Definitely effective. My home is in an area of Austin, Texas that is relatively new. Just over a year since I moved in, but I've already started using this. Our two Chinese Pistaches, which our builder supplied in relatively terrible condition, suddenly soared up 6 feet, leaving our builder's warranty person speechless at a chance meeting. At the beginning of spring, my husband's father-in-law gave us some seedlings. When we moved the plants into our herb garden, we used Miracle-Gro. This was part of a package deal with three other types of fertilizer, and the pricing was fantastic. 4 different sorts to write down at various points during the year. The Scotts brand has always made me happy. Only time will tell if I get thicker, greener grass and fewer weeds because I just started fertilizing regularly. The fertilizer sometimes forms clumps, but my walk-behind spreader has little trouble breaking them up. The bags all arrived whole and without any holes (this was my first time ordering fertilizer from amazon so I was worried about the handling.)

When the weather warms up in Seattle, we typically notice those little, black ants a couple times a year. The temperatures have been RIDICULOUSLY high (56 degrees today, in the first week of February? It is VERY unusual here! ), so when I spotted some tiny ants scouting, my jaw dropped in shock because it's way too early for ants! For those bothersome house ants, this product works well! The ants kept returning despite my best efforts (vinegar, soapy water, garlic, peppermint leaves, lemon, ground cinnamon (this worked for a while), and other things). I simply sprinkle some of this DE food grade powder where I see them enter, and within a few minutes they are gone! It works beautifully and I use it inside the house and in our yard. And what's even great is that it's non-toxic to animals! She doesn't even mind that I've sprinkled some over my dog's bed and back. Wear a face mask, as others have suggested, especially if you have asthma because the loose powder gets everywhere and can cause you to start breathing it in, which is painful. I don't use the applicator either. As an alternative, I simply fill the container, place a piece of aluminum foil on top, secure it with a rubber band, and poke holes in the aluminum (it's much simpler to just sprinkle the powder like you would salt), after which I use a brush to spread the powder in any small crevices or to cover the entire surface. Simply vacuum or sweep the floor to make it clean. Although I am aware that this works wonders for other things, I have just used it to exterminate ants and the rare flea on my dog so far. I hope my analysis is useful.

For our indoor lemon tree, this product works like a charm. I recently found a lemon tree in a nursery and bought it as a surprise for my husband, who has long desired one. He was really happy about it, but as soon as the leaves started to seem a little strange (changing yellow and falling off like crazy), he started to worry. I got this equipment after doing some research, and now folks are like "This device is amazing! How could you maintain such joy?" We have maintained the tree for about a year, and we will soon be able to gather some lemons (these lemons have been growing for EIGHT MONTHS and my husband is insanely excited about this success).The drawback of this fertilizer is that dogs are completely enamored with it. Our dogs did once get the bag and get quite ill, so apparently it smells good to dogs. Vomiting frequently and having other unpleasant stomach issues for roughly 24 hours. When we realized they had gotten into it, we hurriedly searched online and learned that, because some of the chemicals are not processed, organic fertilizer is actually MORE harmful to pets.The moral of the story is to store this material high because it is beneficial to plants but harmful to animals.

Okay, everyoneI feel like I've read all the concerns about this rooting powder in this topic. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have no experience rooting plant cuttings, you will probably struggle with this product as well as any others that are available. There are so many variables to consider while rooting a cutting, regardless of the hormone you use, that you almost have to have them all working in your favor at the same time.I'm not being paid or asked to write this by the company; I'm simply weary of people giving a product a low rating when it actually works, but they don't know how to utilize it for what it was made for. Rooting Hormone is NOT, in a sense, a miracle cure. However, it DOES PROMOTE the development of roots and aids in preventing the cutting from decaying before it roots. You claim that you adhered to the instructions exactly. Good. That is definitely a start in the right way. There are a lot of variables to consider, including the type of plant, whether or not the cuttings will root or if it will take longer than typical for an ordinary plant to root, the rooting medium, any necessary misting, and/or the kind of lighting.I have been successfully reproducing plants for years, and depending on the plant, I may achieve a success rate of 100% or even as low as 10%. Once more, Rooting Hormone is NOT a magic pill, whether it is in the form of a powder, gel, or liquid. And yeah, whether you spend $1 or $300 for it, everything is essentially the same. Compared to other places, you may purchase the same thing here at a far lower cost.Take my recommendation and get this item because it's reasonably priced and, yes, IT DOES WORK! Your chances of having a successful rooted with your cuttings will almost be useless if the hormone is not the right strength for the right time of year or for the suitable kind of plant.
