These plugs work perfectly. I mistakenly believed that these would completely prevent water from entering the Polaris's bottom, much like kayak scupper plugs do. No, they don't. The drawback is that after you drain the water, the floorboard will become heavily soiled with debris. They fit snugly, earning me a 4-star rating. However, having them screwed in is useless if you intend to cross deep water. They must be suitable for just dirt trail riding.

Because mine was leaking some oil, I purchased this drain plug for my 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 5.3L. This plug stopped all leaks and also comes magnetised to remove metal shaving from oil when drained. This is a great idea, and it works great. Additionally, the wrench size is a 13mm, which is more common than the original size; I always had to search through all of my tools to find the right size. I rate it five stars.

The product is weighty and feels high-quality, and the threads appear to have been well-machined.After my most recent oil change, my OEM drain plug—probably made of a metal that is far too soft—began to leak (4th oil change). It was because of this that I eventually fired the Fumoto. The simplicity of not having to replace the OEM drain plug every two oil changes makes up for the price premium over a conventional drain bolt, in my opinion.I didn't immediately purchase this valve because I reasoned that the threads sticking out into the drain pan would make it harder to drain the oil. However, I came to the realization that the container inside the pan probably protrudes approximately the same amount and therefore some oil will never be completely emptied. Better than discovering a leak through a plug soon after a brand-new oil change, in any case.Furthermore, no matter how carefully you pull the plug out, the WRX has a tendency to eject oil like you've hit an oil reserve. Thus, this is a major plus (

The installation process was simple. To keep the valve in the proper position as I torqued the bolt to specification, I had to repeatedly loosen and tighten the bolt. But it only took a short while. There haven't been any leaks for a week.Because the drain plug was on the side of the pan, changing the oil in my truck was always a disaster. At first, the oil would shoot out a few feet, but as it drained, the stream would creep inward and I would have to continuously adjust the drain pan to "guess" where it would go. I was never able to change the oil without spilling it all over the garage floor and myself.This will undoubtedly make changing my oil much simpler and keep me lot cleaner. (However, I still need to take care of the oil filter.)
