked surprisingly lot better than I anticipated. The lightweight adapter fits tightly and is unmoved by sharp turns or rough terrain. My lone suggestion is that they increase the rotating radius of the ball gimbal on the back of the radio mount in a future iteration. I've heard complaints that the socket adapter doesn't fit tightly enough. I'm confident that lighter sockets have a wide range of sizes and tolerances. A little duct tape added to slightly expand the diameter of the socket adapter would fix the problem in less than a MacGyver minute if my mount was loose in the lighter socket.

SiriusXM Stratus 7 Satellite Radio with Vehicle Kit | 3 MONTHS ALL ACCESS FREE WITH SUBSCRIPTION Review:

I acquired this and transfer it over when I get in the truck to go to a race because I like my satellite radio but I can't afford to pay to put it in every car. Connect the aux cable to the car radio, and voilà... You may be curious about the antenna. Look at my other purchases; I got a magnetic mount that attaches to the windshield or dash; I put the metal piece on the antenna's bottom and mounted it at the front of the dash by the windshield; boom; it works 99.9% of the time. It only cut out once, in a canyon. Of course there are a few cables moving back and forth, but my goal isn't to impress NASA. I simply want radio that isn't solely Rush Limbaugh or Waylon Jennings.

SiriusXM SXPL1V1 Onyx Plus Satellite Radio with Vehicle Kit with Free 3 Months Satellite and Streaming Service Review:

I've been an XM radio subscriber for over a decade...since 2002 as a matter of fact. I've had many radios over that time. This is easily the best radio they've ever made. And it's not even close. The good:s- It has 20 presets; two banks of 10. I've found that to be more than enough.- Screen is bright, easy to read, and organized.- TuneStart. This alone is worth the purchase. After the radio has been running for a few minutes, whenever I tune to a station in my presets, it starts at the beginning of the song. It makes scanning around for music a far more enjoyable experience. You'll never again find a song you want to hear and only be able to catch the last 30 seconds.- TuneMix. Start this mode and your radio will play one complete song from a random preset. After the song ends, it'll change to another channel and play another complete song there. It works with most music channels and it's an easy way to listen to a mix of all your presets. The best part of TuneMix is the ability to skip a song you don't want to hear and simply jump to the next one.- Supports the Xtra/2.0 channels that only the newest XM radios can tune to. These channels have far better sound quality than the regular 1.0 channels. The bad:s- If you're an audiophile, XM may frustrate you. The standard 1.0 channels often sound compressed. The 2.0 channels sound much better, however.- Plug and play radio. The plus is that you can install it yourself. The downside is that since you're doing it yourself, it won't be as clean of an install as if the receiver was built into your car. Doesn't bother me, but I could see some people wanting something more integrated.- FM Modulation. The FM transmitter can be weak. The signal is further degraded if you have multiple devices plugged into other outlets in your car (e.g. my iPhone charger) (e.g. my iPhone charger). Luckily there is also an option for a direct connection via an AUX port.Overall:sThis is a fantastic radio. There's a few shortcomings but they aren't the fault of the radio itself. If you want SiriusXM, this is the radio to choose.

SiriusXM SXPL1H1 Onyx Plus Satellite Radio with Home Kit with Free 3 Months Satellite and Streaming Service Review:

In fact, I've been an XM radio customer since 2002, which is more than ten years ago. Over that period, I've owned a lot of radios. They have easily produced their finest radio with this one. It's also not even close. The positives: - It contains two banks of 10 settings, totaling 20. That, I've discovered, is more than enough.- The screen is well-lit, readable, and structured.– TuneStart The purchase is worthwhile only for this. When I tune to a station in one of my presets after the radio has been playing for a while, the song begins at the beginning. It significantly improves the fun of looking around for music. Never again will you just be able to hear the last 30 seconds of a song you want to hear.– TuneMix When you start this mode, your radio will play a full song from a randomly selected preset. After the song is finished, it will switch to a different channel and play a different full song there. It is a simple method to listen to a mix of all your presets and is compatible with the majority of music channels. The option to skip a song you don't want to hear and immediately move on to the next one is the best feature of TuneMix.- Supports the Xtra/2.0 channels, which can only be accessed by the most recent XM radios. The sound on these channels is much better than on the standard 1.0 channels. The bad: XM might annoy you if you're an audiophile. The 1.0 channel standard frequently sounds compressed. However, the 2.0 channels sound much better.Radio that is plug-and-play. You can install it yourself, which is a benefit. The drawback is that since you're installing it yourself, the installation won't be as neat as if the receiver were already in your automobile. I don't mind, although I can see why some people would like something more integrated.Modulation using FM. A weak FM transmitter is possible. If you have other devices connected into different outlets in your automobile, the signal is further weakened (e.g. my iPhone charger). Fortunately, an AUX port can also be used for a direct connection.Overall, this radio is excellent. There are some issues, but the radio is not to blame for them. The radio to chose if you want SiriusXM is this one.

SiriusXM Interoperable Vehicle Docking Station SXVD1(A) Review:

It succeeded. When I upgraded my receiver, I needed a new dock for one of my vehicles even though I already had my other connections set up. As stated in the description, "A docking plate for Sirius receivers and XM receivers are included for a more secure fit," I was lead to believe that the plates for the various receivers were included. However, nothing was. Actually, there was only the dock.
