Already owning one, I now have two—one for each hand—because I adore it so much. The socket heats up to the point where it burns my hand since it hits with such extreme force. My coworkers are envious of the repair shop where I work, and the owner is upset with me for using the charger's electricity, which he pays for. He's a cheapskate, I told him, because running an air compressor to power air equipment uses a lot more electricity than using my charger! As much as or more strong than air, it impacts more slowly than air, and there are no air hoses to get in the way. It's heavy and you'll feel it while using it frequently, but it maintains working despite being dropped and mistreated. It also strengthens my arms. I can operate all day with a single 5.0 amp cell; you don't need two or a larger 9 amp pack, but it's a good idea to keep a backup battery in case the first one goes out.

The lug nut on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee was jammed. I used a full-size, four-point steel lug wrench. I made use of a breaking bar. both following the threads' application of PB Blaster. Today, on July 22, 2018, this DCF899HB arrived in the mail. A battery and an 18mm impact socket were attached. About two seconds of hammering later, bingo! That lug was removed as if it weren't even there. I believe myself to be a pretty strong, athletic type, yet despite my best efforts with hand tools, I was unable to remove this lug nut. I've taken front ends off other cars and numerous Jeeps' wheels off before, so this isn't my first time.All I can advise is to forget it if you have any doubts about this tool's ability to back out. This isn't playing at all!It feels evenly paced. I have no issues with the ergonomics of the fwd/rev. I held it sideways between three and nine o'clock with two hands.I don't mind that the instrument is heavy, though. It should be substantial and weighty. When reinstalling bolts, impact driver beginners should use caution.Similar to how my smaller Dewalt impact driver drove bolts on too tightly, I'm sure this would do the same if you didn't stop right away when the nut reached the bottom. The same is true when replacing the starter bolts.Start the nuts by hand if you haven't used an impact driver before, then drive them in till they strike the bottom and STOP immediately. then manual final torque You may torque it down more with an impact driver as you gain experience with one. Take care! Impact drivers are powerful tools that can shred threads from aluminum parts or snap off bolts before you even notice what has happened. Do not use this to reinstall your oil drain plug!Last but not least, ensure sure you have a spotless impact socket that tightly fits the nut. In any other case, you can round the nut's hex points.Don't cut corners and utilize an impact socket that fits poorly. Additionally, always check the driver's direction visually before attempting to remove nuts or bolts.

No, it doesn't have the strongest impact on the market, but that wasn't the plan either. It has a 330fp impact, which is nice and light yet strong enough to take off MOST of the bolts you will come across. I also own a mid torque from the (Red) brand, and while it is unquestionably more potent, it also feels a LOT heavier in the hand. In essence, you have a small (150–200 fp) range for little jobs, a large (700 fp) range for extremely high torque/rusted bolts, and a midrange (300–400 fp) range for anything else. Why not just get a high torque impact wrench, you might be asking? They quickly get very heavy, which is the cause. Therefore, if you only intend to remove a few lug nuts, use your mid torque and finish the job.

After reading countless reviews, I treated myself to a gift for Christmas and chose a dewalt. Every third or fourth time I put the battery in the charger, it would charge and read charged. tuned for a different. I discovered this on day 1 when it failed to charge that apparently DeWalt also has problems with individuals failing to snap them into the charger.I'm therefore quite happy with the Dewalt after using it for 8 months on a 1980 CJ5 and a 1975 FJ40. The three torque levels are effective for me, and the battery life is good. I've stripped a lot of rusty, old nuts off in the beginning, but you learn to regulate the trigger and not pull it all the way back. The best thing for removing tires from trailers and autos.

