We made the decision to adequately secure our home and yard following our home invasion. Our backyard's grass was really dark. My sister recommended these lights. Although I've also bought other lights from Amazon, these will fit perfectly on the house's corner since the two spherical lights may be pointed in different directions while the main light is directed towards the front. June 24, 2019 Update/revision: The motion sensor does not activate it quickly enough FOR MY DRIVEWAY APPLICATION, so I'm deducting one star to make it a 4-star product. It turns on as I get closer to it on my long driveway, approximately 10 feet from the mount. It's okay when I'm walking down my driveway since I'm moving more slowly than when I'm in my car. Well, because walking is slower than driving, it illuminates my path.These will be moved to my house because it is a better place. Since the activation range is less and lighting a driveway as you approach the sensor is not as important, I assume a house application is better than a driveway application.In conclusion, it is a Very Bright Light, which is GREAT. This product is excellent. Let me get right to the point if you struggle with attention span issues. If you get it, you won't be dissatisfied because it is a great quality for the price. Read on if you have a long attention span or simply enjoy learning about amusing products.I got this so our dog can see the backyard at night when we take him out before bed. These lights are set to be dim (always on at night), but when motion is detected, they turn bright for about 15 seconds before turning dim again. Our prior solar motion lights did not have a dim setting, so you had to constantly move in front of them to keep them on, which was difficult while the dog was doing potty on a leash (we have to go with him). The lights are still on in the early mornings when we go outdoors while it's still dark since they currently have enough charge to endure the night. I still have the old LED lights outside in motion actuated mode just to be safe (in case they eventually can't last that long as the nights get "longer") (but normally off).Although I purchased these lights for safety, I was pleasantly surprised by the calming atmosphere they create. On the exquisitely planted ground, they created a very attractive down light display that was simply stunning. For the record, I hire a professional to take care of my landscaping, so I'm not bragging.Additionally, we have coyotes nearby, so I like the notion of lights that are always on but brighten when there is movement. Hopefully, this will dissuade coyotes. Additionally, there are many snakes in our area, including those that are venomous (Rattle snakes, copperheads and water moccasins). Some of my neighbors have been bitten at night, and a few pets have also been bitten; some of the dogs did not survive. Even while these lights might not be able to stop it, I feel better knowing that I can at least check in the direction my dog is going to make sure there aren't any obstacles in the way or if I notice any movement. It was very likely that you would tread on a snake before the other lights we had turned on because they didn't turn on until they sensed movement.Outside of our bedroom window are the lights. Our sleep is not at all impacted by the dim mode. Since we installed them, I have not observed the bright mode to turn on at an unexpected time. As a result, I am unsure if it will wake us or not, but I wager that the dog will be awakened, which will then wake us.What could be done better?A template for drilling the holes and mounting the light would be useful, for example. That is something I've experienced with other motion-activated LED lights, and I really value it. A piece of ordinary printer paper can be used to create one quite easily, although a quality cardboard stock template would be preferable. These don't have a mounting bracket, which is another option I've seen on LED lights and like because it seems more secure and would do away with the requirement for a drilling template. I've also seen locking mechanisms that need a key to be unlocked in order to remove the light; I wish these lights had a similar feature. Additionally, I have another brand that offers a USB charging port (with their proprietary cable), which may not be necessary the majority of the time (if you have enough light to charge using the solar panel), but I do like that option if you have a lot of cloudy days or the amount of daylight is insufficient (like in Alaska or farther north in the winter). Additionally, I've seen some LED outdoor lights that provide side angle illumination, which is not only attractive but also useful for illuminating certain regions. That would be a good choice to take into account. Additionally, I would prefer a replacement battery, which this does not appear to have. I assume not because it doesn't explicitly state either that it is or that it isn't. The batteries probably do not have a multiyear shelf life as the LED lights do. Last but not least, I've seen a rubberized seal over the mode switching switches that keeps the rain out and keeps the controls looking brand new, but it's not present on these lights.Oh my goodness, I had no idea I could write that much on LED motion lights. I feel obligated to state, Let me be clear that I think this is a really good product and for the cost, it is well worth it after mentioning the areas for development. You won't make a mistake if you purchase it; it functions flawlessly as-is. My ideas are the result of my experience using a variety of options, none of which, to my knowledge, have all the characteristics I listed here as improvements. Therefore, in my experience, you won't find everything I stated in a single product; rather, I'm just describing the qualities that I enjoyed and, if they were available in a single product, would probably immediately become a favorite of mine.

Remember that I only installed them yesterday, so I can't attest to their durability or performance over the long term. As my title suggests, they appear to be constructed of very high-quality plastic and to be well-built right out of the box.When I got these, I didn't really consider their size; instead, I was more concerned with the pricing for the 4 pack and the overall positive ratings. I must admit that I was quite astonished by how much smaller they actually were when they came. One is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The box is 5" x 5" x 4 1/4"h with all 4 securely packed within.Mounting screws and wall anchors are included in the box, making installation as simple as possible. I used tiny velcro pads to mount mine to my vinyl siding. They aren't heavy, so we'll see how long that lasts, but I'm hoping it will. Additionally, it gives me some flexibility to move without damaging my siding.I will say that the light is not spot light intensity after installing them yesterday. Since I was unfamiliar with the product's brand name before purchasing these, I'll admit that I was a little anxious. around 6-7 hours to charge. After placing them in the sun in the morning, I got them mounted and operational by dinnertime. The range is quite extensive. While strolling through the woods, I was able to set off the motion detector from a distance of perhaps 10 to 12 feet. Additionally, I saw that despite the sensor light's distance from the road, one of the motion triggers was able to detect cars traveling by. It must be the way I have it set up and how the cars are traveling down the slope or road because it is picking up vehicles from a distance of more than 20 feet. When activated, the lights remain on for approximately 15 seconds. I'll be getting a second set of four.At our primary residence, we have two of the sets we purchased.
