Whether or not you need to replace your shocks when installing a leveling kit depends on a few factors. First, check your shocks to see if they are in good condition. If they are leaking or otherwise damaged, then you will need to replace them. Second, consider the type of terrain you will be driving on. If you will be driving on rough roads or off-road, then new shocks will improve your ride quality. Finally, consult your leveling kit instructions to see if they recommend replacing shocks. In general, it is a good idea to replace shocks when installing a leveling kit, especially
A leveling kit is an aftermarket suspension modification that alters the height of a vehicle. Many people install leveling kits to even out the height of their vehicle from front to back. This is often done when a vehicle has been raised in the front, such as when a larger engine or transmission is installed, or when the vehicle has been equipped with a suspension lift kit. Some people also install leveling kits for aesthetic reasons. While leveling kits can improve the look of a vehicle, they can also have a negative impact on the suspension. When a vehicle is lifted in the front, the
If you install a leveling kit on your vehicle, it is not necessary to realign the vehicle's suspension. However, it is recommended to have an alignment performed after any suspension modifications are made to ensure that the vehicle's wheels are aligned correctly.

I've had positive experiences with this product thus far. It performs just as said. Ascend and level. With the exception of the noticeable variation in tire tread, the ride quality remained constant. According to what the shop told me, installation was easy. Alignment and installation cost roughly $550. Anyone might use this to estimate the cost of the work. Anything over 600, in my opinion, is excessive. I hired a performance shop to handle it because they have experience troubleshooting aftermarket components. In order to pull the wheels into alignment, they had to use ratchet straps. On a 9x20 wheel, I'm also using 33x12.5x20 ridge grappler tires. Only the pinch weld needed to be folded over and the cloth liner had to be pulled back to take up the slack in the wheel well. The crucial aspect for anyone attempting to run a 33 second race is to GET YOUR OFFSET RIGHT! haha. I spent a month doing research since it is crucial. Nobody has any accurate information online about this car. Just debate forums with people. The 33 can fit because I have wheels with a 30 offset. A 38 offset, according to RC, requires no alterations at all with an 11.5 wide tire. I desired a bigger footprint tire and a slight aggressive poke on the sides. If you want 33s and a lower offset, such as a 0 or - offset, you'll have to cut the outside lining of the fender up and it will look bad.

So I bought these for my 2008 Ram 2500 4x4. Here are the benefits and drawbacks:Pros: Excellent deal and lowest pricing I couldn't find a more identical product anyplace. It fit perfectly, came with new nuts, took less than three hours to install with minimal tools, and had a powder coat finish.Cons: Components are stamped, and although the welds are physically robust, they don't look well.I would recommend these and would buy them again, but if you are a purist you might want to spend a few extra dollars because once they are covered in dirt you wouldn't notice the weld spatter. They aren't horrid, and I'm a fabricator but I couldn't make these anywhere close to the same price I bought them for.

In my 2012 Toyota Tacoma double cab short bed with a 3 leaf pack (two regular leaves and one overload leaf, for a total of three leaves), I'm traveling cross-country with three people and a light load (probably about 650 lbs with the people and cargo). I'm constantly hitting the bumpstops over medium bumps, and the truck handles like I'm towing a huge trailer. A helper spring was suggested when I asked around, so I looked them up on Amazon and since I didn't have any other tools on hand because I was traveling, I decided to give them a shot. WOW, what a change; my truck now handles like a truck once more. Even after packing the truck with five people, it actually seems smoother, handles better, and hasn't bottomed out yet. Additionally, unlike in the past, it doesn't slump in the back when accelerating from a standstill. One of the taco's best improvements to date. I've only driven it 200 miles so far, but those 200 miles have been the most enjoyable since I've owned the vehicle. Definitely, especially if you're trying to restore your truck's sense of identity. I can't speak to durability or towing capacity, but I hazard to guess they ought to be alright; only time will tell.Update: Only twice bottomed down while traveling cross-country with the springs. One of the road bumps was quite sharp, and the other was a fairly large dip that was right by my house, which I took quickly because I had been driving for 22 hours and needed to get home. Thus, 1400 miles later, they are still in terrific shape. Absolutely no complaints. Also worth mentioning is that my dad bought the helpers from Advanced Auto, and while they presumably work the same, they didn't look as nice. These appear to have a marginally nicer finish and more attractive hardware.Update 7/25/2015: Toyota placed a new leaf pack, a 4-leaf pack (3 leaves and 1 overload leaf), on my Tacoma, and I reinstalled the helpers. It really felt much better even with the new leaf pack. With those somewhat harder hits and when you're carrying more weight in the bed, it definitely helps. I still adore them and would strongly advise anyone looking to give their bike a general upgrade to do so.

