Exo Terra Silk Terrarium Plant, Medium, Abutilon Review:

For my two young iguanas, I bought this ExoTerra Abutilon Silk Jungle Plant w. Suction cup (medium size). If you own iguanas, you've probably seen that they enjoy hiding and climbing on leaves and other vegetation from the jungle. This item exceeded my expectations in terms of the strength of the suction to my terrarium walls; it is wonderfully supporting the weight of my two infants. In order for them to mature and still be able to use the vines, I got them in medium size. The leaves have a smooth surface, which is exactly what you would anticipate from any of these goods. However, the vine portion appears as though it could perhaps separate. If it does, I'll update my review, but for now, everything looks to be in order. As one would like to mock the iguana's natural environment to assure their pet's contentment, the hue is extremely realistic. I've had no issues with the product thus far and would suggest it to anyone who owns an iguana. In addition, the price was significantly less expensive than the options available in local stores. a necessity for lizard care.

Exo Terra Plastic Terrarium Plant, Large, Mandarin Review:

For two different terrariums, I bought a medium and large Ruscus, a giant Ficus, and a large Mandarin. In order to create regions of dappled shadow for my daughter's diurnal snake, I disassembled the medium-sized Ruscus and fastened the leaves to Fluker's Bend-a-Branch under the basking and UVB lights. Race is able to select his own level of exposure thanks to this. Despite the fact that he has a natural terrarium with live plants, I wanted a fake plant that could withstand heat, and the Ruscus (which is made of fabric) performs the task (and looks convincing enough that it won't draw attention to itself). In the confines of the corn snake, I left the three substantial vines in tact. Lyra enjoys hiding among her fake plants, the most of which are Exo Terra. The three of them together add some variety in terms of color and texture, which I find more aesthetically pleasant. They are enduring the misting and Lyra's nightly excursions nicely. The suction cups that came with them, however, were not used because I didn't want the plants to fall off the wall due to her size and energy. Instead, I used cable clips to fasten the stems to the glass and the base of the lid. Lyra would feel more secure on the left side of her 40 gallon breeder tank if I added the third huge vine after installing the first two (picture supplied to show coverage). She has been spending more time daytime cruising since the plants were installed.

Exo Terra Silk Terrarium Plant, Large, Ficus Review:

This Ficus silk foliage in the large size initially struck me as being quite cheap-looking, and I intended to return it. Even printing the return labels was a step I took. (Ahead of me even placing it in the package, Amazon credited my account. great business!) We have an 8-foot Ficus tree that we've had for a long time, but it had lost some leaves and small branches due to moving it and the claws of our cats, who occasionally treat it like a huge cat toy. I had ordered this to chop apart and use to rebuild the tree. So yesterday I went exploring for some alternate leaf possibilities. I visited six establishments that sell silk plants, but I was unable to discover any that looked better than this one. So I decided to give these a shot.I divided the stem section into two pieces and attached them with Sugru Sugru SMLT8 Hardware Sealer, Multi Color, 8-Pack air curing rubber. I created a greenish tint by combining around 20% black with roughly 80% yellow. I utilized pieces with seven leaves to affix them to branches without leaves. The fact that some of the leaves were light green and some were dark green was one of the primary reasons I wanted to return these. The first tree was completely dark. But I did place a few of these all around the tree, and I like how it turned out. In order to contribute, I really just ordered some more. Even if they appear somewhat false up close, they appear fine from a distance of a few feet. They actually make the tree much larger and closer to how it seemed when we bought it. Additionally, I believe the two leaf colors give the tree some depth. The Sugru performs a fantastic job of firmly retaining the leaves in place. They might be cat-proof, in my opinion. ( On 9/3/13, I recorded a video review in which I demonstrate some repairs and leaves that I Sugrued back onto a separate tree. Hardware Sealer, Multicolor, 8-Pack Sugru SMLT8Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase and embarrassed to have considered returning it. (Last night, I spoke with Amazon and had the credit reversed. Given that I just ordered another one today, they must think I'm crazy.

