For the price, a woven nylon material would have been preferable, but this generic cover is of good quality and has a soft interior instead. There are drain holes for humidity and other purposes, and the closing is of the Velcro variety. Nice design for my folding blue ox bar (I think it's an Aventa; I remember that it has a 10k pound rating.) It becomes less noticeable behind the RV or truck and is shielded from harm and the elements.Its complete lack of branding is appealing. There are no outward manufacturer markings.

We got the Trail-Gator a few years ago, but I didn't write a review until I stumbled over it again and saw that there weren't many bad reviews.I have to admit that initially there were a few problems, and regrettably we had to learn the optimum mounting technique by trial and error rather than depending on the provided paperwork. I believe the manufacturer could do better in this area.By wrapping a layer or two of rubber strips cut from old tire tubes around the head tube of the child's bicycle on both the bracket and the screw side, and making sure the screws are extremely tight, I think most mounting issues may be resolved.In the end, this worked out really well for us, and both my child and I are extremely content with the purchase. We feel much more secure planning longer adventures now that we can always attach my child's 16" single speed bike and convert it into a tandem if the hills or the distance prove too much for it.Be prepared to spend some time figuring out how to fit it properly if you decide this is a nice product for you to buy.There won't be much use for the documentation. It's not "rocket science," but unless something has changed, it doesn't come with detailed instructions like those found at IKEA.You can modify the height of the front wheel of the attached bike using the bracket's various inserts. This should therefore accommodate a variety of various parent and kid bike geometries and sizes.Also, remember to go slowly the first few times until you are certain that the mounting bracket is fixed to your child's bike securely and won't slide.

This was actually more than this bar could safely support, but it was an emergency tow, so we hoped for the best.
