The magnets on the guns are really powerful. Greater weights can be supported by it. You'll have to struggle mightily to separate the magnets if they come into contact with one another. simple to mount and operate In general, I don't keep guns in any particular locations. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating is because it should have installation instructions or rivets. Drilling out the old rivets and replacing them with new ones of the same type that don't need a backing washer would be the perfect installation method. I used a 1/2 inch bolt with a lock nut because the rivets I had wouldn't close all the way.

Although I have only used it once so far, I truly like it. It required some minimal tinkering to make the bungee cords that came with it usable. The ends of the bungee cord would immediately come off when tension was applied to it. I observed that the bungee cord was made to stay snapped to the end by using a little piece of wood as a shim. I removed that piece of wood, folded the bungee end by about 1/4", inserted it back into the plastic affluence, and snapped the end piece back together. Now the bungee ends function without having to be pulled off.

Unfortunately, the bottom detachable wires that would assist hold these racks tighter to my seat on my 2007 Chevy Silverado seats lack a place to attach them. However, it has a nice appearance and is simple to affix to the seat's top. The pouches are secured by Velcro, so perhaps the Velcro will hold up to the bumping of the guns during a road trip. Right now, it functions as it should.

For my truck, I created an overhead gun rack similar to those offered here on Amazon. a thick plastic cutting board, 1 inch square tubing, 3/4 inch ready rod, and nuts with washers for fastening and adjusting were used. All is good now that I painted it black. The holders are ideal in this situation. To help ensure the firearms stay put, I might add a bungee. They aren't visible from the outside, unlike many car gun racks. It cost about $85 to build, and I'm really delighted with it.

I bought this for my hardtop, four-door Jeep. I took my time figuring out what would fit in the confined front area of the jeep. After trying everything, I came to the conclusion that, for my purposes, it is best to flip the instructions upside down and position the rifle above the bar. The forward set of hangars are now worthless, but that wasn't really a concern. The gun rests comfortably between the steel bar's top and the roof. It is good because you can't see it unless you thrust your head through the vehicle window and peek up. As we use it for a bullpup 5.56 and it is relatively short, this setup might not be suitable for your weapon, however I doubt a long rifle would make a difference. While the rifle is in the rack, it can still have its magazine and other accessories attached. We used lock tight before tightening it up because it seems to be a well-built item. To allow direct contact with the roll cage on the bracket, we did reduce part of the foam covers on the roll bar. Comparable goods for the jeeps didn't meet our demands, but this one seems to be ideal with a little tweaking. I've had no problems using it to drive about for some time. would repurchase.
