I can't say enough good things about this product. It's my little Sophie's favorite food. I have her so spoiled .... I feed it to her on my lap with a plastic fork. She does not like a metal fork to hit her teeth. But she has been eating this product, as well as their solid food, for most of her 12 years now and is in really good shape for an older Mini-Mini Schnauzer. It's just enough for her... I keep it in the refrigerator. She seems to have trouble chewing solid dog food....(but come to think about it, she chews up a bone quickly when she finds one outdoors....little stinker!) Anyway, the food really smells good enough for a person to eat. It's so handy too, to take along somewhere. It could also be mixed with solid dog food. My dog thinks she is a person and thus, cannot believe I give her "dog food" to eat. I went through so many different brands and types of food that I was starting to think she would just wither away and die because no matter how hungry she was, she simply would not eat the food I gave her. At last, I picked up some Cesar dog food that looked like stew. My dog ate a tiny bit of it and then refused it but I had hope. I picked up some pate and low and behold, she ate it all. Of all the wonderful home style foods I gave her, she likes the chunk of ground up pate. The Cesar Savory Delights Variety Pack Rotisserie Chicken and Filet Mignon is a nice change from the Steak and Filet Mignon I have been giving my dog. She likes the taste of the chicken as well as the filet mignon and enjoys her dinner at last.The ingredients are pretty good and she has had no digestive issues with this food. My vet said it was fine to give her. At the point where we were at, almost anything probably would have been fine. But the vet says that Cesar is better than some of the other brands I mentioned to him and my dog's blood work shows she is a very healthy but very spoiled 4 year old Yorkie.The containers are easy to open and dump into her bowl and they empty completely. The consistency is like, well, pate. I chop it up into little square chunks and add a bit of dry food and it's gone in a minute or two. If your dog is picky, you may have success with this brand. It smells good and apparently appeals to dogs that don't like chunky wet dog foods like Alpo or others like it. This brand in pate only is the only food my Yorkie will eat. It's not too expensive either! I have it on Subscribe and Save and it's cheaper than I can buy at the store.

When my daughter realized that our two feral cats were looking quite thin, she decided to give them my albacore tuna, which I purchased for $1.99 per can, and then she had the audacity to ask me to buy 7 more cans to get through the rest of the week. I gambled on this package because I've never owned a cat; the tastes sounded good, and the size is about that of a tuna can plus some dry food. Now they stop by for supper every night between 7:30 and 8 o'clock, and they've started bringing a buddy as well. Therefore, my cat is unusual in that she favours canned dog food, specifically Beneful, to any cat food. I've been using the standard tubs, but I impulsively purchased these. My dog and cat adore them. I add water because there isn't any gravy and little juice. The tiny parts appeal to them both. My three-year-old, 29-pound dog adores his moist Purina One Game Bird. I bought it since the chicken isn't "warming," but rather "cooling" or "neutral." Compared to his more expensive food, he is not as grumpy on this cuisine. He chokes and throws up the little bones, so I would continue but he chokes. We brought him to the vet, where an x-ray revealed that he had small pieces of stuff in his stomach. However, we are switching to Purina Beyond wet because it does not include "by-products," which is code for "can contain bones." I've always given Blue Buffalo's Life Protection Formula to my pug dog, Babu (chicken and brown rice flavor). Babu switched to the Senior version as he aged (same product with less calories). But my dog started becoming picky about what he ate. The kibble was very rough, and it might have injured his teeth. I could only get him to eat his kibble by soaking it in water first. But this turned into a huge mess, and Babu would still be finicky occasionally. I was hand-feeding him one by one and growing increasingly agitated.It was suggested to me that since the canned food was already wet, I might try adding a scoop to his kibble to make it more appealing to my dog. When I tried it out, Babu absolutely loved it. Now, I don't have to stress and argue to get my dog to eat. I've saved so much time and effort because of this. The best thing about these cans is that they have lift-off lids, which eliminate the need for a can opener. When only a tablespoon is used after opening, the remainder can be put in the refrigerator. The food is a touch sticky, and using a spoon will make it stick to the spoon. After scooping his food, you can always get your dog to lick the spoon!I adore this product all around. It has allowed me to be so liberated. Do not hesitate to try combining this product with your dog's kibble if he is a picky eater. You won't be unhappy with the outcomes.

I use the entire line of Blue Buffalo products to feed my service dog. She is in excellent health and shape. Our veterinarian always comments on this. If I have a complaint, it's not about the product itself but rather how frequently we receive cases of food that have so many dented cans. Because the contents of the dented cans are destroyed and the food smells unpleasant when you open them, we are unable to feed her. My dog notifies me when anything is wrong, and if we don't fix it right away, she won't eat it. Strangely, many of the cans in this last case that were facing away from the exterior edges had the greatest dents. I essentially paid for 12 cans, but I only received 5. improved packaging? To have quality control notice this? Help me here, please. Although not the first time, this was the worst.
