I made the decision to act alone! How much less does about $7 sound for a 5-pack of double-sided glue boards in place of almost $10? It's quite good, yes? Two cutouts can fit on each sheet, giving you a ton of value for your money. All you have to do is use your old glue boards as templates to cut them out. Good fortune! The horde of mice that travels under my house every fall has been caught in a variety of mouse traps that I have tested. The wooden traps usually frighten me since they are challenging to set, snap shut with the slightest movement, and are challenging to open and retrieve the dead mouse. I detest handling dead mice. The white and grey plastic ones don't appear to perform very well; I frequently discover them either still set with the bait missing or tripped without catching a mouse. However, these Authenz traps are simple to set, have no possibility for your finger to get caught, and have a great cup to place the bait in so the mice have to reach for it and actually get caught. They are simple to open and allow you to dispose of the deceased mouse without touching it. I'm using three traps at once, and mice are showing up in each one. I'd consider these ideal if there was a way to make the dead mouse fully vanish so I wouldn't have to see it's beady trusting eyes and feel bad for not sharing my precious house.

Because they blatantly work, professional exterminators employ them instead of "snap traps" for a reason. However, there are a few considerations to bear in mind to ensure optimal effectiveness:1. You need to be aware of the animals' route. Just take some time to understand how your vermin think; they have a nest somewhere and are always moving in search of food and water. They typically move along the tops of roof joists and up against walls. You will frequently notice a filthy smear where their filthy little tails drag after them if you discover holes in walls. Droppings will also be seen (they seem to poop constantly). Place these traps along their paths and in locations with significant activity, positioned such that they are butted up against walls (think of the way ants travel in a line - rats and mice kind of do the same thing).2. Avoid using bait because you won't need it if you follow the advice in step 1 above. I have caught a lot of rats, but I have never baited these things (my wife feeds birds in our yard and the seed attracts rats).3. Never use these outdoors or in areas where your children or pets could come into contact with them. If you leave them outside, a bird will invariably get hooked to them, and unless you are a heartless killer, you will feel terrible about it. When I use them outside (like along the paths the rats use to the bird feeders), I cover them with a long piece of plywood put up against the wall to create a "tunnel" and try to make it much harder for anything other than a rat or mouse to get stuck. Additionally, curious house cats frequently become trapped in these, especially if a mouse or rat is squeaking and flailing around on it. Let me tell you that trying to remove one of these when a live rat (or a toddler's shoe!) is clinging to it will not be enjoyable. If you don't cover them, they'll accumulate a lot of leaf litter, which reduces their efficiency.4. If you find it difficult to look at a dead (or dying) rat or mouse, avoid using these. Once the animal is trapped, be prepared to "dispatch" it in a compassionate manner. These traps don't instantly kill you (the way snap traps do). The animal will ultimately pass away (typically from asphyxia or shock), but killing it as soon as you hear it squeaking and flailing around is the most humane thing to do. In relation to that, it happens frequently (particularly to larger rats) for one of these traps to catch a rat partially. One night in my attic, a large wood rat got his back end hooked on one. He freaked out and started dragging it about until I could climb up there and "pull him out." When they get stuck outside, I usually use a shovel to rapidly decapitate them. I generally decapitate them in the attic with an extremely sharp hunting knife or a set of lopping shears. (Have I mentioned that this is not for the faint of heart?) A side note: Don't leave these in the attic unattended for too long. You will find yourself in a very bad situation if you wait till you smell something strange, I assure you.5. Once you have a dead mouse or rat, make sure to dispose of them while using rubber, latex, or nitrile gloves. First, they are filthy, disease-ridden animals that tend to crap and pee all over the place when they die, and you don't want to come into contact with that. Second, removing a glove is simple if you unintentionally get attached to the trap while recovering it. You will have a big mess to clean up if your exposed flesh gets caught (and these things are STICKY!).

Really sticky! We had two senior dogs, a toddler, and a newborn on the way, as well as a mouse in our home. My dogs were essentially useless (and never saw or heard the mouse). Thankfully, neither my husband nor I saw it when we were in the kitchen. We trimmed around the glue paper bits that weren't adhesive and stacked them one on top of the other after determining its location (by checking our Nest dropcams). (I wanted to put a lot down but wasn't sure whether the mouse was going to outsmart us again.) It returned at 1 am and became stuck. We searched online for a way to get a mouse off adhesive paper because neither my husband nor I wanted to harm it or watch it starve to death. Vegetable oil was suggested. My husband then put on leather gloves and carried the mouse outside, which was now totally adhered to the glue paper from head to tail. He then poured vegetable oil over the paper and allowed it to drip down to the mouse's body. IT OPERATED! In less than 10 seconds, the mouse was liberated and fled into the woods. We've finally figured out how to catch and release the mouse, and it actually works!! In order to prevent any additional animals from being injured or becoming stuck, we then took the empty paper and placed it in the trash can. I can finally fall asleep soundly knowing that 1) we caught the mouse and 2) we released it. We put some additional adhesive paper down near the hole just in case there is more than one.

