These had a significant issue that rendered them worthless for me, much like other comparable wireless LED lights. (And possibly for a few other individuals as well.) They work perfectly in complete darkness, but the light sensor prevents them from turning on if you wish to illuminate a dim but not quite dark location. Due to the fact that if one is on, the light sensor of the other(s) prohibits them from turning on, they are not only ineffective as an auxiliary light source but also when together.Remove the light sensor as a solution. See the pictures in the attachment. If you're careful and don't mind that it probably voids the guarantee because you are literally breaking part of it, it's not actually that difficult to do. Also, make sure that's what you want because it really will activate whenever it detects motion, so make sure it's in a closet or some other location where someone walking by far away won't trigger it.Picture 1: There are three tiny Phillips screws that need to be removed in order to reach the batteries. Take those out, then gently (there are wires) separate the front section, which contains the diffuser and case, from the back section, which houses the batteries and circuits.Photo 2: There are two sensors on the circuit board. Keep in mind that the larger one is the motion sensor. The light sensor is the smaller sensor, which can be seen here in the pliers' grip (the dome cover may slip off, but don't worry, it goes back on just fine). Just tear out the light sensor with considerable force because it is on a few substantial wires, taking care not to damage the remainder of the board.Just put everything back together after that.You now have a light that is sensitive to motion but not light. Please take note once more that this needs to be moved so that it won't be ongoing every time you pass, unless that is what you desire. It works excellent for me in a closet with a door and in a storage space beneath stairs with a door.Alternate Solution: If you want brighter light and don't mind spending a lot more money, you can easily disable the light sensor with this Mr. Beams light. The small dog enjoys sleeping in the bathroom's shadows. The only outlet in this ridiculous house is attached to the light above the mirror and is hooked into it. Cheapskates....... ridiculous. This was also the ideal solution because Mom and Dad are getting older. Mom slipped two nights ago and missed the bathroom. unable to see (macular degeneration and dark, bad combo). I feel such calm thanks to these lights. They are of high quality and perform exactly as they should. Nothing rattles; everything is sturdy. Motion detection is incredibly reliable and effective. If you're coming with me, make sure to get the soft whites. They lack the downward lighting, which I believe is preferable and more evenly disperses light. It seemed better to me to keep them closer to the wall. Put one too high to begin with, so I used some sticky-backed velcro instead of attempting to remove the sticky magnet at the time; it worked fine, just so you know. Compared to that Mr., this is a huge thing. This is obvious.

These are emergency lights that I purchased to have on hand in the event of a blackout and to place one outside my front door in case I arrive home after dark and forget to turn on the light.These are far nicer than I had anticipated. They provide good, bright illumination and are highly responsive. It's really practical that it has a motion sensor, which turns on the light every time the little pantry closet in the kitchen is opened, but it can only be used in certain situations because the light only stays on for around 20 seconds. 3 AAA batteries are needed. Given the strength of the magnetic strip, it adheres fairly well. Contains a little adhesive strip that can be taped to the wall. Since the light is modest and concentrated, it should only be used as a nightlight or in limited settings. However, I'm happy with the product for my needs.

In order to avoid turning on the main light while stumbling up and down the stairs in the dark to fetch anything at the bottom, I used the product on my cellar steps in the house. Great results.
