For the money, you would think they would address this before it leaves the factory or at the very least be checked for quality control. It works great and I could feel an increase in power. The throttle is also snappier, but in order to get one electrical connector to seat, I had to grind away the side of the throttle body where it mounts. However, besides employing the four-hole injectors, it is the only modification that really improves the performance of the Jeep 4.0 straight six. A Sprintex Supercharger upgrade would be the next step. Don't break the plastic cruise control cable end when removing it from the throttle body if you have a Jeep TJ with cruise control. They no longer manufacture the cable and they are all snapped up because, well, everyone breaks the cable end. Even used ones are difficult to locate.

This bracket is pretty interesting and quite practical. You have plenty of room for adjustment so that the throttle cable may move the carburetor butterflies fully. More crucially, it enables the TV cable to be properly adjusted for transmission. (By the way, T.V. does not stand for "television"!) Every product from Spectre has the same chrome coating. A chrome front bumper is more "smack you in the face" noticeable, but it's still good, if not spectacular. Most air filter configurations make it completely invisible, however if your filter housing has one, it will work just fine. It has a more appealing appearance than any existing carburetor's base plate.The reason for the four stars I gave it is because the metal it is stamped from is a little on the thin side in terms of thickness. Although it could have been thicker by at least one or two gauges, it will work in the majority of applications. As long as you're not one of the mechanics who adds a return spring to the pedal, making it so stiff you have to use both feet to fully depress it. If so, you'll need something more substantial than this. Soon, the carbs will also receive new base plates, throttle shafts, and shafts. With such a heavy return spring, all you are doing is prematurely wearing them out.Conclusion: It's a good product that has performed flawlessly on numerous custom cars I have seen and built over the years.

On my uninspired 6.0L LS, this worked perfectly. When I cracked the box open, Throttle Body was a piece of beauty. Since my engine is far from stock, don't expect this to be a simple bolt-on component. The majority of stock air intake systems will not fit it because of its larger than 4 inch throttle bore. High-quality and well-worth-the-money part.

After experiencing a lot of issues with my 1991 F250 5.8lt Windsor stalling and idling, I decided to buy this component. The Ford technicians were unable to identify the issue's root cause and recommended swapping out the throttle position sensor and throttle body.Although it appeared that the throttle body may be the issue, I initially got the throttle position sensor from Amazon, and that seemed to make a difference. Since these are difficult to get in Australia, I paid $350 for a used one from our neighborhood F series wrecker. Still, I suppose it could only have been as good as the one I already had. The only option left was to gamble on one of these. The fact that the bore size was 56mm instead of my prior one's 53mm bore worried me. I read reviews elsewhere that said it was possible to fix the whistling sound at the manifold caused by air cavitation from larger size bore bodies installed in Cobras and other vehicles by honing a taper into the lip of the manifold.This new one was exactly sized, and after a few adjustments made by the Ford technicians, she was once again running flawlessly.At speeds beyond 115 km/h, there is a very little whistle sound, which is not a problem for my purposes as a work truck.Thank you, Amazon, for organizing my cherished F'truck.
