Note: I made the mistake of setting the compressor upside down on a concrete floor when I pulled out the air line, which is why there are scratches on the top of the compressor in the attached photo and video.This VacLife compressor is fantastic. When I took it out of the package, the first thing I noticed was how sturdy and well-made it felt.Instead of attempting to connect the power line to my car, I used an AC converter. Compared to my Wagan 3-IN-1, this FORTEM is faster, quieter, and has more features. One of these FORTEMs is for my Corolla, and the other is for my wife's Camry. I got two of these. On the Camry tires, we put both Fortems to the test. A Fortem inflated two tires at once. Therefore, we filled all 4 tires. We connected the Fortem to the vehicle's 12V outlet while the engine was running. The FORTEM said that the tire pressure was 36 psi right now. Therefore, we instructed the FORTEM to raise the tire pressure to 41 psi by pushing the plus sign. NOTE! You MUST wait until the display stops blinking after you've set the tire pressure to the desired psi before turning on the compressor switch. The directions don't include this information. The compressor won't turn on if you try to turn on the switch while the display is still blinking. We turned on the FORTEM compressor switch when the display stopped blinking and observed as the tire pressure rose by 0.5 psi until it reached 41 psi. The compressor continued for a few more seconds after reaching 41 psi on the FORTEM display before automatically shutting off. My Wagan would take at least two or three minutes to complete the same task, thus I was astonished that the FORTEM only took approximately a minute. The FORTEM moved much more quickly and quietly than my Wagan. The Wagan lacks the FORTEM's digital display and auto shutoff, among other features. Additionally, the FORTEM's digital display is much simpler to read than my Wagan's analog needle. I am quite pleased with the FORTEM so far; it is far better than the Wagan. I cannot yet evaluate how long this device will last, but the great guarantee and the helpful customer support mentioned in the reviews prompted me to buy it. I'll update my review if anything changes with regard to this product.

I purposefully chose this pump since it can be powered by both AC and DC power. I require it for everything, even inflating enormous truck tires, bicycle tires, beach balls, and air beds. I am aware that a DC pump cannot fill an 80 psi truck tire without burning out. This worked incredibly well on the bike tires I used it on. If this does not stand up to the challenge when I use it on truck tires, I will provide an addendum. Expect to use an extension cord because the AC cord is so short. The DC cord works well. As long as the tire stem has about.5 inches of exposed stem, the air fill attachment screws onto the tire stem without difficulty. As you take out the fill tube, a little air is lost. The device is small and has no frills. You watch the pressure gauge as you fill it and turn it off once you reach the appropriate pressure because it will indicate the pressure of the object to which it is attached and seems to be sufficiently accurate. It has a carrying handle and a good-quality canvas cover to keep out moisture and dust. Easily kept in a garage, trunk, or underneath a sink. If used lightly, you want this to last ten years. I am unable to comment on longevity or toughness.

Although I recently purchased an EPAuto 12V DC Portable Air Compressor Pump, Digital Tire Inflator by 100 PSI to keep in my car, I much prefer to utilize a stationary compressor when I'm at home to fill my car tires. But switching back and forth between an air chuck and a tire gauge can be tiresome, and my old air chuck wouldn't fit through the hubcaps on my new Prius. The best answer is this tire inflator, which even has a fitting that connects to my air hose already in place.I utilized the accompanying 1/4" NPT quick-connect fitting (a 1/2" fitting is also included) and sealed it with the Teflon tape to fit my air hose. Additionally, I utilized the substantial amount of Teflon tape that was supplied on the threads of the inflator chuck. This includes a screw-on chuck, a valve core remover/installer, and two additional valve cores, which I haven't yet utilized. It also includes four spare valve caps, one of which I've already used after losing another.The pressure is displayed on the gauge as the chuck simply hooks onto the valve stem with very no air loss. Simply depress the gauge's lever to adjust the pressure. Use the pressure release button on the rear of the gauge stem to release some air if you go just a little over. Release the valve stem as soon as the pressure is appropriate, then swiftly remove it. For vehicle tires, it should be possible to reduce air loss to no more than one or two tenths of a pound with some practice; but, due to their greater pressure and smaller volume, bicycle tires would pose more of a challenge.The fact that the gauge's plastic face was unprotected and had minor scratches is a very minor complaint.
You can usually leave air in an air compressor tank for a long time, but it will eventually go bad. The air will start to smell and taste funny, and it will be less effective at inflating things. If you use your air compressor regularly, it's best to empty the tank after each use.
