Are one or two piece rods better?

There isn't really a definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preference. Some anglers prefer one piece rods because they are easier to transport and don't require as much assembly. Others prefer two piece rods because they can be more easily customised to the length that you need. Ultimately, it comes down to what you feel most comfortable using.

You can use a shower curtain rod for a window if it is the right size and if you use shower curtain hooks that are made for shower curtains. The shower curtain rod will need to be slightly larger than the width of the window, and the hooks will need to be installed so that they are not visible from outside the window.

GoodtoU Tension Rods - 5 Pack Cupboard Bars Tensions Rod Curtain Rod 28" to 48"(Approx.) Extendable Width Spring Tension Rods Fit in The Spaces to Stay Up Review:

I've gone through three sets of these rods, not because they were damaged or needed to be replaced, but rather because I have a lot of windows that require coverings. Therefore, they are simple to tighten and open, and most significantly, they stop holes in walls. Simply slide the curtain in, take measurements, and push it into position. To save myself from the difficulties of measuring, locating studs, and drilling, I only wish I had bought these sooner. Absolutely worth purchasing.

Wow, this rod has really pleased me! It is really solid and thick. extremely excellent quality and beautifully crafted! Much better than the shower curtain poles I previously purchased. It's actually even more sturdy than the curtain rods I actually purchased, and I believe it will survive for many years!

6 Pack Spring Tension Curtain Rod Adjustable Length for Kitchen, Bathroom, Cupboard, Wardrobe, Window, Bookshelf DIY Projects (Black - 6 Pack,15.7" to 28" Adjustable) Review:

This device worked great for me and was incredibly simple to use. It was incredibly simple to hang my sheers. Yay, no hammer or nails are required!

GOODUSCN 6 Pack Tension Rods, Adjustable Spring Steel Cupboard Bars Rod Curtain Rods, Extendable Width 15.7" to 28" (Approx.) Black Review:

I'm delighted I bought these because these rods are better and stronger than the inexpensive tension rods of a comparable size. I use rods like this for a variety of purposes, including creating a curtained closet at the end of a tight corridor, using the shorter lengths vertically as organizers in cabinets and on shelves, and more. To have a location for S hooks to keep items like measuring cups, clipped ziplock bags that are drying, utensils, etc., I am utilizing this pair over my sink, between cabinets hung on either side of a window. Instead of turning them both in the same direction, I staggered them such that the little end was on the left of one and the right of the other. Compared to standard cafe curtain tension rods, the end caps are much prettier, stay on better, and don't scratch surfaces. I believe that these tension rods, as well as any other tension rods available, are expensive. These are an upgrade over the less expensive ones, which are prone to bending and losing their caps. I can't really gripe because they shipped for free.

This is what I'm using for the Pinterest organisation tip where you hang the smaller spices from a tension rod to arrange your spices. These arrived in the mail yesterday, and I instantly arranged my spices. So far, it's been a success! These are probably only suitable for smaller cabinets because the majority of my other cabinets are too large to use them. Sincerely, I'm not sure whether I'd trust these to support something particularly heavy. However, they're ideal for my intended use!

Rod Desyne 3/4" Round Spring Tension Rod 48"-84", Black, 48-84", Review:

Update: By applying a lot of force to it and extending it 3 inches past the window frame, my husband was able to keep it up. I'm happy right now because it hasn't fallen down yet!I've tried to hang it both ways so far, with and without curtains, and each time it gently slides down the window trim before falling. The side rubber grips are too smooth to support the rod. I put a lot of pressure on the rod as well. It is 72 inches across my window. My spouse might be able to make it work, or he might try adding some sort of gripping material to the ends and seeing what happens. Unhappy thus far, and likely to return.

Rod Desyne 7/16" Round Spring Tension Rod 18"-28", Black, 18-28" Review:

is really light duty, so it wouldn't be able to support my heavy sheer curtain, but it would. Unfortunately, because I misread this, I though I was getting two (for that money, really), one black and one white, but I actually only received one. It must have worked out because I had to get a heavier-duty, more affordable one to hold up my bulk curtain because this one was inadequate. But it keeps my sheer curtain in place well.

AIZESI 2PCS Tension Rod Tier Window Short Curtain Rod,16 to 28inch,Black Review:

These tension rods have a gorgeous appearance. The black finish is sleek and extremely fashionable. I wasn't able to measure my window accurately. This rod functions perfectly, and since my valance is so lightweight, I won't have any issues utilising it. The rod will wobble or bow with any weight, though, if you find that your use involves stretching it to its maximum length. That is the one thing I discovered that was bad, and I am to blame for not planning beforehand. Get accurate measurements!

Rod Desyne Oval Spring Tension Rod 22"-36", Black, 22-36", Review:

For my studio apartment's closet, I purchased this curtain rod. I was quite reluctant after reading the reviews because so many people claimed that it sagged in the center. I'm not sure what they used it for or how long it was (my is 60"), but it's perfect for what I need it for. Let's suppose that hanging clothing off of it would not be strong enough. Be realistic about the use of the thin, metal curtain rod you are purchasing. Both the pricing and the quality are excellent. The rod's directions were challenging to understand, but after some experimentation, I was able to use it. Do not use the tiny square metal washer that is included when you open the container! This is necessary for it to function.

Umbra Coretto 1/2-Inch Tension Drapery Rod for Window, 24 to 36-Inch, Black Review:

Great results! In order to reduce the heat a little bit, I intended to put blackout drapes as near to my wall as possible in my very hot windows. This curtain rod was purchased because I purchased exquisite linen sheers from Pottery Barn to place within the windows for seclusion. Two sheer curtains on one pole look wonderful with my 46" interior measurement. Even though linen sheers are lightweight, I feel like this rod is quite sturdy. I put the sheers on the rod in five minutes because it is movable. They are on three of my windows, and I'm glad to have them. See my photo of off-white Pottery Barn Emery blackout drapes hanging behind white linen Pottery Barn sheers. I'm overjoyed.
