Tangkula Outdoor Patio Retractable Folding Side Screen Awning Waterproof Sun Shade Wind Screen Privacy Divider (118.5" x 63", Grey) Review:

No installation guidelines exist! Since I had 4x4 poles that extend all the way up for a cage to brace shade sails, I didn't think I would need room for the handle. In order to make room for the handle, I'm going to add a spacer where I've circled it on the post. I'll also add a champ to attach the top of the post to the 4x4 and stop it from bowing inward under the weight of the expanded shade. When the shade is fully extended, the four bolts on the bottom of the post are not strong enough to support it. A strong breeze can cause issues. In order to store it indoors, I intend to always store it closed or remove the shade from the two brackets. The shade seems to have a thin quality. We'll see how it fares in the long run! Additionally, I advise you to be cautious while winding the shade back up because it has a lot of spring tension and might easily wind up uneven if you aren't!

Yescom 39x39" Outdoor Door Window Awning Canopy Patio Cover Rain Snow Protection One-Piece Polycarbonate Hollow Sheet Review:

The staff at Yescom was helpful and provided me a new part to replace the one that was harmed in the initial shipping. Due to its small weight, the awning was pretty simple for me to set up on my own (I'm a 71-year-old man). Fortunately, I was able to use my own three lag bolts into studs as the supplied molly bolts did not tighten up well, thus it turned out to be secure. As it doesn't seem to be able to withstand more than an inch or two of snow, I would not suggest this awning in regions that see severe snowfall. I'm going to take it down in the fall when we have storms of 10 to 20." The awning looks nice and deflects rain like I desired. It's a quality item for the price.

inadequate directions Since it is quite flimsy before you bolt it in, you should have two people help with the installation. The 80" didn't quite measure 80" and it lacked all the screws. Since the awning component is in two pieces with a plastic joiner in the middle and tends to move a little, I advise using packaging tape to keep it together. We've experienced some high gusts, and once up, they're really sturdy. They look beautiful and are performing exactly what was required to keep the rain out of the window and door wells. I advise creating a cardboard template to ensure the mounting holes are drilled levelly. Since the bolts are molly bolts that expand as you thread them into the sleeves, there are no instructions on what size holes to drill. It's not a conventional install, but I have a mansard roof that is on an angle, so I had to construct wedge-type brackets to keep them square. Overall, they are effective and look decent. I bought two 40" and two 80" tires.

Yescom 79x40" Door Window Outdoor Awning 2 Whole Hollow Polycarbonate Sheets Cover UV Rain Snow Protection Review:

This assessment just covers the new product and the installation; the materials' weather resistance will only become apparent with time. No pieces of the awning were damaged during packaging, and everything was present. The corners and protecting sheets on the polycarbonate sheets. Clearly marked was the top sun side. The support arms turned out to be more stronger after installation than I had anticipated. The panels were simple to install and the directions were clear. I am quite happy with it as a new installation. The longevity will be determined by time.

Mcombo 40" 80" Window Awning Outdoor Polycarbonate Front Door Patio Cover Garden Canopy 4080, Black Review:

I would have given this five stars, but the included anchors bothered me and the directions were facsimiles of old Chinese pictographs. The product currently has a beautiful appearance, but only time will tell how durable it is. To add a little more shade beneath my carport, I series 5 panels together. Given that the panels slot into one another, this product was perfect for my needs. My installation suggestion is as follows: If you can, hire a helper—I didn't. From a secure platform, work (I used the bed of my truck.) Completely assemble your first panel on a soft surface. Make sure everything is well fastened and precisely gauge the distance between the top holes of the brackets. your top mounting holes with a drill (Any obstructions above the bracket holes must be at least 3 inches away.) Install the second bracket after tightening the first bracket's bolt. Drill the bolt holes for the bottom bracket and fasten it. It will be difficult to install any extra panels because they must be added one section at a time. The back fixing bar should first be fixed into a new bracket. After that, insert the opposite end into the bracket of the finished portion. Install the top bracket bolt, but leave it a bit loose, after making sure the fixing bar is bottomed on both brackets. Next, mount one of the opaque panel boards using the transparent plastic connecting rod. (Some soapy water will help make this process simpler.) Insert the panel board into the slots after spreading the new bracket a little. The outer panel board should then be lubricated with soapy water before being placed atop the first one. The frontal fixing bar should then be attached, and both panels should be inserted into the fixed bracket first, and the new, loose bracket second. Incorporate the new bracket as far as it will go into the panel. I started to stray a little from the initial plan at this point. The frontal fixing bar's mounting screws are too short, and they frequently peel out the plastic. To make sure the screws would bite and hold, I purchased longer screws and bored holes in the mounting bar. Before you put the screws in, make sure the panels are firmly seated in their slots. Install the stainless steel screws (7) if this is an end panel to tighten it up. You are either finished or prepared to go on to the next panel after you drill and attach the bottom bracket bolt.

