Yes, IAC can cause hesitation. When the IAC is not working properly, it can cause the engine to hesitate or stall.
You can clean the IAC with WD40. Just make sure to disconnect the battery first. Then, remove the IAC and clean it with WD40.
If your idle air control valve is dirty, it can cause your engine to idle erratically or stall. You can clean your idle air control valve without removing it, using a can of compressed air. First, disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, locate the idle air control valve on your engine. It is usually located on the throttle body. Use the compressed air to blow any dirt or debris out of the valve. You may need to use a toothbrush to help remove any stubborn dirt. Finally, reconnect the negative battery cable and start your engine. It should now idle smoothly.

This part cost 230.00 locally, which is entirely too expensive. Low demand is the cause of this. Purchasing input/output sensors, drive-ability-related parts, and other components from a Chinese supplier or manufacturer might be problematic. In this instance, it is spec'd out, tested, and works just like the OEM component. I hold a Master Certification in Mechanics (1988-Present). I used my scan tool to check the IAC's function parameters, and it passed without a hitch.A 2002 Mazda 626 with a 2.0L engine that would not maintain idle after a morning cold start was the vehicle in question. It is crucial that you also change the gasket; it is not provided and you must get it here or from the dealer. Only Mazda manufactures this gasket; there are no aftermarket alternatives. To replace this IAC, you must first remove the throttle body (a new gasket is also required), as there is a screw that you cannot remove otherwise.

Check for proper operation with each tune-up and replace when trouble codes indicate failure
The computer moves the pintle in and out of an opening that bypasses the throttle blade
Symptoms of failure include engine stalling, surging, poor idle conditions, and or a check engine light
Allows the computer to precisely control idle speed when varying loads are placed on the engine
Controlled by the onboard computer

This component fixed the issue—at least for the final few hours of operation—with Durango's continual stalling when stopped. I don't use it too much, but so far, so good. I was a little concerned because the majority of people fixing the "erratic idle" and stalling problem needed this to fix the problem because mine was only stalling and not badly revving as others had noted. However, the issue seems to have been resolved because the part fitted easily and seems to be well made.

All V-6 Hondas use this component to control the idle speed. It performed flawlessly in my Acura (Honda). Installing it is not too difficult. Just be careful to bleed the coolant system as you refill; otherwise, an air pocket will form inside the idle air control, rendering it inoperable. Leave the radiator cover off while the engine is idling if you don't use a specific purpose coolant filter (start the process cold). Squeeze the radiator hoses quickly to release the trapped air.

fantastic stuff purchased a Civic with an intake pressure and IAC code. bought this since it was reasonably priced. Installing was fairly simple. The coolant hose clamps being in poor places was my only complaint. For a month the product has been on the automobile with no problems. I got rid of my check engine light and high idle problem. Would repurchase!

INCRESE THE SPEED:The ECU controls the idle speed control valve to increase the intake air amount, thereby increasing the idle speed and preventing the engine from running unstable or stalling.
ATTENTION:Please check the part number before purchasing to ensure fitment and Check for proper operation with each tune-up and replace when trouble codes indicate failure,. Any questions please send us email
ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY:Good fuel economy is achieved by maintaining minimum idle speed and deceleration air volume control.Improve emissions by increasing the amount of air during sudden deceleration.

This cost approximately a third as much as chain retailers for vehicle parts. At low throttle, there was a spike that I perceived as the transmission searching for the proper gear or locking up the TCC. There was some hesitation while starting from a halt. Scanner not producing any codes or indications. runs well right now.
To test your idle air control valve, or IAC, with a multimeter, first locate the valve on your engine. On most engines, it will be on the side of the throttle body, near the air intake. Once you have located the IAC, disconnect the electrical connector from the valve. Next, set your multimeter to the ohms setting and touch the leads to the terminals on the IAC. The multimeter should read close to zero ohms if the IAC is working properly. If the multimeter reads infinite ohms, or if the reading
One way to stop rough idle is to clean the throttle body and IAC valve. These are two common areas where dirt and grime can build up and cause idle issues. Another way to stop rough idle is to check all of the engine's vacuum hoses and make sure they are connected and not damaged. A damaged or loose vacuum hose can cause all sorts of engine problems, including rough idle. Finally, make sure that the engine's spark plugs are in good condition and that the spark plug wires are not damaged or loose.
The cost to fix an air valve will vary depending on the type of valve and the severity of the problem. A simple fix for a leaky valve may only cost a few dollars, while a more complex repair could cost hundreds of dollars.
How much does it cost to replace the idle air control? The cost to replace the idle air control will vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle. However, the average cost is between $50 and $200.
A failing idle air control valve can cause the engine to idle erratically or stall. The most common symptom is the engine stalling when coming to a stop. The engine may also idle rough or stall when first started.
The fuel injection idle air control valve is a device that is used to regulate the air flow into the engine. This device is responsible for maintaining the engine idle speed. It is also used to improve the fuel economy of the vehicle.