Let me start by saying that I oppose the usage of glue traps, which are arguably the least humane method of killing mice. Much more humane is a baited, traditional, spring-loaded trap. Understand that unless a mouse suffers a heart attack, suffocates, starves, etc., a glue trap DOES NOT KILL the mouse. I've seen a number of reviews that show the buyers have no understanding what they're getting or how it works. A person who was bitten while attempting to "unstick" the mouse serves as an example. There isn't any poison present. If you decide to buy them, look up instructions online first. It's not everyone's cup of tea to stomp on them or throw the live mouse-trap into a pail of water.Why do I buy them, then? because I don't think I'll ever catch a mouse!This is a last-ditch effort to stop mouse damage IF one were to manage to get inside the building. I work so hard to keep them out. I have a summer cottage that is unusable during the winter because a baited trap needs to be rebaited. I pretty much completely seal the cottage. Even so, caulk all pipe entry sites after wrapping steel wool around them. When poison-type traps are used, mice are really ATTRACTED to the traps and end up eating the poison. Glue traps have no taste, no odor, and don't contain any poison. The mouse won't be attracted to them and is unaware that it is there. It must be put in a position where the mouse COULD move. It performs as promised, so hopefully I won't need to use it. I deducted 1 star since I don't like the idea, but for my needs, it gets 5 stars and is the only solution to my predicament. The most effective mouse trap available is this one. We believed that one or two mice were the cause of our issue. I got myself four traps. The first three were captured within the first hour, but I didn't want to release them outside just yet because they would freeze to death (why catch a mouse humanely if you're going to let it die a lingering, terrible death)? So I set the traps back up and released them into a fresh metal trash can that was already stocked with bedding, hamster food, and water. This was done over the course of a day until there were SEVEN mice in total. Since the seventh mouse was captured, the four traps have been put up again, but things have slowed down and we think we may have caught all the mice. When they're not consuming your food and leaving waste across your home, they may be rather adorable. But not for pets! just to watch for a moment. They need to remain wild because they are wild creatures, and they also have a musky fragrance.Like I said, it has been so cold lately that I was hesitant to let them go outside immediately in the really cold winter. I think it is abominably cruel to capture them in a compassionate manner just to freeze these MAMMAS to death! They are undoubtedly afraid as well as experiencing every last bit of that awful death! For reptiles who wouldn't notice it, use that solution! Never mice! Snap-trapping them would be a preferable option if you want to finish the situation swiftly! Seems to be a decent roach killer.Having been fortunate enough to grow up without roaches, I was unsure of what to do when I moved into a home with them. I chose these after doing some research, and I've largely been satisfied. The bait stations are discreet enough to be placed in most locations. If you have a pet, it might sniff them out, but other than that, our dog left them alone (though of course every pet is different). These traps don't smell at all, so your house won't be filled with unpleasant odors. The fact that these bait stations actually work is most essential. I started noticing roach bodies in corners after spreading them out throughout our house. We gradually ceased noticing any roaches. We noticed a lot of dead roaches and stopped seeing live ones, so there seems to be a pretty significant correlation between that and this product, even though I have no way of proving that it killed all of them.I have two warnings to make regarding this product. It is pricey, to start. One box won't cost much, nor will two, but the price might add up if you try to successfully cover your entire house in them. Although I believe it is worthwhile, it is expensive to purchase enough boxes to cover your entire home (especially if you place them only 1.5 feet apart as the company recommends). Second, using them requires patience. I didn't see results right away. Give it a few days, and even when you start to see results, keep the bait traps in place for at least a few weeks to be sure you've caught them all (I didn't leave mine in place for the entire year because I had them both visible and concealed).I was generally satisfied with this product and would purchase it again. Give this roach killer a chance nonetheless.

I like that the instructions were simple to understand and that the products were portable and easy to use. We used it when camping this past weekend, and it was really effective in reducing the number of flies and other insects that were flying around. They were also quite small, so their presence on the picnic table didn't seem unattractive.

I have tested numerous goods. both mouse and glue traps. Some people occasionally had jobs. However, I just had one mouse. Every evening, he would come out and stare at me. He stayed clear of the glue and mouse traps. The lethal bait was rejected by him. Every evening, he would simply emerge, scurry around, and turn to face me. I would then stand up and frighten him away. He would dash underneath a tiny cart and emerge again after a short while. This continued for weeks. He was getting closer and was responding more slowly with time, so I knew he was losing his fear of me. A pet mouse was not what I desired. I wished he had left.I therefore reasoned that I should search for glue traps that lay flat on the ground and lack a lip. I reasoned that if there wasn't a lip, he wouldn't need to enter the glue trap that I had been baiting, but would simply stumble into it and be captured. These appeared to be suitable. They came fast, and I immediately used two of them under the cart where the mouse darts were hidden. That first night was a success! He emerged as usual but was apprehended as he ducked beneath the wagon.After smashing the trap with a hammer and folding it in half over the captured mouse, I dumped the mouse and trap in the trash. Fantastic product!

Every year, we experience a vole problem in our yard. Voles are similar in size and appearance to field mice and run through the grass devouring the roots, producing brown lines in your yard.I've discovered that setting a mouse trap at the start of the runs is the most effective technique to get rid of voles. I just place them over the holes I notice in my mulched beds by placing them over the aperture. Other mouse traps I've tested have been useless. With these, I've successfully captured the tiny creatures in as little as a few minutes.Although the traps are a little gory, they promptly kill the voles, which I believe is much more merciful than a sticky trap. Because other animals may ingest the poison or consume the poisoned animals, it is also safer than employing poison.The traps function like standard mouse traps but are concealed. Pulling back and being secured in a notched area is a metal bar that is spring-loaded. The mouse or vole treads on a floating piece of plastic as it enters the trap. The mouse is quickly crushed by the power of the bar as a result of the animal's weight releasing the bar from the notch.These tiny covered traps often don't have a problem catching other unwelcome creatures, however once I did manage to capture a snake that was browsing around in search of rodents.Setting the traps is not too difficult, especially the first time. Although each trap is intended for one user only, I frequently use it five times or more. I use a mouse repellent gel, but other options include peanut butter, bird seeds, etc. When a mouse or vole is trapped, you can remove the trap from the animal without touching it and then press the lever in the back to let the dead animal out of the trap. We have a lot of hawks seeking for food, and they always leave after a few hours, so I normally go out back and drop them in the field.