Was initially sceptical to purchase something so cheap compared to a quote from a nearby 4x4 store. They wanted $700 to accomplish what this accomplishes at a quarter of the price. This kit was quickly delivered when I requested it a few weeks ago. Last Saturday was spent installing this kit. It was a little difficult and took me a few hours, but I finished it! Compared to the factory nose-down, my brand-new 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 looks considerably better. I used to have a 3" rake running from back to front, but it's now barely a 1" rake. It really is a levelling lift of 2".

worked perfectly. I leveled my truck, which has 140k miles, and I think I can raise it another two." The ride is only little rougher. Autozone let me rent a torsion bar tool, so I didn't have to spend money on a "one-time tool." The shock extenders were installed because they were included with the kit. People said they hadn't used them, but I did, and I'm glad I did.

For heavy towing when I move, I placed this on my 1996 GMC Sierra ext Cab with the 5.0. Based on the suggested specs, I am pushing this 20-year-old K1500 quite hard because I will have roughly 1000 lbs in the bed and a 3300 weight trailer. Therefore, the packaging was good, Prime shipping took only two days, and the price was the best I could find on Amazon at around $90, making it a wonderful deal.Installing was quite simple. The most difficult step was taking out my OEM axle u bolts (had to grind them out). The 991 wheels were simply installed, long side to the back, secured to the axle, lifted by the frame, u-bolted to the leaf springs, and torqued as evenly as I could. At my current torque, I received around a 3/4" lift unloaded (about 75% of the maximum spring load). I noticed a change in the suspension right away, and I'm attaching a video to compare the two. The body roll differs significantly. You can see how effectively this maintains the truck's level versus stock. If you need to take your car as far as it can safely go, I strongly suggest this product. Without spending hundreds of dollars on new leaf springs or a load leveling hitch, you can upgrade the ride and stability of your work vehicle for about $85. Obtaining 5 stars. I'll provide an update after my 800-mile trip.

My 1500 had 3/4 ton rear springs, which raised the back end even higher than it already was, so I chose the 2.5 inch lift. My truck now looks much nicer and is completely level thanks to this device, which elevated it exactly 2.5 inches. They have addressed that issue because my kit came with 12.9 grade bolts. However, 2.5 inches is exactly the maximum lift that can be achieved with this kind of kit. Due to this, installation is challenging as there is little room between the bolt and the CV axle (which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5). Although I'm pleased with this kit, if I were to do it over again, I'd probably choose the kit that rests on top of the strut.
A leveling kit is an aftermarket suspension modification that alters the ride height of a vehicle. It is achieved by either replacing or modifying the suspension components to achieve a desired effect. In most cases, a leveling kit will not affect the shocks.
There are a few ways to tell if your car has a self-leveling suspension system. One way is to look at the car's suspension system itself. Most self-leveling suspension systems have a leveling sensor and an electronic control unit. Another way to tell is to look for a button or switch on the dash that says "level" or "leveling." If your car has either of these, then it likely has a self-leveling suspension system.
A self-leveling shock absorber is a type of shock absorber that is designed to automatically adjust the level of damping force that it applies to the suspension in response to changes in the terrain. This allows the suspension to maintain a consistent level of comfort and performance regardless of the conditions.
A bag of self-leveling cement costs around $30. This type of cement is used to level out uneven surfaces before laying tile or other flooring. It is also used to repair cracks in concrete.
Self-leveling suspension is not air suspension. Air suspension uses airbags to support the vehicle, while self-leveling suspension uses a system of hydraulics or springs to keep the vehicle level.
The three types of mechanical suspension systems are: 1. Leaf spring suspension system 2. Coil spring suspension system 3. Air spring suspension system
