I placed these underneath the legs of my upright 80 gallon air compressor. I now wonder why I didn't do this years ago because the noise and vibration reduction is definitely worth the cost. Although their longevity is still unknown, they seem to be well built and very robust. Finally, the smell. They do smell a lot. It actually doesn't concern me for my use in the garage. If used indoors, this might be a problem, therefore you might want to apply the suggestions from the other reviewers to lessen the fragrance. These receive a thumbs up from me. I think these are a fantastic addition to Gump's Garage and would suggest using them in my application.

These (4-packs) were purchased by me to cushion an outdoor 2500 pound generator and switchgear system. They are easy to place, silent, prevent vibration to the base and ground, do not slip, and after three months of usage, we have not noticed any wear. They also hold tightly, cushion well, enable drainage under the skid (unlike solid strip rubber pads), and are easy to mount. They exhibit no signs of UV fading or degradation, are firm rather than spongy, and barely distort when loaded. We have observed ZERO movement as a result of the groves on the top and bottom being 90 degrees apart, which helps prevent sliding from vibration. These were also ordered for use with other equipment, and they work flawlessly.
