My 2016 Ford Fusion has received numerous tire rotations and replacements at both the Ford dealership and Walmart. On my most recent trip to Walmart, I learned that the lugnuts could not be removed because the caps had swelled and prevented the use of lug wrenches. I attempted to take them off myself using the lug wrench that came with the car, but I was unable to get it to fit on the lugnuts. Realizing that I would be helpless in the event of a flat, I purchased a set of these.The capped lug nut is shown in the first image, followed by the actual all-steel lugnuts once the cap has been removed, and finally this item.The second image demonstrates how the deformed capped lugnuts prevent a wrench from fitting properly on them.The third image displays the spot where I had to use a small sledge hammer to drive on an impact socket in order to get it to seat.In order to remove the lugnuts, I had to use an extended cheater/breaker wrench bar, as my DeWalt electric impact could not provide enough torque, as shown in the fourth picture.Replace them immediately so you won't have to worry about them ever again, and you'll save yourself a lot of misery and pain.You can chuck away all the previous ones because they seem to be quite well-made and fit the identical socket that came with your automobile.I hope this is useful and prevents you from having my issue!

The ones that were installed when my husband got bigger tires and wheels were rubbish, so I bought these for his F-250 Super Duty Crew. When we received the box, he was astounded because it was so heavy for such a small box. He was so pleased with the appearance and build quality that the moment he got the chance, he had them installed on his truck. For my f-250 super duty crew, he urged that I place an order for a set. He stole my truck, and he also had them mounted. He was so excited, but I can't even see them because they are lug nuts. Ha! The key on these lug nuts is around 22mm in diameter, making them the narrowest diameter lug nuts I could discover. Muteki "tuner hex lug nuts" were also quite tiny, but the key was about 25mm in diameter and wouldn't fit in XXR rims, which only have a 24.3mm aperture. The diameter of the lug nuts is not crucial. Almost any "tuner" lug nut will fit in any rim, but the key needed to tighten them may not fit in small apertures, such as XXR rims. This is why the diameter of the key is important. They did fit my Vossen rims, and although I didn't measure the actual size of the lug holes, I would estimate that they were between 26 and 27 millimeters due to the 1 to 2 millimeters of additional room I had around the Muteki key, which was 1 millimeter too big to go in the XXR lug holes. These lug nuts have a smaller diameter but appear to be just as durable as Muteki. To stop the spline drive key from scratching the interior of the lug holes, it should be coated in teflon tape or another type of tape. Additionally, watch out for the key bottoming down at the point where the hex collar shoulder meets the rim. My XXR rims were chipped in three places because the tire shop where I had my tires put didn't pay attention, but that wouldn't have happened if they had kept the sharp hex collar/shoulder of the key 1/8" away from the rim.

I'm still on the fence about installing them all, just to be careful. I drove for a week after replacing (1) on each wheel and torqueing it to specification. I double-checked the torque and found that it was still good, so I replaced a second one on each wheel. I also read a review from someone who apparently received a faulty batch (they were threaded wrong). I checked them all, and they all appear to be in good shape. They'll all be installed soon, and I think everything will work out perfectly.

These were bought to go on my 1997 K1500. I decided to go with some older GM rims because I thought they wouldn't stand out too much. Thanks for carrying this product; it looks great. Furthermore, the steel is solid plus anodized and not "capped." I'm hoping that living in the Midwest won't make these degrade. However, they are inexpensive enough that even if they do, I wouldn't care. Besides. Automobile lug nuts are consumable parts.

These lug nuts are for the larger premium rims on my black 2012 Ford Fusion Sport model. On the black car, they look fantastic! FIT THEM OR NOT? Yes, these appear to fit well, however the standard (cheap) lug nuts and these New ones have a substantial size difference. The new ones appear to have just enough taper; I had assumed a return would occur. When contrasted to the new, the original lug nuts' taper is seen (photo).They fit perfectly, and I was able to torque them to perfection. Although I won't know for at least a season or two, they seem to be durable.The new lug nuts were installed using the same socket (3/4 or 19mm) as the original (swolen, readily strippable) lug nuts.
If you have aftermarket wheels, you may need special lug nuts to fit them. The lug nuts that come with your car may not work with aftermarket wheels. You can usually find special lug nuts at the same place you bought your wheels.
