This works well for labeling everything from textiles to garments. I bought it since the starter set has everything you need. I received more more plastic barbs with the tag labeler than I would likely ever need. I can now take any label or piece of paper, insert it through the labeler's needle, use the needle to puncture nearly any material, pull the trigger, and the label or paper is immediately fastened to the article of clothing I'm labeling. The labeler has a strong feel to it. The plastic barbs are available on Amazon in practically any color if necessary.

I adore this item! I usually use it when I engage in consignment sales for the used clothing of my children, but I also use it when I prematurely remove the tags from new items and then find myself having to return it. After a while, I had to load fresh taggers and replace the needle, and I was unable to do so on my own. After looking up numerous videos on YouTube for "how to change a needle on a tagging gun," I was able to fix it in under a minute. Since they all seem to be rather similar, I didn't even need to look for the particular model. I had no idea that I could purchase a tag machine, so I felt fortunate. Why didn't I consider this sooner? Amazon really does have everything. I was able to get this machine operating after a few tries and some YouTube viewing. Let me tell you how simple it is to operate. Several tags that will last me lifetime are included. When I should have just returned an item, I frequently buy clothes or other products, peel off the tags, and then never actually wear them. Instead, I send the item to a charity. It's not that giving is bad; rather, if something is brand new and I just got it, I should be able to return it now that I have my tag machine. This is going to be a lifesaver when I use it to put price tags on items for my yard sales. Recommended for the price, and if you need help, check out YouTube's instructional tutorials.

It sounded like a better option than using safety pins to fasten my card stock price tags to each item of clothing, so I got this tagging gun so I could attach price tags to baby clothes I was selling in a consignment sale. It comes with everything listed in the description and is ready to use. I appreciate that the directions are printed on the box, as this eliminates the risk of me misplacing them. really effective To those who gripe about the gaping hole it creates... You will never come across one that doesn't leave a hole in the fabric when the needle is inserted. These are ALWAYS intended to be placed in the seam or on the tag of garments (where a hole wont matter as much). Because there is already a gap in the seam where it was sewn, if you insert the need through it, it won't leave a hole. It irritates me that people criticize products when they are merely misusing them. I'm hoping that my review will teach folks how to utilize it properly.

I created a brief video that demonstrates how to set up and operate the tagging gun. I was greatly mistaken about how simple it was. It's as easy as1. Rotating the side dial to the three o'clock position.2. Inserting the needle such that the hollow side is parallel to the gun's opening (opposite side of the dial)3. Resetting the dial to the nine o'clock position.4. Pushing the plastic pieces with the "T" in lower case into the gun until they are unable to go any further5. Place the paper tag on the needle or hold it so that the hole is aligned with the location where the plastic or barb should go.6. Make multiple piercings through the paper tag and the clothing tag until the barb emerges on the other size or where you want it to be (you can occasionally get it between layers if you want, but it's a bit tough). If there is no tag, I make an effort to align the hole with a stitched seam to make it less noticeable.7. Pull the gun away after pulling the trigger. The tag has to be in place and prepared.8. On occasion, when beginning a new strand, I have to squeeze the trigger twice to, sort of, prime the gun, but I believe it only happens if I don't press the strand down far enough in the gun. To avoid writing over clothing, I find it easier to write on the tag before putting it on.I purchased this because I was labeling between 300 and 500 clothes items for a yard sale. I've tried a couple different strategies in the past to sell clothes. Stickers have been used, but they come off. People don't like to sift through boxes, therefore I've made boxes with different priced products in each box ($1 items in one box, $3 items in another). Some people are too hesitant to inquire or don't want to take the time to do so, but I've tried it where I don't price anything and have people ask for prices. This year, having prices for each thing was fantastic. I offered Lululemon clothing in pricing ranging from free to $20. Having this made a significant difference. For later in the day, I created a cardboard sign with the words "clothes pricing on tag" and "clothing half off" on the back. Numerous customers praised my garage sale's organization and said it was their favorite. I'm excited to use this firearm at a semi-annual consignment sale I attend.