Dewalt tools are great. Additionally, I really enjoy not having worn-out brushes. I was quite eager to experience this effect. However, this one has several drawbacks. The anvil is too tiny, which is the main issue. It has a gap on all four corners after I attached a brand-new Snapon impact socket to it. I have the brushed model of this (DCF883), and it nicely hugs the socket.In terms of power, I believe the brushed version triumphs when compared to the original. This one is less powerful and appears to be having greater difficulty. The only issue with that is that since it doesn't have wear-able brushes, the brushless motor will likely have higher power in the long run.The bolts on the semi I was working on were rather rusted. 5/16 bolts. This brushless impact was unable to move them. I grabbed the brushed one, and it snapped a few of them off like nothing was there.Because it won't get worn out from brushes wearing out, I do suggest this impact. But I do use the brushed impact more, and I hate the anvil.I'm not really sure of my feelings towards it yet. Only time will tell.

As a woodworker, the only DIY automotive work I've done is to rotate tires, but now I might start.In order to build a "heavy" bench for a mortise press, hefty vice, and a few reloading presses, I purchased this. made from three "Full-dimension red oak lumber was cut by a nearby sawmill. 6x6 legs and a few more odd sizes are also present. using 5" and 6" by 5/8" "Galvanized lag screws were used to make disassembling it if moving was ever necessary possible. The 100-year-old wood laughed at my M12 impact driver (it really struggled), and after two attempts, my 20-volt Porter Cable driver gave up and let the smoke out. So I got myself an impact wrench.They were driven by this like it was a toy. Moreover, each and every mounting lag for the different tools Despite not really being intended for it, mower blades were simple to use and worked on my lugs. The correct accessories, such as a swivel adapter or a 3/8 to hex adapter, can enable it to perform tasks that I previously had to carry out by hand due to space constraints.one of my go-to tools at the moment. My 1997 Toyota's crankshaft bolt is difficult to remove. It has been torqued to 283 ft/lbs. 1/2 of My Craftsman "Impact guns were ineffective since they only produce 580 ft/lbs of losening torque. A 3/4 driver couldn't be used because there isn't enough room. Only a 1/2 driver will so fit in that location. No matter how hard I cushion the bar with foam and wrap blankets around the fender, I still ran the risk of denting my fender when the friction is released from the 6' cheater pipe. Because of the 1295 ft/lbs of loosening torque, I chose to purchase this gun.I started by connecting my ordinary 50-foot air hose to the aircat. Although I wasn't sure how much pressure would be lost, I decided to try it. It did not move when I had the pistol on it.Maltby penetrant was sprayed on the threads to help with lubrication and to help eliminate rust. 3 days later, I returned, and nothing had changed:As the rating for this cannon is 120 PSI for 1295 ft/lbs of torque at the gun rather than the regulator, I called customer assistance and they advised me to crank up my regulator to 150 PSI to account for the long hose. No luck.The following important instructions are mentioned in the written instructions.Use a hose no longer than 25 feet, and avoid using a quick connect at the gun.Both of these prevent the cannon from receiving enough air to operate at its best range.In order to be safe, I ordered a short 6' 1/2" diameter hose and installed adapters such that the gun end was 1/4" npt and the other end was 1/4" "Quick connection through npt to the compressor Adjust the regulator to 150 PSI.This bolt is extremely difficult to remove because, according to message boards, it requires roughly 1000 ft/lbs of torque.I can certainly hear and feel the additional power with the new arrangement.The bolt initially remained in place. I had to try approximately four times in the first minute before the bolt eventually came off!You'll enjoy this cannon if you make sure that your setup is on a very short hose, is what I would advise.

I'm quite happy to see that the impact was immediate. It was completely new, contained merely a tool, and performed exactly as I had imagined it would. When we had to use it on some of the more difficult bolts on the suspension of my 2008 F150, it was very helpful. Although I have a 1/2" high torque impact, there isn't enough room for it to fit in some of the smaller spaces, let alone allow for the installation of a breaker bar. Overall, if you're looking for some portable power, I'd strongly recommend this gadget.

As a product assembler, I primarily create electric bikes for big-box retailers. I bought my first cordless impact wrench driver, and on a single charge, I could make about 21 electric bikes.
