They have stainless steel housings and a contemporary appearance, and installation is not too difficult. The relatively tiny phillips heads on screws require some care to install. They came with plastic inserts, however I predrilled 3/32" pilot holes and just used the screws instead of the inserts to prevent the big holes. placed on pressure-treated wood in my case. Knowing that they are marker lights and not intended to illuminate a walkway, they provide extremely enough illumination. Given that I know they work effectively, I bought a 6 pack and intend to buy numerous more. These solar lights are very effective and easy to install. My husband quickly screwed each one into place after we planted them on trees outside a rental house. I advise removing the film covering the solar component and exposing them to the light for a day before use. Then, to turn them on, you must insert the provided pin into the little hole. Before spending the effort to install them, I stepped into a dark closet with each one to make sure they each functioned. It is much simpler that way. After only a few hours of sunlight to charge, all four of them turned on. They emit a lot of light, and as a result, we can now see what is approaching up the long, dark driveway. These are sturdy and appear to be quite durable. I left them outside to charge up even though I haven't installed them outside my porch. Throughout the entire night, they are wonderfully bright. Since they were designed for outside use, it doesn't matter if I neglected to bring them inside when it rained. Anyone who owns a property with steps should consider getting it. Four of these solar lights were acquired by me to hang on the wall of my garden pathway. When I first got them, I installed them after turning on all the switches. For my dock, I was seeking for solar lighting. Most are painfully bright and blue-white. Found these when looking on Amazon. My neighbor loved my lights so much that he ordered 24 more and now his deck and sidewalk are totally lit. They are intended to provide a warm white gentle light without being overbearing or bothering the neighbors, therefore they won't illuminate a sizable area.
