However, I soon realized it was AC current at 24 volts, and after doing a little research on AC current, I learned that it is irrelevant which way the cables are connected. I therefore installed the solenoid, and the humidifier is now in great working order. The humidistat switch activates the solenoid when the humidity setting is exceeded, which causes the water to start flowing. The water stops flowing if the switch is lowered. When the furnace is off or the humidity is high, there is no longer any water dripping. This tiny treasure prevented me from spending several hundred dollars on a professional repair.

When I was able to remove the power head, I discovered that the ball on the motorized arm was no longer being pressed into the seat because the rod holding it had rusted through. I put the replacement pieces in place of the parts I took out of the original valve. In the end, I repaired the old valve using the new valve.I could have easily bought the "Honeywell 40003918-006 Zone Valve Power Head Conversion Kit" if I had realized the issue beforehand. However, this component is put on a business-related device, and downtime is costly.

I'm sick of fumbling around in my kitchen sink to get a little to medium flow of water to stream on. Currently, every time I try to use a Moen faucet, it likes to turn on at full blast. One of those with a single handle. In order to get a moderate stream, I have to experiment with it. Every time I turn it on, I frequently use a lot more water than I intend to.
