I had to start hunting for a side sliding window that would suit the newly framed aperture since in my haste, I had framed the window to a big, inappropriate size for the window I had already purchased. This 24x32 basement slider that I found seemed ideal. The cost of this was more than reasonable, and I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that would just be used in my garage and not my own home. The window arrived from Amazon in less than a week, and the fit was flawless! The window is beautiful, works well, and exactly satisfies my demands. The one thing about it that I don't like is that the bottom of the closed window doesn't have a lip, making it difficult to push open. It must be opened by pushing on the top frame edge near the lock. Furthermore, these cannot be folded out for cleaning. To access the window's outside right edge, you must first remove the bottom half of the screen. Aside from those minor issues, this window ended up being the ideal choice for my project, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if necessary. Definitely advisable!

Although I purchased three and they fit the chicken coop I built nicely, once they were placed, one of them would not open. Thankfully, unlike the other two, it's in a location that doesn't necessary need to be opened. May not transmit back because the space needed to be occupied (or a predator could have entered) by something.
