I routinely use Knipex cobra pliers, and while Knipex does produce larger (and smaller) cobras, this set contains the sizes that are most frequently required. It is also an excellent deal when compared to purchasing them separately. If I were only going to purchase one cobra set, this would be it. The only reason not to purchase this set is if you are certain you will require several of the larger sizes. Knipex also offers a seven-piece set (8701000-X) for roughly three times the price, but if you require the larger sizes, that is the better option because it is significantly less expensive than purchasing this set and adding on the additional sizes.The "Knipex Tools 00 20 72 V01 Tiny Pliers in Belt Bag" is one addition to this set that I have found to be quite useful. It includes the 5" mini cobra and the 6" pliers wrench, both of which come in a very beautiful belt pouch. I have this in the jeep and find myself using it constantly.In terms of quality, these pliers are likely the best ones being produced right now by any firm, as many others have noted. The blue-handle Channellocks are perfectly good, and I've used quite a few of them, but Knipex will definitely outlast them by a factor of at least 5, and work better throughout the course of that lifetime. I wouldn't think twice about buying these again.These pliers are arguably the greatest ones currently being produced.

My go-to pliers for adjusting tie rods. My shop performs a lot of alignments, thus I always grab these. I'll confess that I have a smaller hand, but these still fit perfectly. These are ideal since they are compact and fit in small areas. For the past three years, these have been used every day of every week without any issues. Even after all the abuse, they continued to function flawlessly; the only drawback was that the hand grips had worn out, which was logical given the oil saturation and general wear and tear. Actually, the teeth still had a terrific bite. I have a set of these three pliers, but I only really use the GV8s on a daily basis.Why do I caution buyers? Irwin offers two types of the GV8, one of which is, in my opinion, of poorer quality. Some come with two silver spots on either side of the locking mechanism, if you pay attention. Steer clear of those. I asked a customer in my business if he had seen my pair lying about, and he actually offered me his pair. I loathed the way they felt, and the locking mechanism was frequently broken. They are genuinely shaped differently. More distance separates the grips.

In September 2013, I recently purchased a property, and I quickly discovered that I needed a variety of items. I perused a number of articles about the tools a new homeowner ought to get, and I kept reading that, if you're going to purchase tools, pay a bit more since quality tools will last almost a lifetime. Although I can't guarantee they'll last forever, these pliers are a far better investment than the last set I got from Walmart. My last pair was bending and warping from very typical use, but these new ones are holding up fantastically and I put them through a lot.There are no signs of any cracks or breaks in the grips, which are continuing to hold strong. The handles in green and grey are cozy and perfectly sized for my hand. The 240v wiring was no problem for the wire cutters.Although you'll need to pay an additional $0 for the best, most durable pliers on the market, these will likely be more than sufficient for the average homeowner and/or DIYer. My purchase has made me very delighted.

I was first pleased with these tools because they are functional rather than exciting and come at a reasonable price. Then I discovered a product that you can dip these tools' handles in to give them both a non-slip coating that is also effective at stopping electrical current from going through them, and I have to say I'm beyond thrilled with these simple tools. They are currently among my greatest hand tools. Accidentally left several of them out in the rain while working; returned two weeks later to retrieve them; not a trace of rust anywhere! These appeared to be a fantastic replacement for my current pair of pliers, however the set I received appeared to be dirty or at least slightly used.When something is brand-new, one would assume it is clean and undisturbed, however these appeared slightly used when they were taken out of the sealed plastic bag. Even the sleeve case they come in had slide marks on it, giving the impression that it has been on at least one garage floor.If things become useless before long, I'll just retain them as is, but beware—you might not be getting a brand-new item as the item promises.

They're simply ok. If you thoroughly examine the cuts or even the tolerances in the ends of the pliers, they are clearly constructed on the cheap.Having said that, the pricing is unbeatable. They are quite inexpensive and barely somewhat feel that way.Any of the cutting pliers feel the cheapest, so if you buy these, I'd suggest keeping them as a backup set for emergencies at home or elsewhere. The side cutters don't cut very sharply and have inconsistent cuts. But they function. Additionally, the completely closed position of the needle nose cutting blades has a small gap in them, making cutting with them challenging.In conclusion, I would suggest it because the price just cannot be matched, but I would caution against doing so.fantastic second set

Stunningly poor Irwin produced quality tools. The tools were remained quite good even after they relocated to China. Irwin is now selling to those who may require them for light duty three times a year, which is evident in the price, or maybe Amazon sold me cheap copies. I needed new vise grips to replace my old, worn-out ones. I am unable to compare because these fell so far short. Even if they have been abused for years and are damaged and wrecked, my 25-year-old set will outshine them. If you and your wife require some simple home tools, buy them. If you want professional tools, don't get these. Irwin Tools, you should be ashamed for profiting off your name. On the tool, it even says "original."

Outstandingly well-made tools. Because of the pricing, I anticipated shoddy workmanship, therefore I was pleasantly delighted to learn otherwise. Even though we haven't had any of these for very long, they operate excellent, and we used them all so that we could write our review. very robust and substantial medal. They are all firmly fastened together with a bolt, unlike other low-quality tools, where a piece usually comes away or breaks the second or third time I use it. These tools work perfectly for me because I'm just a hobbyist who likes to experiment with his car on a tight budget.I've so far utilized them for small operations like replacing hose clamps, reaching/cutting wires, and releasing seized screw caps.Where the cheapness truly stands out are the joints (which are very easy to pivot, especially on the pliers), teeth (on both pliers, which are hollow and inconsistent), and handle grips (which are neither gripping or ergonomic). But they succeed in their task.However, if you often use your tools or use them for difficult tasks, they may shatter at the joints or lose their teeth due to the softer metal. Would advise investing more money in premium brands like Sonic.Minor difficulties for the price, aside from that. Just be sure to keep them dry and spotless.
