If you own a first-generation 4runner with a poor LSPV, be aware that despite being M10x1.0, the flare is bubbled. Inverted flare stock runners are present (at least on mine 1986). You're going to run into trouble if you try to install this valve in the LSPV's former location. You will want an adapter, and at least the Advance ones are too short. Possibly, a Miata website will contain the appropriate ones. Look in the forums. It would unquestionably function better if you instead cut and flared your own lines exactly next to the master cylinder behind the hood (just my opinion, no meaningful advice).

Aftermarket Ford 9" axle in a Jeep made it impossible to order parts using the "year, make, and model" criteria. The kit performed flawlessly.When the self-adjusting spring holding the cable guide in place broke, the cable guide fell, removing the self-adjusting spring and damaging the guide, cable, and self-adjusting spring.This kit changed everything. The only distinction is that mine had a lengthy spring, whereas the kit's primary shoe return spring has a shorter version. Since the brake shoes have perforations for either length of spring, there is no problem.Used 11"x2 1/4" Wagner Z263R brake shoe set.

My XJ's rear brakes were rebuilt thanks to this fantastic device. For Jeep XJ owners, here is a major hint: (Mines a 98). The adjuster's cable and spring: The two springs and the cable spring for the brake adjustment are attached at the top. At the top, attach the original metal "T" spacer first, then the eye hole of the cable and spring brake adjuster. then the two metal springs for the pads (not included with the package). It is designed to fit tightly and to ensure that the lever at the end of the cable and spring that rests against the brake adjuster at the bottom of the brakes is in the correct position. That eye hole is large for a reason. I saw few videos on YouTube, including one called Bleeping Jeep, where they did it incorrectly.

I think the quality was a fantastic match for the original. However, it arrived with two green springs that I was unable to utilize. In contrast to the previous hardware, which required four yellow springs—two for each wheel—I now just need two. This required me to recycle two old springs. Without any guidance, this is the best I could do. Still of very high caliber!

Before installing the parts, please make sure they are exactly what is shown in the picture. The kit I received while having the correct part number does not match what was in the package. This was bought to go with my 2001 Ford Ranger's 10-inch brakes. It was for a Chrysler minivan that was in the box. As an ASE technician, I have long utilized Carlson goods without experiencing any issues. I note that a few users of this kit have reported issues with pieces that don't fit. This Could Define Why. Either these are incorrectly labeled or they are improperly packaged. See what's in my second kit when it arrives. Once more, the item in the photo must match exactly with what is in the package for installation to be successful.—————————————————————————The second kit arrived today, and it was precisely like the picture, with all the pieces included. It should function OK, but I haven't installed it yet.

This package is fantastic and offers excellent value. My issue was that it did not fit my car. The product would thus receive five stars, while the Amazon shopping experience would deduct one point.The kit contained the correct parts in the incorrect size. The brakes on my car, a 1994 Mazda B-series pickup (the same as the Ford Ranger), can be 9 or 10 inches in size. This variation is not taken into account by Amazon when determining compatibility. Apparently I can return this even though I opened it and damaged a component by installing and removing it, but I had to reinstall old hardware, which was quite disappointing instead of getting brand-new rear brakes.Not only does Amazon's system not ask whether you want 9 or 10 inch brakes, but even the part descriptions themselves do not state which system they are compatible with. I don't believe I can justify overhauling my brakes simply to install hardware, but if I do, I'll need to do additional study to see which Carlson kit I'd require.This kit appealed to me because it was a terrific deal and included with the brake adjustment hardware. Typically, I only change the adjustment hardware when it is damaged. To minimize the possibility of making an additional trip to the shop, it was well worth the cost of this kit to spend a little bit more.

This was purchased for my 2001 Dodge Ram. It included everything I needed and fit well. Including the C-clips on the emergency brake lever. Self adjusters appear to be superior to stock. My purchase has met all of my expectations. Consider purchasing a drum brake installation kit for yourself. 20 dollars on Amazon. These springs are sturdy.
