arrived in excellent shape.Go slowly when opening the box because it contains fragile parts.The hands are packed in plastic and taped together, so please be very cautious when removing them.Use a tiny, pointed tweezer to grab the protective tape as you carefully remove it off the hands.Please refrain from picking at the second hand in search of the coating because there was no protective material there.It's crucial to understand your post size (top to bottom). If you want to position the movement deeper so that it does not protrude as much, you can use metal or rubber washers behind the clock face. Avoid scratching the brass nut when using it. I slowly tightened it up with a pair of taped needlenose pliers. It took some time, but my project was a tremendous success, and should I have another project, I would buy this kit again. Hope it continues to function for a long time:)

This is what I bought to fix my favorite clock. I double- and triple-checked the measurements to make sure it would fit, but regrettably I overlooked one that turned out to be crucial. I couldn't use the included hands since they were too long for my clock and the shaft width was too wide for the hands on my old clock. Finding the exact replacement size I need to repair my clock is proving to be very challenging. I would return it, but the expense versus the reimbursement just isn't worth it. So I'll keep it and use something else to construct a clock. The product itself was properly packaged and shielded from harm. I think the mechanism will function well because it appeared to be of high quality. Of course, until I actually use the product, I won't know for sure how accurate it is.

I simply stopped countersinking the retaining screw and using two-sided mounting tape. It's okay. My clock was fixed by it. The arms are easily bendable and exceedingly brittle. Putting them on was challenging as well. But after some experimentation, I managed to make it work. Although it's a little noisy for me, many clocks are like that. Only because it was a little challenging for me to put it together did I deduct one star. To be honest though, it could have just been me. Pay close attention to the directions.

In conclusion, USE THIS BRAND IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A CLOCK! The cost is unbeatable!Long story short, I manufacture wooden clocks to sell as a small side business, and these clock hands and mechanisms are the best and most reasonably priced I've discovered so far! I used to use clock hands from Hobby Lobby, but they were more expensive, incredibly flimsy, and broke constantly—both when I installed them and when my customers' clocks stopped operating. As a result, I searched for a better option and came across these, which are EXACTLY what I needed! The mechanism doesn't break during installation like some of the others I've used, and the hands are of decent quality (they are still bendable metal, but much more sturdy and less likely to "snap" than other brands). Time is also kept well by it. For my 30" clocks, I use these size hands, and they work great! Just so you know, you'll usually need to route a hole in the rear for the clock mechanism to fit through if you want to create a clock using a manufactured wood circle and this clock mechanism.

It was ideal for the project I was working on. made a clock for my home out of waste from the manufacture of skateboards. Not too crazy, but it turned out well. Moving about is easy, and there is hardly any sound at all. Simple to put together; if you can't, you're probably inebriated. The hands do seem a little cheap, and mine had a few minor flaws that were only very evident up close.In the end, I used a Dremel to remove the top "hanging" part. The hanger was an inconvenience and was not necessary for my application because I was inserting it into a square pocket. The square pocket was created using a CNC machine, and the region surrounding the hole was subsequently depressed to create a space for the rubber washer. A fantastic small kit for DIY enthusiasts, in all seriousness. The numbers (12, 3, 6, 9) are incorrect because I briefly became dyslexic and messed up two numbers in my cut file. Though, hey, first attempt.