Yescom 39"x 39" Door Window Outdoor Awning Patio Cover UV Rain Snow Protection One-Piece Polycarbonate Hollow Sheet Review:

I enjoy the item. I'm hoping it will draw in prospective homeowners. My objective was to have an overhang over my front door so that I could access my house in the rain without having to spend a lot of money on a front porch roof. You have received that from me. Its narrowness is a negative because it could have been wider. I'm to blame for that. According to other reviews, the product was not intended to be fitted over vinyl siding because it is flexible. These large masonry bolts were sent with the item. LOL! Because the product is made of plastic, it would have broken long before the bolts could have been removed from a masonry building. My house has vinyl siding, so I had to work with it to construct wooden brackets to attach it to the house's wood frame. After that, I attached the awning's plastic arms to the brackets. Although the task took considerable time—roughly 4 hours—I was able to complete the installation since I had a woodworking shop. Since I don't have any trees to provide shade for my house, I'm thinking about purchasing more to match the ones I already have for the front windows. These would be relatively priced, attractive, and would provide some sun protection. So far, so good; when I get snow on it, I'll have to post a fresh evaluation. I suggest it.

MCombo 40in×120in Window Awning Outdoor Polycarbonate Front Door Patio Cover Garden Canopy 6055-4012 (Dark Brown) (Renewed) Review:

It was a little difficult to install, so I could have given it four stars, but for the price, I'd give it a five. Before we hung it up for anchoring, none of the components were sticking together as we assembled it. To keep it together, I had to drill a small hole and insert a small screw into the top back (see the pictures). For your information, the small screws that were included were meant to hold the item in place, however they weren't very effective. The large screws are used to anchor into concrete rather than wood. For the wood frame, you must get screws from Home Depot in the same size. It prevented rainwater from entering through our garden entrance (that was all I need). I'm not sure if it will survive the snow, though.

Every time we have a nighttime rainfall, I have to drag myself out of bed, pull out the window fan, and shut the window or everything inside gets wet because the windows on either end of the house have no eave protection. We find air conditioning to be uncomfortable on warm nights and prefer fresh air. It rained at 3AM on a rather mild October night when I was installing this awning yesterday. I stayed in bed and fell back asleep, and not a drop of water entered. Perfect. If it survives tonight's anticipated severe downpour and 50–60 mph gusts, I'll return to give it a five-star rating. Here are a few installation tips: It's a little difficult to put together by yourself, but WD-40 on the panel edges made it much easier for them to slide into the middle bracket. I am aware that putting on masonry is advised, however using 3" lag screws after strengthening the window frame trim seems to make it rather sturdy (you must use a socket wrench; do not use a screwdriver). Since I had to use a ladder, I initially screwed the awning into the upper left bracket and let it hang sideways. I was still able to grab the right bracket and attach it after moving the ladder to the other side. I then moved the ladder once more to complete the first side. Installation is pretty manageable for a single person, if a little awkward.Addendum: Although yesterday night's downpour wasn't as windy as anticipated, there was a lot of rain with some loud gusts, and the awning stayed fast. I came back to rate this 5 stars. Most of the windowsill stayed dry, with the exception of a little amount of wind-blown water on either side. Very pleased and have no reason to give a rating lower than 5.Addendum #2: Two nights ago, we experienced tropical storm-force winds, and one of the panels was blown out. It should come as no surprise that this product is not touted as being weather-resistant. I disassembled it, put it back together, and this time I should have had enough reinforcement because I ran a bead of silicone sealant along each side. I'll continue to give it five stars.
