These seem to be replacement parts for Victor. My old Victor O2 regulator's o-rings were finally worn out, and as soon as I cracked the tank valve open, it began seeping out of the vent holes. You most likely already know what I'm talking about if you're reading this review. In order to put it in a vice and begin disassembling it, I took it out of the tank and pulled the gages off. Here is the sequence of events as there are no instructions included with this kit. Writing this down took me a lot longer than rebuilding my regulator itself.1. Take the tank's regulator out.2. Disconnect the regulator's torch hose.3. Take the regulator's LP and HP gages out. They probably need to be cleaned up or changed anyhow, so it's simpler.4. Slightly tighten the vise clamp on the regulator's back to hold it in place. Avoid squishy your regulator!5. Back out and take off the T-handle adjustment screw from the regulator's front.6. Use matchsticks to mark the regulator's rear and front halves so you'll know where to tighten the face during reassembly. Any sharpie will do.7. To remove the front of the regulator, use a 2-inch 6-point socket, 2-inch, and a tiny impact gun; a pipe wrench would also work but will eat up the brass. A crescent wrench that will open that wide is not one I have. Instead than just pulling straight with a wrench, the gun's impacting motion is far more helpful.8. Remove the regulator body's face or cover. From this point on, be cautious for any loose pieces because the coil spring might accompany it.9. Turn the cover over and clean it of any debris. It can be cleaned with soap and water, but not with any hydrocarbons or oils. No grease, oil, or brake cleaner, please! In an environment with only oxygen, that won't go well!10. Photograph the spring cup, coil spring, diaphragm, valve, valve seat, and other components in their proper alignment. Basically, every time a part is removed, take a picture of it. There is only one correct way to put things back together, although there are numerous incorrect methods.11. Use compressed air to clean the regulator once it has been disassembled. Again, do not use any oil, grease, or other hydrocarbons when washing with soap and water.12. Make sure the old clear valve seat is removed before installing the new one in the regulator body.13. Fit the valve stem into the regulator body after attaching the fresh white split ring to the valve stem.14. Attach the cup with the new diaphragm. For information on these parts' proper orientation, consult your photographs.15. Place the replacement body o-ring in the groove. It would be tempting to add some grease to keep it in place, but doing so could be fatal. Not from me.16. Attach the regulator body with the diaphragm. Make sure you don't have any "excess" new or used parts right now. It's time to check through your photos again if you do.17. Attach the cup and coil spring to the diaphragm.18. Carefully reattach the regulator face to the body. Once you notice the initial threads separating from one another, slowly rotate it to the left (yep, to the left). Without having to cross-thread it, you may then turn it to the right.19. As much as you can, hand-tighten the face. The tools should have between a quarter and a half of a turn left to complete the turn. Tighten with the tools until the match marks align once more. Avoid overtightening the brass threads because if they are damaged, you will require a brand-new regulator.20. Apply Teflon tape to the threads before reinstalling the pressure gages.Install the T-handle in step 21. When it comes in contact with the diaphragm, you will notice an increase in resistance. Then stop turning it.22. Connect the torch hose after installing the regulator on the tank. Teflon tape shouldn't be required for these connections.23. Turn the tank valve just a quarter turn, or enough to let you know it is open. Allow the GO pressure to rise and then stabilize at tank pressure. then carefully close the tank valve. Unless you have leaks, the pressure gauge should read the same.Spray Windex or soapy water on the regulator to check for leaks. Where the issues are will be indicated by the bubbles.25. After repairing any leaks on the HP or tank side, turn the tank valve back up 1/4 turn. Once you notice that the pressure on the LP gauge has reached 20 psi, start turning the T-handle clockwise in 1/2 turn steps. To make sure that the torch is receiving O2 once more, repeatedly press the torch oxygen key.Turn off the tank valve in step 26. After taking note of the pressure reading, give everything at least 10 minutes to settle. You're good if the reading stays the same. If it falls, track down the leaks and seal them. It should not increase.27. Write down the LP and HP gage readings at the conclusion of the day. The following morning, check the gage readings by closing the tank valve. You are good to go if they are both the same. You need to locate and remedy a leak or four if one or both of them are lower the next day. Leaks of oxygen and acetylene are ALWAYS worth locating and repairing.

We only encountered a problem because our portable torch set requires the little oxygen and acetylene bottles. The little bottles CANNOT fit in this set. It is designed to fit the bigger bottles. I spoke with customer support and suggested that they change the product's description to clarify that it is NOT for the little bottles. They were quite friendly and promptly attended to my requests for a return and reimbursement. If we had used the larger oxygen and acetylene bottles, the torch equipment would have been retained for sure. The gauges and other accessories appeared to be of good quality, and the package it came in was very durable. Value for the money was excellent. I'd definitely make another purchase from this seller.

Excellent set of torches for brazing copper refrigerant lines or other comparable materials. Since this kit is less expensive and does not come with the cutting head, it is a nice thing if you are an HVAC technician like myself.There isn't much else to add; this brand is present on the majority of trucks, and it melts metal.

The folks were prepared to tell me I'm out of luck when I went to get the tanks filled, but they were startled to learn that these tanks are DOT certified and were good to swap... It's a great build, and most importantly... The two tanks...Unfortunately, instead of my wonderful brand-new tank that I had just received, the welding gas company gave me some janky, ugly swap tank.

This torches is identical to an acetelyne torch, only smaller. It welds and cuts things (for a few minutes). 4 stars because the goggles were simply thrown loose in the box and scuffed upon delivery and because a torch kit ought to include a wire/file tool for the cutter head. I don't care because cool guys don't wear googles (no, really, I wear my welding helmet), but it would be quite annoying if you had to use the included goggles because you didn't have anything else to wear. NOT the fault of the seller. The Victor box, which was brand-new from the factory, held everything together and sealed everything. Victor is to fault for not even wrapping the goggles in paper while the rest of the package was so tightly shrink-wrapped that it took about 20 minutes to open everything. The plastic tank carrier is also sort of lame, but you can construct a nicer one by purchasing some sheet metal, tig rods, and a torch.

Everything in this beautiful torch set works perfectly. The only thing to be aware of is how short the supplied hoses are. It's just a matter of time until you have to replace them or tie in another length because being attached so closely to your tanks makes it difficult to move when you need to. I didn't understand that until I prepared to heat up a part on my excavator for the first time and had to be careful not to tip my tanks. If you're setting up one of those little carriers and specific setups, or even for others, just get another length of hoses, I think this is a terrific set.

working as an HVAC specialist, I got a much less expensive torch from Amazon before buying this one. a torch with the Hotmax logo. A few weeks later, my boss's torch transforms into a little flame thrower, which is deemed too unstable for use at work. So, carrying my hotmax, I dash to the rescue. It completed the job, however I was warned that I should have gotten a turbo torch because the copper was not heated up quickly enough. and I did. Consider a turbo torch to save yourself the time and effort. I've tested this torch in my garage with sil fois and copper fittings, and it works well. The self-igniting tip sometimes fails to ignite, instead emitting a popping sound and a bolt of flame. However, user mistake may be to blame for this. A wonderful little portable setup aside from that!
