BUMBLE BEE Premium Light Tuna in Water, Ready to Eat Tuna Fish, High Protein Food, 2.5 Ounce Pouch (Pack of 12) Review:

EDIT: for a QUICK INEXPENSIVE PROTEIN-PACKED MEAL, I mix one of these packets with the KRAFT WHITE CHEDDAR BOWLS. REALLY FAST and EASY and helps me get more protein in my day (while also TASTING GREAT)! If you work in an office and don't have much time or money, keeping these packets and Kraft bowls in your desk will save you bucks, time and better than vending machine fare.

PROS:
GREAT TASTE - Fresh and I love it's packed in water. The expiration date was about two years out, so that was really good.

NICE SIZE for the money - Just enough for a sandwich or to add to my mac and cheese.

PACKAGING - I NO LONGER get canned tuna. I think the kind in packets tastes much better and fresher.

CONVENIENT - I no longer drive and so just take a taxi shopping a couple times a month, so Prime delivery is great AND it's the same price, or LESS, than I get at the store.

NO CONS - if anything changes, I will update.

StarKist Chunk Light Tuna in Water, 5 Ounce (Pack of 8) Review:

Great tuna. I like always having tuna made and ready for that quick delicious sandwich or snack. I make a large can mix in mayo, some mustard, crushed green olives with the red things in it, some parsley flakes. If I use the tuna with water, I add a little olive oil to it. Then when ready, I can make a great salad or sandwich with tuna. Don’t forget the provolone or Swiss cheese and lettuce and tomato with your toasted bread.

BUMBLE BEE Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore Tuna Fish in Water, 5 Ounce Can (Pack of 4), Wild Caught Tuna, Canned Tuna, High Protein, Keto Food, Keto Snack, Gluten Free, Paleo Food, Low Carb Snacks Review:

I used to have a love/hate relationship with tuna. The Chunk Light variety that is the most commonly advertised at a nice low price (and that your parents always bought) was decent, but I had a hard time finishing a sandwich because the fishy taste would finally exceeded my love of the tuna flavor.

As with most products, manufacturers have cut back the amount of actual tuna in a can of tuna and are packing it more loosely to disguise the loss of meat. However, eventually it becomes impossible to ignore this secret price hike technique. After squeezing the water out of the can (even of brand name tuna), I was finding that there was just 3/8 of an inch or thereabouts of tuna left, and instead of being "chunk"-y, it mostly resembled anchovy paste. Even the best brand Chunk Light tuna is starting to resemble mechanically-separated goo.

As a contrast, though, a can of even the cheapest brand of Albacore tuna is a can full of firm meaty chunks. The price of the cheap Chunk Light junk hovers in the 60 cent range when on sale, but most Albacore will cost you $1.50 (US) to over $2.00 at the grocery store for the same 6-ish ounce can. Open a can of a good brand and after draining it you will still have a can full of tuna Open a can of a great brand like this Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore and you will never complain about the price difference again.

And the taste, oh the taste! This is the most un-fishy tasting tuna that I've ever eaten. All that I can taste is pure tuna flavor. No fishiness, no oiliness, no cannery waste aftertaste. This is tuna for people who actually love tuna. Period. Don't hate your parents for serving the other stuff. It was good food once upon a time. Try a can of this if your love of tuna has waned, or if you don't like tuna at all. You will be pleasantly surprised.

BUMBLE BEE Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water, Low Sodium, Canned Tuna Fish, High Protein Food, 5 Ounce Can (Pack of 12) Review:

Actually is low sodium, unlike other 'low sodium' products. My husband is supposed to have lots of fish, but also has to stay super-low-sodium to keep him off of blood pressure meds. It's working, but very challenging to find food he can eat, especially fish, which tends to be high in sodium. This has been a lifesaver, as he can make his own sandwiches and salads easily and get protein and the benefits of fish without going over his very, very low sodium quota. It's more expensive than regular tuna, which is a bit disappointing, but since I have no alternatives, I'm glad I can get this. I'll buy a lot more if the price ever goes down.

BUMBLE BEE Solid White Albacore Tuna in Water, Canned Tuna Fish, High Protein Food, 5 Ounce Can (Pack of 24) Review:

This is a really nice tuna and there is a lot in this sized can. I made it into a tuna casserole with Alfredo pasta and diced veggies, and it was very tasty without being too salty.

The tuna was as stated, being all white meat, although it was quite crumbly and not exactly "solid" - but that didn't affect the recipe or the taste :)

We got enough from the one can for 4 good sized servings, and it was enjoyed by all. I am very happy with this Bumble Bee tuna and wouldn't hesitate to make it a staple in my pantry!
