If your sander's Velcro is worn out, you can replace it with new Velcro. First, remove the old Velcro from the sander. Next, cut a piece of new Velcro to size and attach it to the sander. Finally, adhere the new Velcro to the sandpaper.
Hook-and-loop sanding discs work by attaching themselves to a velcro pad on a sander. The hooks on the discs grip the velcro and the discs are spun by the sander. The discs are abrasive and sand down the surface of whatever material they are applied to.
To remove PSA sanding discs from a sander, first power off the sander. Next, use a putty knife or other flat-edged tool to pry the disc off of the sander. If the disc is stuck, you may need to use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Once the disc is removed, clean the sander's surface with a damp cloth to remove any adhesive residue.

With these sanding discs, I am quite happy. My sons and I each have our own project cars (50 Jeepster, 64 Barracuda and 70 Mustang Mach 1). We have been happy with these sanding discs, especially considering the price, and use them every week. Although they weren't any better quality but were significantly more expensive, I was purchasing my discs from Home Depot.Problems include:1. The glue on the back of the discs isn't as strong as the glue on other discs I've used, but so far, only one of them has come off, so I'll infer operator error (rapid change and failure to ensure that it was firmly adhered to the pad). Even while the glue isn't as "excellent," it offers enough hold to keep the pad attached until it has to be changed.2. A tiny portion typically rips off at the seam where the discs are attached. Not a big deal, just need to check that the pad isn't exposed.Without a doubt, I'll buy these again.

These disks have been applied to knife handles. Examples include wood, bone, metal, polymers, etc. Amazing set. nice range of grit reasonable longevity and reasonable cost for what you get. When correctly applied and centered, adhesive performs satisfactorily and the disk remains in place. Good item, especially considering the cost.

I used these on a table saw calibration/sanding disc and was astonished by how rapidly the pads removed material off the work piece and continued to work on different surfaces. They can stick almost too well and be more difficult to get rid of than I had intended.

Depending on your use, a good product. Spend the money on 3M for frequent use, although this stuff works great occasionally for 5–10 minutes at a time. Due to the variances in each of the Fine, Medium, and Course, the 36 pack for $18 delivered appears to be from multiple sources. My image displays 3M Centered. Although the products on the left and right are intended to be the same, I wanted to illustrate the diversity. I can't claim that is a negative. Again, everything depends on how you'll use it. I enlarge my pictures. I used high-resolution images so you could see the details.

quite much. enough to prepare a mustang hood, front bumper, both fenders, and plenty more. If painting or sanding an entire car, buy at least 2-3 packs of additional 400grit because you use twice as many 320/400grit in final prep. These pads are just as good as any others I've used, great value, and stick well to your da sander. You will be pleased.

So far, I've only used two of these. The first tore apart shortly after installation, however it's conceivable that I missed an extremely small air gap underneath some of it during installation, which would have snagged on the edge of the board I was rounding over. The second disk has been functioning perfectly for a while and appears to have a respectable lifespan. Of course, whether or not I continue to take the effort to clean it as necessary will determine how long it continues to provide good service. I use and advise purchasing the long rubber "eraser," which is made specifically for such usage, for that. The fact that the second disk is still functioning well lends credence to the possibility that the first disk's failure resulted from installer error. Undoubtedly, a flaw still has to be considered.A Powermatic sander ran or operated both disks. Given how much more powerful this sander is than the tiny Hitachi I previously owned, high-quality disks and belts are required for it to last. When I have had a chance to use the disk for a little while more, I'll try to update this report.

sanding discs of a good size. Although I have only used them a few times, I like them. I purchased them mostly to fix some scratches on my truck after someone was so kind as to key it without cause. I wanted a multi-grit pack of 2" discs since they would leave the scratches I'm fixing with smaller sand lines. I prefer the higher grit discs because I now use my vehicle the most to use them. They remained in place during wet sanding and on the few locations I worked on; they also lasted long enough for my needs. I rated these with four stars because I've only recently started using them and my only issue is that not all of the discs are labelled. However, you can tell if you find one with the grit number on it and then simply write all the items with the same grit on the back with a sharpie. In this manner, you may identify the number of grit you possess without having to seek for one that is numbered. The idea of using a plastic cookie pan to divide them appealed to me. The little wheel can fit in tight spaces and adapts to the curved locations I needed to reach. They last as long as I anticipated they would. I would advise purchasing this item. If any issues occur, I'll update this review.

fantastic stuff The backing's thinness was the only aspect I didn't enjoy. Sometimes when I would pull it off, it would rip, forcing me to take numerous pieces off. Just irritating.
If you're having trouble getting your sandpaper to stick to your sander, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure that the surface of your sander is clean and free of any debris. If the surface is dirty, the sandpaper won't be able to adhere properly. Next, try wetting the surface of the sander with a damp cloth. This will help the sandpaper to stick. Finally, if all else fails, you can try using a spray adhesive.
How long a sanding disc lasts depends on a few factors. The type of sanding disc, the material it's made of, and how often it's used all play a role in how long the disc will last. In general, a good quality sanding disc can last anywhere from a few uses to several months.
A film sanding disc is a type of abrasive disc that is made out of a thin layer of film. The film is typically made out of aluminium oxide or silicon carbide. Film sanding discs are designed for use with orbital sanders. The thin film helps to prevent clogging and provides a consistent finish.
There are many different types of sanding discs on the market, each with their own unique purpose. PSA sanding discs are designed for use with a power sander and are ideal for quickly removing material from a workpiece. These discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that allows them to be easily attached to the sander. PSA sanding discs are available in a variety of grits to suit any sanding application.
Flocking is the process of applying short fibers to a adhesive backing. The fibers can be made from a variety of materials, including nylon, polyester, and cotton. Flocking is most commonly used to add a velvety, suede-like feel to a wide variety of surfaces, including fabric, paper, plastic, and metal.
