There's no definitive answer, as the legality of brick mailboxes in Texas likely depends on the city or county in which you live. However, it's generally advisable to check with your local post office or municipality before installing a brick mailbox, as you could be subject to a fine if it's not up to code.
There are no statewide laws in Texas regarding stone mailboxes. However, some local ordinances may prohibit or regulate their construction or installation. Homeowners should check with their city or county planning and zoning department before installing a stone mailbox.
Yes, you can have a wall-mounted mailbox. You will need to purchase a wall-mounting kit, which typically includes the mailbox, mounting brackets, and screws. Most wall-mounted mailboxes are made of metal or plastic, and some come with a lock to keep your mail safe.
The answer is no. The post office cannot force you to move your mailbox. However, they can request that you move it for safety or other reasons.

I'm really happy I obtained this. was simple to work with when hanging onto my house's vinyl sidings. For some strange reason, mailboxes are outrageously pricey. So far, this is really functioning well. There is no flag attached to it. I purchased this flag to complement it;Amazon.com/dp/B00IS87EDC/ref=cm cr ryp prd ttl sol 51 Heavy Duty Steel Mailbox Replacement Flag KitThe flag was probably not necessary, but it wouldn't feel right without it.It should be a pleasant little project with satisfying results as long as you have the proper tools. When I have time, I'll publish a photo.cheers

This mailbox lock complies with and goes beyond USPS-L-1172C specifications.I've used it for more than a month, and it functions without a hitch. It is advised that you insert and remove the key and turn the lock with the key while seated at a desk to ensure seamless operation. This is what I did, and my cluster mailbox is completely functional now.National Mailbox Lock New Style C9100 by CompX USPS-L-1172C (Lock with 3-Keys)

I bought this to replace a rusted-out mailbox that had a similar appearance to this one. I noticed significant variations between the shipment and my rusted-out mailbox as soon as I opened it. First off, my old mailbox was flush with the wall, however new product leaves roughly 1 centimeter of space between the wall and the mailbox due to the way the sheet metal is cut. The disadvantage of this is that the gap can be seen when opening the mailbox's lid, and I've already had a mailman unintentionally drop a letter in the space between the mailbox's back and the wall. The letter that slipped into the space was challenging to extract. In addition, the old mailbox I had had a big hinge across its entire width that held the lid to the base. Only one rivet is used on each side of the lid to secure it to the model. My worry is that eventually at least one rivet will give out or rust, allowing the lid to simply come off. Time will only tell.

If you follow the directions, installation is simple. Needed but not included: 3 screws. All you need to do is lengthen two screws on the wall by approximately an inch and place them three and a half inches apart. Using these two screws, mount the mailbox. To secure it and prevent it from coming off the wall, mark the center hole for the third screw and insert a screw into it. Do not overtighten; instead, tighten all screws until they JUST contact the metal. The sides will be flat with the wall, but the rear won't be. As others have advised, there is no need to include wood or anything else. I'm done now. Easy as pie. Regarding the quality, I consider it to be excellent. The lids of some other mailboxes I saw at Lowe's for twice the price were lightweight and appeared to bend easily. This lid is quite strong and seems to hold up well. Yes, it's small, but if that's the size you're looking for, I believe you'll be happy with it.

Our old mailbox needed replacing after 45 years of being used by morons to help themselves up the final step into the house. It had snapped away from its mounting bolts and broken into pieces. This one appealed to me because it was "vertical" as opposed to "horizontal" and had a similar inside volume to our former mailbox. It was significantly lighter than our old mailbox when it arrived, which was wonderful. It was impossible for me to install it alone because of the difficult brick I needed to drill into, but it is not the mailbox's fault. I had to hire two guys who used four hands, power tools, and a lot of body weight to drill into the brick. The hardware was included in the box, and I assume most wall surfaces make installation quite simple.

This mailbox appears to be quite reliable thus far. 4 screws are used to secure it, and the rubber stoppers provide the impression that it will keep water out. If it doesn't, I'll update the review. My only significant problem was getting the lid to open after tightening the top two screws. Since the rubber seal on the mailbox isn't perfect, I had to loosen them up in order for the lid to open, which could expose the mailbox to water.

This lockable drop box is made of thin metal, as mentioned by previous reviewers, and features a hinged lid that, when lifted, reveals a locked cover with a slot for mail or other goods. It is unobtrusive, probably will protect the contents from rain, is simple to open, and is simple to check, which are all reasons why I appreciate it. But I ran into several problems with it.The mounting of the dropbox did not appeal to me at all. The dropbox back touches a wall first because of the way it was built; there are ridges all the way around it. Two partially driven screws into the backing secure the box to it. The drop box is lowered by 1/4 inch using two long screw holes that are pressed over the heads of the two screws. Although these screws can be tightened, doing so would cause the box to deform. To prevent a thief from simply pulling the box off the two support screws and fleeing, a third screw is inserted through the center of the rear. The mounting is practical despite being poorly conceived.Of course, the construction quality and locking mechanism are at best average. This low-cost drop box has a lot of features. Although I've only been using it for a few weeks, it already seems to be doing a great job!

The material did not specify whether or not this item came with the required screws at the time I bought it. It's a little challenging and tight because the screws have to be tightened from the inside. To simply get the right size, I ultimately had to make two journeys to the store. I've been using it for a few months and have discovered that it looks simple and functionally excellent.

After looking at a few minimalist mailboxes on Etsy, I decided to purchase this one because it was at least half the price and seemed to be really excellent. I was taken aback by how great it truly is when it arrives: deep, matte black with a strong feel. I haven't yet attached it to the house because it appears that others were able to navigate the two lower screw holes. There was a newspaper holder included, but no hardware. It felt a little more difficult to attach than it should have (the bottom two holes I found unreachable with a regular drill). I would have given five stars if it had hardware and not been for this.
Yes, you can have two mailboxes at one address. You would need to get a second mailbox from your local post office or mail carrier.

These brackets have a strong adhesive that will hold the mailbox in place without the need for screws or nails. Another way is to use magnetic mailbox brackets.
