Edge Products 30300 Comp for Dodge 24V 5.9L Review:

Good product that was shipped promptly. The appropriate comparison is for Dodge Ram Cummins 98.5-00. Edge Comp delivers significantly more top end power compared to my previous Superchips, which seemed to have greater low end torque. Pump tap and fuse power are easier to install and more reliable than the previous method (as I viewed on YouTube). I got a good power boost for my money.

Edge Products 15051 Evolution Programmer for Ford F-150 Review:

I bought an F150 4x4 Lariat brand new. I regret not buying the Edge 13 years ago. I've always been skeptical of the shifting because the Lariat has larger tires than the basic F150. At times, it seems strange. After I entered the precise tire size, The Edge significantly enhanced shifting. It is audible. Together with increased torque, the engine is likewise more responsive. Even though I only utilized the default setting, I'm still amazed. I'm not sure I'll ever utilize the "performance" setting because the truck's performance has significantly increased. The directions are clear and the install is straightforward. The right side edge of the provided dash mount needs to be slightly modified because it was too long, forcing the device to sit at an angle. I carefully ground the entire edge length down by about a quarter-inch using a grinder. Otherwise, installing it is easy and it looks excellent.

Superchips 3874 Flashpaq F5 Programmer Review:

Let me start by mentioning that the sole purpose of my initial purchase—37-inch tires and a 5.13 gear ratio—was to reset my speedometer.I meticulously followed the directions. Update the firmware using the computer, plug it into the Jeep, and then start the engine but don't START the car.My initial thoughts were as follows:The simplicity of use really amazed me. You may change the Jeep by simply clicking through the settings, and then drive away!To account for big tires and gears, I changed the unit's parameters. My fog lights are configured as daytime running lights. I could experiment with a dozen or so settings. This is a fantastic device! The 92 octane performance profile was next added. WHAT A PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE! Jeeps are sluggish. The mods made mine run more slowly. The engine was adjusted with a cold air intake, headers, and a full exhaust. It also aided. But this part brought everything together. It was easy to tell the difference: the pull is stronger, the torque is higher.I did, however, ask a few inquiries to their support staff as well. not a thing. Just a few queries. Bryan, a member of their support staff, was incredibly responsive, patiently addressed all of my inquiries, and provided clear, concise answers. I enjoy that.A few days later, I started experiencing some odd problems (unrelated to the superchips unit). When I plugged in my flashpaq and selected the error menu, a series of error codes that each explained the nature of the issue appeared. No more visiting the dealer to determine the issue! But really—what about the feature set, performance features, upgradeability, usability, and cost? Every cent is well spent.I purchased my Superchips Flashpaq at full price. My opinions are completely objective and mine alone.

Bully Dog - 40417 - GT Platinum Gas Diagnostic and Performance Tuner with 4-Preloaded Tunes Review:

A 2006 Chevy 1500HD SS with 140K miles has this fitted. Worked better than expected in towing mode and according to plan. With pure high performance mode, I did not see a significant power increase and only noticed a.6 mpg increase. Please remember that I already had free flow glass pack exhaust, real headers, and cold air. Although I had the transmission configured with shift kits, a converter, and additional clutches for towing, I did not enjoy the shifting in performance mode. My fuel economy increased from 6.5 to 10.1 mpg when I was towing a 30' travel trailer with stock shifting and maintaining a 75 mph speed. I would never have imagined making such a big jump because I don't want to drive 55. The transmission temperature also decreased from 205 to 195. Most hills do not even downshift if you preload on rolling hills at the bottom and don't wait until the cruise. There must be a negative. If there was a kit, I might make one to switch out the fuses with switches instead. There are 8 fuses that must be removed while reprogramming, and they are located inside and under the hood in awkward areas for my large hands.

Hypertech 32501 Max Energy Power Programmer Review:

Over the years, I've used Hypertech programmers on autos and have always been satisfied. I purchased this one primarily to modify the speedometer for my Silverado 4x4's 35" tires. Additionally, I changed the shift points so the transmission shifts at 300 rpms more than it would otherwise. What an improvement this was! The truck feels like it is in the appropriate gear because the transmission doesn't feel like it needs to downshift nearly as frequently. To prevent it from entering V4 mode, I also turned off active fuel management and stiffened the shifts and throttle response. Driving my truck now is a lot more enjoyable. Definitely worth the cost!

