Ridgid Standard Wet/dry Vac Filter Vf4000 (White, 1) (Original Version) Review:

These are so good, I should just have them delivered automatically! The reusable wet/dry version sounds great, but this is more affordable, and I'm really not interested in trying to clean a weird filter after it has sucked up dirt and debris.Depending on the type of material you're vacuuming, these function nicely. The pleats often become clogged with large chunks, and the air vent thingy often lets off fine dust. It works well if you're vacuuming gravel, grit, and other debris. They are really simple to install. Mine isn't a shop vac; it's another kind that has a filter of this size. There is a thumb screw keeping it on; simply unscrew it (extra points if you can do it with your fingernails), remove the old cartridge over a trash can, then slide this cartridge onto the spindle and tighten the thumb screw. Easy. Picking up the vac motor section to attach this is the only challenging part because it weights a ton! The filter, though, is simple enough to use. Before turning on the filter and cleaning the entire unit, I empty out anything is hiding in the collection bin. I make an effort to prevent as much debris and dust from returning to the residence. This could persist for weeks or months depending on how frequently you use your vacuum. When I received this, my previous one was around a year old and was in fairly bad shape. It had seen a lot of grime, grit, and sanding dust (like from plaster). This filter could last a lot longer because the bulk of the difficult building is finished.Definitely a good deal, and I'm so relieved that it can be delivered and I won't need to visit the hardware shop!

Shop-Vac 90585 Foam wyVZA Sleeve, Foam Sleeve (1) Review:

Since it split when they tried to jam it on, several individuals are stating that it is either too small or poorly built. In reality, IF YOU DON'T REMOVE THE PAPER FILTER FIRST, THIS DOES HAPPEN.So, let's give it some thought. This foam filter is designed to be used while cleaning up moist materials. mostly water Would you like to put some water through a paper filter? Of course not, never. However, if you place a foam filter over the paper filter, you are essentially doing the same thing, but the foam filter is used first.Eliminate the paper filter. In addition to the fact that these foam filters are intended to glide on over the suction cage rather than the cumbersome paper filter, water damages them and you will have to pay to replace them.Other than that, these things are amazing and last a long time, if not forever. You might try using it, rinsing it off, and allowing it to completely dry. Word.

I have supplied images of the correct shape and the correct quantity that arrived. They are also the right shape for my model. Make sure you are purchasing the appropriate shape because these machines come in two distinct shapes. One is shaped more like an oval, while the other is circular. The ones in this picture have a flatter edge and a more circular form. One flat edge

Fette Filter Combo Pack Vacuum Filters | Contains1 HEPA Post Filter &1 Pre-Filter Compatible with Dyson DC41, DC65, DC66 Vacuum Cleaners, Compare to Part #920769-01 & #920640-01 Review:

My mother gave me her purple Dyson DC65 Animal Ball vacuum cleaner, which she was planning to discard because, despite her best efforts to repeatedly clean her old filters, the vacuum constantly reeked of wet dog (she has a German Shepherd). While the stench didn't completely go away at first after I bought a set of these filters to replace the originals, I also didn't bother completely disassembling the vacuum to clean all the hoses and cracks. Fast forward to today, several months later, and my vacuum started overheating and turning off. I took it apart to look for a clog and cleaned every nook and cranny along the way, but I never discovered one. The awful filters needed to be cleaned. I'm purchasing an additional set of these so that I can replace set #1 with set #2, clean set #1, and allow it to dry for THREE MONTHS before I need to replace the filters once more and clean set #2. I'm hoping that by doing this, I can make sure that I never experience my mother's wet dog smell issue. These filters are competitively priced, which is the only reason I can afford it. And for those reasons, I gave it five stars: Well, the filter that goes into the ball installed a bit wonky for me; no amount of adjusting would solve it, but it hasn't ever been a problem. Secondly, the filters are actually reasonably priced. Without investing the price of a new vacuum, I can buy two sets of them, plus I now have increased functionality (i.e. I can wait 3 months before installing the washed filters). After I clean and replace my next filter, I'll try to remember to update.

Craftsman & Ridgid Replacement Filter by Kopach, 1 Pack, Original Filter Review:

My vacuum employs rigid filters from the VF4000-series and is a 6-gallon Husky (a Home Depot house brand).I made the decision to test out this Kopach filter. You can see in the first image how the filter end cap of the vacuum matched the original filter. The end cap is in the "Normal" position in the second image, which displays the new Kopach filter installed. The Kopach filter, as you can see, is shorter than the stock filter and does not seal in this manner.I turned the end cap around in the third image and slightly compressed the end of the new filter to make it fit inside the end cap. This arrangement works well and fits nicely.About 20% less money is spent on the Kopach filter than on the VF4000 filter. I'm hoping it will hold up just as well.

Super air Vacuum Cartridge Filter fits for Craftsman 17816 Review:

These filters fit my two vintage Craftsman work vacs wonderfully. I didn't need to use the threaded nut to fasten them because they are very snug. Since I just bought them both, I haven't tried washing them, but they're supposed to be. The Craftsman brand filters used to be able to be washed, but that hasn't been possible in years. Being able to wash, air dry, and reuse these replacements is very advantageous given the cost of doing so.

Multi-Fit Wet Vac Filters VF2001 Foam Sleeve/Foam Filter For Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner (Single Wet Vac Filter Foam Sleeve) Fits Most Shop-Vac, Vacmaster & Genie Shop Vacuum Cleaners Review:

My tiny Stinger vacuum, a 2.5 gallon, 1.75-Peak HP, wet/dry vacuum, uses this foam sleeve filter. Although I also use these foam sleeve filters for dry pick-up in addition to wet pick-up, they are the same filters. They endure significantly longer than the conventional thin cloth and/or paper filters that come with either a holding clamp or an elasticized band and provide a tight seal to stop dry dirt and debris from blowing out the vacuum vent. These foam filters make an extremely tight fit, and as the foam is only 12" thick, I have to very carefully tug it up when I need to replace it. Otherwise, the foam sleeve will be completely destroyed by my fingers. When I remove the foam sleeve to shake it out, brush it down, or vacuum the debris off, it does get a little bit easier to put back in place after around 4-6 days.Despite the fact that I enjoy my job, it is rather messy, and I use my stinger vacuum frequently throughout the day. I therefore need a filter that is somewhat durable and won't degrade as quickly as cloth filters. In contrast to cloth filters, I can wash these filters and reuse them if they get too dirty or are heavily coated in dust and debris. It only takes a minute with dish soap and water, and as the foam is a thin and light fabric, it dries extremely quickly. They are then completely dry and work just as well as new after a few minutes in our clothes dryer. These foam filters last me between 6 and 7 months before they begin to develop holes and start ripping apart since I handle the thin foam fabric gently and with little care. They can also be replaced twice a year for a lot less money than paper or cloth ones, which need to be changed at least once a week.

Do dust filters restrict airflow?

Do I need a HEPA filter on my vacuum?

If you have allergies or asthma, you may want to consider a vacuum with a HEPA filter. HEPA stands for high efficiency particulate air and these filters can remove small particles from the air, including dust, pollen, and pet dander.

Do you need a dust separator with a dust collector?

Most woodworkers will tell you that a dust separator is a must-have item if you're running a dust collector. A dust separator keeps the larger pieces of wood chips and dust from clogging up the dust collector filter, which makes the collector work more efficiently and prevents the filter from getting prematurely clogged.

How do I know if my filter needs to be changed?

Rinse the filter well and allow it to air dry completely before putting it back in the vacuum.
