I purchased one of these in order to precisely determine my shoe size as I frequently purchase shoes online. Cross-referencing with foreign-made shoes, which typically run small and thin, is problematic. We are not on the same page because a handful of stores in the United States do not employ this technology. I need perfectly fitting shoes as anything less causes me difficulty due to age and mileage on my feet. For years, especially department stores, where I bought my shoes, continued selling me 9 Ds. I received the equipment and discovered that my actual size is 10 B. My purchase of a pair of 10 Bs was a revelation! For the first time in years, my feet were cozy. I found that most retailers sell guys in the D width because it is the most popular and what they have. Unfortunately, wearing shoes that don't fit properly can permanently harm your feet if they are much narrower (or broader, I suppose). Get one of these if you don't know of a reliable location to have your feet accurately measured.

I'm delighted I finally bought this, but I really ought to have a few years ago! Because our preferred brands aren't always available in local stores, I often buy my daughter's shoes online, so I felt we should really have one of these. I was on the verge of spending the extra $10 for the metal one after reading all the reviews for both this plastic and the metal one. After all, I didn't want to spend this much money on something only to have it break after one use. However, I must admit that the plastic is thick and quite robust. Additionally, because the moving components are joined by metal, they move very smoothly. This doesn't feel like a toy made of cheap plastic or anything similar. The reviews that claimed this was made of inferior plastic, in my opinion, were only stating that because they were anticipating metal. I truly don't think this is delicate at all, but I am planning to take good care of it just in case (keep away from little hands right away after usage). Should the pricing be what it is right now? Okay, no. It seems like $30 would be a more reasonable price, but we don't appear to have any other options. Therefore, I deducted a star for the cost. But because it's of such great quality, I have no doubt that it will enable me to choose my daughter's feet's shoe sizes more wisely. In fact, on the initial measurement I experienced a "Oh! ", "aha" moment You now have WIDE feet!" Therefore, I heartily endorse this product to anyone who purchases their child's shoes online. You can absolutely save the $10 and purchase the plastic one.

There is really no substitute for this true shoe sizer. Due to the broad feet of both of my boys, I am compelled to buy all of their shoes online. Wide width shoes for kids are not sold at any shoe stores. My spouse is an expert measurer user because he previously worked at a shoe business. I've been estimating my kids' shoe sizes and just going up one half size whenever their shoes get a little snug. This could result in costly errors. Because my oldest complained that the new shoes I got him were too tight, the device had already paid for itself. Because I believed his feet may have gotten broader like his brother's, I was about to get extra wide for him rather than standard wide. Instead, I purchased this and took his foot measurement. For a very long time, I had foot pain. I saw a foot doctor, who only wanted to sell me a pair of $400 orthotics. I bought a pair, but they didn't really help. I later learned that as people age, their feet can expand; as a result, my feet went from a size 12 to a size 14 and a half. That was the source of my pain. I got a brannock because I couldn't find one in any of the nearby shoe stores. Thank God I did because now my feet don't hurt as bad. In order to minimize returns, I decided to actually measure my feet precisely rather than relying on the big-box store's "that's about right" system when I wanted to test ordering a pair of shoes online. A Brannock device looked like overkill for this initial Brannock gadget buy. So I gave this more suited to home use gadget a try. works well, it seems. In actuality, I learned that I had chosen the incorrect shoe size. It sounds like a useful tool for families, and I preferred it to the online store method of measuring the footprints on a sheet of paper while crossing my fingers that the pencil wasn't angled, too thick, or something similar. I believed I received a precise, accurate measurement. Made in the USA is stated.It would make sense to spend extra money and get the Brannock device if someone is a "fashionista" who frequently purchases pricey shoes online and needs to continually measure their feet accurately while wearing nothing on their feet, wool socks, thin socks, etc (Combination Brannock Device). With the proviso that it is constructed of wood and won't endure heavy use the way the all-metal Brannock device can, I believe this tool will work for typical household use. It's probably ideal for adults whose feet are no longer developing and who infrequently need to measure their feet.

As you walk, they bend at the ankle, arch, and toes thanks to their flexibility. They NEED space to stretch.That explains why hammertoe and bunions are so common in persons who wear shoes that are too tight or short (for instance, high heels with sharp toes). Getting the correct sizes has been incredibly useful because I enjoy buying shoes for my kids online. Since most websites include forms you can download and have your kids stand on to determine their size, I was initially hesitant to buy it.