Superchips 1845 Flashpaq F5 Programmer Review:

My vehicle is a 2013 Ford F150 Raptor with the 6.2L engine, and I had a number of queries concerning this Superchips product that were exclusive to my truck but I was unable to find any clear answers; maybe this review will be helpful. The truck had a Superchips programmer used by the prior owner, but since the truck was a trade-in, I did not receive the programmer. I took the truck to the dealer to have it flashed back to stock so I could purchase this Programmer and start from scratch because at the time I had no idea what tuning level was on the truck. After driving the truck as-is for about a month. It was evidently weaker than the initial Superchips tuning level that was on the truck after I drove the dealer/stock tuning level for about a week. Highway speed passes that I used to be able to complete with ease became more difficult, and the truck's distinctive exhaust noise disappeared. The good: After obtaining the Flashpaq, I updated it right away in accordance with the directions. I connected it to the vehicle and followed the manual's instructions, which were incredibly generic given the variety of Fords that this is probably compatible with. The standard map and the Performance tune took longer than anticipated to download and upload because I turned the car on and off frequently, but in the end everything performed as promised. When I initially started the truck, I was relieved to hear the throaty exhaust noise again. The electricity came back after being taken for a break-in of around 10 miles; the vehicle was undoubtedly awakened. The negative: The manual provides numerous tuning settings with the warning that not all of them may be accessible for your car. Along with stock, the instructions specified 10 tweaking settings. I was surprised that there were just 3 tuning options available for the Raptor's 6.2L engine in addition to stock. 87 and 91 octane perform better. The touted "Extreme" song sounded amazing, but it wasn't readily available. The handbook also indicated a number of parameters you could modify from the Flashpaq's Info screen (which varies per model), but sadly none of them were workable on my truck. The Flashpaq ultimately turned out to be a $300 3-tune programmer and error code reader. In summary, even knowing what I do now, I would still purchase it. I didn't necessarily want to be inundated with options; instead, I was seeking for a straightforward solution that would just work. The Performance tuning that did come with the device works excellent, however I did end up with fewer options than I had hoped, therefore the 4 stars.

Edge Products 30301 24V Comp Module for Dodge 5.9L Review:

Good tuner; not too difficult to install; wouldn't put it on par with a viper, but it works fine. improved from 17.2 to 19.4 mpg. This is occurring at 65 to 68 mph on the freeway. 2001 dodge 2500. I'll start rolling some coal now. The only drawback is that I have to turn it off before I turn off the vehicle because, if I keep it on, the truck acts as though it won't start. I assume this has to do with timing. Happy with the edge overall.

Superchips 2845 Flashpaq F5 Tuner Review:

My 2014 Silverado started performing strangely when I installed 33" tyres with a slight raise, and the speedometer was out of calibration. The motivation behind this buy is this. After the simple installation, the truck operates better than ever. It appears as though the programmer awoke the truck. Driving is a whole other sensation. I rediscovered my passion for my truck as a result of it. There are numerous options and playable modes. My automobile seems to have a voice now and can actually communicate with me about its condition. This purchase is absolutely worthwhile.

SCT Performance - 5015P - Livewire TS+ Performance Tuner and Monitor - Ford Preloaded and Custom Tuning Review:

Due of the proximity of the company to me, I bought this. When I tried to update it the day it arrived using an older Windows laptop, the laptop refused to let the device (tuner) be found. I called tech support five minutes before it closed, and I spoke to someone who answered the phone till fifteen minutes later. He got me set up and prepared to tune my 2012 F350 with a 6.7-liter engine, which is currently unaltered. My truck wouldn't start after attempting to load the tuner because of an issue. Knowing that these things might happen when you tinker with things, I didn't freak out.I called tech support again the following morning, and after giving them some more information about my truck and tuner, they provided me a factory tune to put in the vehicle. This stock tune was successful, and the vehicle resumed. Then I was able to add the performance tune, and what a difference the truck made with just that. I still had all of the factory-installed emissions equipment, and after fiddling with it a little, I noticed that the truck had more life. Initially, I settled in and drove as usual, getting 15 mpg in the city. Now, with the same amount of driving, I'm getting 17.5 mpg; I haven't had a chance to check it on the interstate yet.I wouldn't think twice about recommending it or purchasing it again. They provided excellent customer service and were quick to respond.

Edge Products 15001 Evolution Programmer for Ford Powerstroke 7.3L Review:

Just at "level 1," I've seen a fantastic gain in power. I'll let you know later if I also experience the anticipated improvement in fuel economy. It's important to keep in mind that although I purchased this for my 2002 Ford Excursion, the dash pod that came with it is for a Ford F250/350 pickup truck. The correct dash pad may be purchased on the website, but I didn't think that was right, so on Saturday night I emailed Edge, and by Sunday night I received a reply asking for my shipping address so they could send me the right one for my Excursion! For nothing! THAT, my friends, is customer service!
