Even though it took a while for this goods to arrive, the wait was worthwhile. I began crafting pillow boxes as giveaways for my impending nuptials. I've also used it to make "banh trang tron" by cutting rice sheets into paper (a Vietnamese snack). Make sure to thoroughly clean the blades before using it on food if you want to use it as I do.The product is excellent overall. It is extremely strong and stable. Keep out of the reach of youngsters. The only modification I would advise for this product is to angle it so that it will cut straight. It won't be straight if you just insert it in the way that it is. It will take some time for you to get it to write, but persevere because most of these paper cutters, regardless of the brand you choose, are not straight.

This cutter is fantastic. It completes my request exactly. I had become weary of paying a print business to perform my cutting only to have the cuts be crooked or slanted. Cuts like those are unsuitable for my items, which are intended for resale.I selected this paper cutter after doing extensive research and responding to inquiries from other purchasers here. For greeting cards, I primarily cut 80 lb card stock (216 g/m2), but I also occasionally cut 24 lb and 32 lb text or writing paper for note pads. Although I adore my rotary blade paper cutter, it is impractical to cut 500 to 1000 sheets at once. This one fits under that category. I cut around 50 sheets of the 80 lb card stock at a time. The cutter performs flawlessly. There are two methods for aligning and holding the paper firmly. There won't be any slippage if both are nicely tight. I was ecstatic to get the outcomes I did. The machine worked well as I also cut 100 sheets of card material. My arm found it difficult to chop through all of them. I needed two hands for this. I don't perceive any distinction between the machine's ability to precisely cut with either quantities.You need to place a piece of cardboard or card stock at the top and bottom of your stack, as advised by one reviewer. The piece on the bottom won't be required after the first few cuts because any oil or residue from the bottom will be gone. The top will still be required since it absorbs the dent created when the arm holding the stack of papers is tightened. The card stock I'm using for my top sheets is less expensive. When needed, these extras are useful for sample cards.The absence of instructions has been brought up by a number of reviewers, and I do concur. Practically none exist for using and handling the cutter. I'm happy about that one because it does include instructions for changing a blade when it is necessary. The first issue I encountered was that the shipping process had turned the lever on the very front right, which controls how high the fastening bar is. I was at a loss as to how to fix it until I saw there was an allen wrench in the bag along with some screws. The handle was then secured with a screw that required an allen wrench, I discovered. All I had to do was unscrew the handle so that the knobbed portion was facing forward rather than inward. (Now it sounds so easy. Do I have this right? a diagram would make the explanation clearer.) The handle is a black, almost j-shaped piece that is located on the right side. (I'm not talking about the big straight handle for chopping.)The huge cutting handle simply slips over a 4 inch cylinder at the cutter's right back without using any screws. When not in use, it is simple to take back off and set aside. I appreciate this safety feature. A safety lock at the back prevents anyone from unintentionally lowering the cutting blade with the large handle. You tap down on a circular extension to unlock the handle before starting your cut. Before releasing your grip, slightly lower the handle to prevent a repeat lock. Another element of safety I value.I hope this is useful to anyone who is considering buying this and wants more instructions. According to my experience and what I require, it is well worth the money. It is robust and ideal for use in a small office or even at home, or really for anyone who does a lot of cutting.This cutter has my full satisfaction. Numerous sheets of paper can be cut quickly.

Instead of ordering, we chose to print our wedding save the dates, so we had to trim each one down to size. This paper cutter was exactly what we needed, and it worked flawlessly. Since we were using thick paper (postcard material), I was only able to cut one sheet at a time (due to the template printout being inaccurate on lengths). didn't affect the performance of this product. I didn't need to use the magnetic tool that was included, but I guess it is useful when cutting a lot of paper at once.Utilizing it was pretty simple.The paper is held in place by a rubber grip that lifts when the handle is raised; it kind of looks like a windshield wiper, but it works!I appreciate that the cutter is a solid piece of metal with square, precisely cut edges that slides against the board to precisely cut the paper, rather than being sharp like a blade. Perfect! The item is safe, accurate, sharp, and light. When I moved, I left my old, heavy one behind, and I was dissatisfied with the used rotary-blade trimmer I had intended to use in its place. When Amazon alerted me that this particular guillotine-trimmer was on sale, I eventually caved and placed an order for a new one. The rubber feet keep you from sliding. I don't find the plastic guard to be an obstruction, despite what one reviewer had said. The timing was perfect, and the product is superior to what I had! I had no idea that I would be creating a large-scale craft for my son's wedding that I would be unable to complete without a trimmer. I'm very pleased with how Amazon notifies me when certain things I've explored or added to my wish list are on sale. I did make one modification: I taped a paper measuring tape that was part of a sewing kit from a dollar store at the bottom. Having the inches numbered is helpful for me even though the printed grid has 1/2 inch increments.
