These were purchased to replace a worn out set. We prefer acrylic, so we can use them on the concrete deck surrounding the pool. The previous ones were rather biassed and were never true. When we acquired these, we had no idea what to anticipate. We took a chance because the price was fair and they seemed good in the picture. We adore them, and they arrived. They are balanced and transparent. They can hold just enough to make the drink large , but not excessively so. We currently have 4, but we may eventually buy another 2 to 4 in the future. Very happy.

I made a martini on the rocks the following night since I was so eager to sample the glasses.The martini tastes better in these glasses than it does in the double old-fashioned glasses I was using earlier, even though I know that's absurd. (I don't like the stemmed ones I have and had damaged my previous set of four over the years; they were considerably more expensive.)It is quite simple to hold the glass.The glass may be a touch thicker than some people would want, but I didn't want any crystal. Although the majority of the weight is in the base, they feel well balanced in my hands, and none of our guests have had anything but great things to say about them.Although the fact that they may be machine washed is a benefit, these are such an excellent value that it hardly matters.For our cocktails, 8.25 ounces is more than enough, but I assume it will differ depending on the customer. It seems to be the same size as what I often receive at restaurants in our community. They keep their cool fairly well, but it would probably be best to take them out of the freezer right before serving.In our opinion, these are incredibly fashionable and don't seem or feel like they should be this expensive. Similar glasses, including some from the same firm, were available in the neighborhood box shop before I bought these from Amazon, but the pricing wasn't as nice and they didn't have any sets of 12 in stock at the time. This is the ideal glass if you prefer a true martini, which only contains a few ounces of liquor (as opposed to one of the many sweetened -tini variants sometimes seen on today's cocktail menus). The size of this glass is ideal for the 3–4 ounces of liquor and the 1.5–2 ounces of water that are left over after adding ice. Nowadays, the majority of glasses available are much too large for an authentic martini. I've also worn other glasses before, but they are very fragile and light and shatter very easily. I'll begin by stating that they are sizable wine glasses. Never before have I seen wine glasses this size. When I opened the box, I was shocked by the magnitude of these. They appear to be sturdy and quite attractive. I bought this set specifically to use for drinking at formal events, and they work well for that. I'll be drinking a lot of water and a little wine. Although judging by the glass, they appear to be able to accommodate about 8 ounces of beverage, this is only an approximation. With Lenox, I always know what to expect. I dislike drinking out of plastic glasses. But I was impressed when a buddy gave me a citrus martini in a host martini glass. Because of the thin drinking edge, it seems less like drinking out of a standard plastic glass and more like a regular glass. I also did not detect the "plastic stench" that I usually associate with plastic glassware.