Exo Terra Plastic Terrarium Plant, Large, Mandarin Review:

I purchased both a medium and a large Ruscus, a large Ficus, and a Large Mandarin for two different terrariums. For my daughter’s diurnal snake, I disassembled the medium sized Ruscus and attached the leaves to Fluker’s Bend-a-Branch under the basking and UVB lights in order to break up the rays a bit, creating areas of dappled shade. This allows Race to choose his own level of exposure. Although he has a natural terrarium with real plants, I needed a fake plant that could withstand heat and the Ruscus (which is fabric) does the trick (and it looks real enough so it’s not a distraction).I kept the three large vines intact in the corn snake’s enclosure. Lyra likes to hide in her plants which are all fake—the majority are Exo Terra—and the three combined add a bit of diversity in terms of color and texture which I find more aesthetically pleasing. They are holding up well to misting and to Lyra’s nightly forays. I didn't use the suction cups that came with them, though, as she is a rather large, energetic individual and I didn’t want the plants to pop off the wall. Instead, I attached the stems to the glass and the bottom of the lid with cable clips. After installing 2 of the large vines (photo included to show coverage), I added the third so Lyra would feel more secure on the left side of her 40 gallon breeder tank. Ever since the plants went in, she’s been out cruising more in the daytime.

Exo Terra Terrarium Plant Review:

The turtle, Bruce, adores it. With his nose submerged, he maneuvers it. On its side, he appears to adore it the most. It irritates the heck out of me when he knocks it over since I have a tendency to be a little OCD about these things. However, since my turtle enjoys it, I guess it gets a 5 star rating. He wouldn't be able to tip it over if it had a tiny suction cup on the bottom, but then it would only have four stars because he wouldn't enjoy it as much, isn't that right? We are analyzing this too much. These Exo Terra plants, which I have several of, all appear to be well-made. It's bothersome and makes you feel like you should clip the margins of the leaves on some of the less expensive ones (not exo Terra). The animals won't notice, but it's merely aesthetic. ANYWAY, the Exo Terra have the least amount of extra plastic and typically don't require any trimming. The plants are inexpensive, and Bruce adores them.

Fluker's 51017 Repta Vine Small Animal Hanging Vine, Red Coleus Review:

These vines were a lovely addition to the environment of my bearded dragon. It elevates the appearance to a whole new level. The suction cups are this item's main drawback. They have a hook to retain the vines and are tiny suction cups. Even if the suction cup itself doesn't come off, the hook has more of a L shape, making it simple to remove the vines. My dragon can't climb the vines, which is unfortunate, but for the time being, he likes to relax in a plant underneath them. Later, I'll either get new suction cups or take out my pliers to straighten the hook's curve.

Fluker's Repta Vines-English Ivy for Reptiles and Amphibians Review:

This vine is gorgeous! They seem to fit my crested gecko enclosure just right, in my opinion. It doesn't really matter to me that they aren't very robust because I use them to fill up the empty space in the tank. It comes with some rather powerful suction cups, but since the vines are not linked to them, it is difficult to maintain the vines on the suction cups. They are really simple to clean because they are smooth. I recommend them to anyone with a crested gecko who wants some vines to fill the empty space in their tank because my crested gecko enjoys climbing on them.

Exo Terra Jungle Vine Review:

Exo Terra Vines have been a part of my gecko tank since 2004. They're of excellent quality and ideal for adding more climbing terrain above his cave and giving the entire area a much less desolate appearance. The texture has a great grip and feels and looks very authentic. highly advisableThe enormous version is shipped in a single, incredibly long, flexible tube. I prefer to fold my 10 gallon tank in half, twist the 'legs' together, and loop it around in a loose spiral to make the most of the available area. The major reason I create unusual kinks and shapes is to prevent *I* from becoming bored. As long as he can poop at a reasonable height, my leopard gecko is content. :p Unless you desire extra sturdiness for heavier lizards, the smaller-sized vines don't need to be knotted in the same manner.NOTE: Take caution when bending the vines because coating parts might come off very easily, especially from the larger ones. Although it doesn't damage the goods, you might need to sweep the floor again afterward. Additionally, avoid repeatedly bending it in the same location because, like any coated or insulated wire (*cough* Apple *cough*), the tube can shatter under excessive pressure.Every time I thoroughly clean the tank, I replace the vines because the surface attracts lizard and cricket droppings. But given how long they often endure, that does not suffice to deduct a star. The smaller vines are visible in the image I submitted. (My gecko, for reference, is around 9" head to tail.) About 1.5 times as wide are the huge vines.
