I am giving this 4 instead of 5 stars to let you know that there is a problem, not necessarily to give the product a lower rating. The packaging could have been better, but the rack arrived on schedule and undamaged. The rack should be packed in a more solid box due to its extremely heavy duty nature (which is a positive thing). Mine has a few holes where the back had apparently been handled roughly and cut through the cardboard. But that is only a small issue. Although it accommodated the majority of our skis, the actual issue is that my Nordica "hell and back" rocker wide skis won't stay in the rack. The tips of these skis flex sufficiently to lose their hold because they are designed to be less rigid than usual (amazing for powder). I would have attempted to attach some form of sleeve to one of the peg pairs, which I believe would work just well, if I hadn't needed all of the pegs for the family skis that filled it completely. In a perfect world, they might incorporate such a solution because it wouldn't be expensive and because their price is so high that, in my opinion, their margin could support a $50 increase. This should allay the worries of another reviewer who was concerned about the metal pegs being used to mark the skis.

On store two snowboards, five pairs of skis (including two pairs of fat skis), and three pairs of poles, I mounted this to the ceiling of my garage. I stacked two snowboards on top of each other to make room for everything.I set the brackets in place "apart, which absolutely suited everything. I installed them on 1x6 lumber that I cut long enough to span two floor joists since I wanted them mounted perpendicular to the joists. To attach the brackets to the lumber (1") and the lumber to the ceiling joists (2 1/2), I used 1/4" lag bolts "Hardware like this was NOT supplied. The screws that came in the box are intended to fasten the brackets directly to the floor joist, which would make them parallel rather than perpendicular, therefore I was unable to use them.They are constructed of a heavy, solid-feeling substance with a premium coating. I believe the thick foam used to cover the arms will hold up well over time. We shall see. The brackets are vertically adjustable and couldn't be simpler to change.

I adore this so much! It's a great idea to remove this clutter from the corners in such an easy and cheap way. Because they are so totally rewarding, these are my favorite purchases. My mental health is greatly affected by it because nothing (I'm so OCD) ever feels clean or tidy enough for me. When I first got the goods, the pegs weren't properly aligned. Custer service was excellent and quickly replaced it. Peg alignment on the second rack was considerably better but not perfect. The pegs stick out awkwardly above the pre-drilled holes because they don't fit inside of them; occasionally, one corner even slightly sunk into the hole at an angle. Given that it's hidden in my apartment, I'm really delighted with the product.

decent rack It takes very little time and is really simple to mount. Despite my hopes, the mounts do not lock to the crossbars. However, there are less common Allen type screws with particular heads that secure the handle that releases the mounts (making it less likely that the potential burglar will have the tool on hand). Additionally, if you want to attach using T channel crossbar bolts, they cannot be used as-is. If the crossbar is fastened with T channel bolts, the arms that elevate to let the skis or boards in hit it. Still, a solid product all around.

Very robust, easy to install, and functional. To have anything to mount to during my installation, I had to screw some boards to my first-level floor joists because it involved a Michigan basement (also known as a foundational building with a ledge). To fully seat some of the pins in the main bracket—which keep the hangers in place—I did need to tap them with a hammer a few times. On the rack, I have capacity for 12 pairs of cross-country skis and 8 pairs of poles.

My garage looks amazing with the rack. I've got four sets of ski poles and three pairs of skis hanging there. To fasten the leg bolts to the wall, they needed to use some force. All four of my skis fit. All that remains is to assemble the bottom leg. really simple to install Your ski may lean to the front or back depending on how long it is. A good place to store skis. I didn't give five stars since I still feel that the cost is a bit excessive.
