Even though printing calculators seem like they would be a relic of the past, they are actually still used by a lot of people. Many businesses still use them for keeping track of inventory and calculating prices. They are also popular among students and professionals who need to take a lot of notes. Printing calculators are also a good choice for people who need a calculator that is easy to read.

As the world increasingly moves towards digitalization, some may wonder if accountants still use 10 key calculators. The answer is yes, they do! While many accountants now use computer programs to do their calculations, there are still many instances where a 10 key calculator is needed. For example, when an accountant is reviewing a client’s paper records, a 10 key calculator can be used to quickly and accurately total up numbers. Additionally, many accountants still find 10 key calculators to be essential when working on their own personal finances. In short, 10 key calculators are still

The machine arrived very quickly via free shipping. I bought this to replace an older model Sharp calculator, on which I had accidentally spilled cranberry juice drink. I cleaned it off right away, but this drink has a lot of sugar and/or corn syrup, and some fell down between the keys and gummed up the works. I took the machine apart to see if I could clean under the keys, but it would have been a major undertaking and I don't think I would have been successful. With all that being said, this machine is quieter than my older one, and it has all the same virtues that made me like my old one so much. Particularly desirable is that fact that the display of this machine is brightly illuminated, and the numerals are big enough to be read from a distance. In our office, the calculator sits in a dark valley between a large computer installation and a large printer. If the calculator had a display of black numerals against a gray background we would need an additional lamp just to use the calculator. As an unexpected and very welcome bonus, the machine comes with a rigid transparent plastic bubble that allows a customer to see the machine while it is still in its packaging. Since my wife and I often drink coffee, tea, juice, or wine while working at the computer, I have saved this bubble and will keep it on top of the calculator to protect it from any spills that might occur while it is not being used.

This device replaces an older Sharp calculator that, after more than 20 years of arduous use, finally failed. Though this item is nearly identical, nothing is currently produced in the same way as it was in the past. Everything has been made lighter, thinner, and usually more inexpensively, but the quality has suffered as a result. On the other hand, this calculator performs what it is meant to do, at least right out of the box. The keys are set up for me in the proper location (some manufacturers seem to have the keys in rather bizarre arrangements). Additionally, it is quick, quiet, and small without being claustrophobic.I think it's important that the keys feel comfortable when you're entering data. The keys themselves, as well as their separation from one another, are cozy (I personally do not like the sculpted "Chiclet-like" keys that butt up against each other; for me at least, those keys tend to encourage physical slips that result in incorrect entries). You cannot or do not press the "Chiclet" keys too far because they appear to have a short distance of travel. This unit provides feedback to your brain while you are entering data (especially in a rush) that you have truly made the entry, which some people may find to be an advantage. I like to be able to depress the key for what feels like a 1/4" or so.I would gladly pay several times as much for the heft and quality of the device as I did for my much-missed older printing calculator described above than I would for this one, but no one seems to offer anything comparable. From my thorough research, I don't believe there is a better unit out there, and some are offered at two to three times the price. I was going to give this unit four stars because it is not flawless, but it does all the fundamental jobs well - and then some.

Macular degeneration affects me. My old calculator's tape has been difficult to read. I had to use the magnifier. For me, the Victor machine is a miracle. I can read the dark, large, legible numerals on the tape. There is no need to read the tiny, red numbers for subtraction anymore. Red numerals are unnecessary for subtraction regardless. I had never heard of thermal before. It's fantastic that ink cartridge purchases are no longer necessary. The thermal paper roll is extremely affordable in price. About $5.00. Additionally, a thermal roll has a long lifespan. This calculator runs quickly and is quite quiet. The front readout panel is excellent. The sums are substantial. The numerals are shown with a black backdrop and a yellow font. My primary usage for this calculator is checking my checkbook. The calculator is simple to use. I believe the majority of laypeople utilize it for typical uses. I primarily use it to calculate percentages and to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. If you have low vision, this calculator is highly advised. Please consider making the big print calculator available to non-commercial users, Victor. Many of us are not bookkeepers or accountants. Make the calculator easy to use for elders, baby boomers, and anyone with low vision. As a result, I am now only using the machine's central section, which has the numbers. It's ok. It's simple. We are appreciative that you made this machine available to us. I adore it.

I used a Canon MP21D calculator for the preceding 20 years. Up to its demise, I adored it. A calculator can live for a very long time. Since the MP11DX will utilize the same ribbons, it seemed like a good replacement option. It fits my desk space better because it is a little bit smaller. I have only ever used plug-and-go calculators in the past (of course after removing packaging protections). I was unable to successfully use the sleep mode, though. Finally, I had to disconnect it, take the battery out, put the new battery in, re-plug it, and then hit the reset button once again. After I finished, everything functioned well. I wish it didn't have the calendar feature, sleep mode, and battery that will eventually need to be changed because I don't use them anyhow. I've never seen one with a pen or pencil holder before. It's a great touch, that.

I am an 83 year old woman who has worked on computers since 1984 and have gone through lots of adding machines; this one is great. I needed a little adding machine near my computer for various times and with the large readable keys and the large display window; I couldn't be happier. Lots of bells and whistles with this unit that I won't really use but if someone is interested in them all, you can't go wrong with this purchase. I did get a small amount of tape delivered with the unit, however I had plenty of my own but if you don't have any tape, better purchase some extra. Even as I view the unit, way back on the desk and under a covered area, I can still read the display.

So that you people can see the size, I've printed it on letter-sized paper. Although it's not the most advanced business printing calculator, it's suitable and reasonably priced for calculations at home. Because the "starting" roll is so little and you'll need to thread a fresh roll straight away, make sure to purchase a regular roll of paper tape.

fantastic stuff Once you get used to using it, it's simple. claims that adding machine tape is included. Let's go! There is a tiny sample roll supplied. As I was learning how to use the machine, I utilized the roll. Send a roll of tape in the standard size. I was fortunate to order paper at the same time.

I use the equipment frequently as an accountant. Buttons that print quickly work well for touch entry. Contrary to some who claimed there is no automatic insertion of two decimals, a short reading of the instructions would have demonstrated how; simply change the selector button to A and choose two decimals, and it will function flawlessly. My old machine died after 15 years, and I had a hard time getting used to the total on the left, but that is no longer a problem. When I'm working with enormous columns of numbers, this machine is robust and easily keeps up with me.
