Edit: Although the funnels still don't meet my demands, the vendor tried their best to make it right, therefore I revised my evaluation.In my opinion, the design of these funnels was sound because they would take up less room when not in use and served their intended function. It's not a big concern that the silicone is a little weak because it's only a funnel and doesn't need to be tough.The silicone is so fragile and bendable that it forms an airtight seal between the bottle and the funnel when I tried to use it to fill a bottle, which is a HUGE fault that immediately became apparent. As a result, the liquid cannot flow inside the container without encountering bubbles that spray it back over you. Not only does it cause the funnel to move considerably more slowly than it ought to, but it also increases the likelihood that you will get burned if you handle anything hot.Now I see why people use hard side funnels; the small flaws make it more easier for air to enter through. I really wanted to like these funnels, but I simply can't utilize anything that will only partially fulfill its intended purpose.

Before I continue, let me clarify that I gave these funnels a five star rating because they are the best funnels I have ever owned, not because they are the best things in the world.Although they don't provide a LARGE amount of room between the funnel and the inside of what you are utilizing as a destination, the advertising for these funnels that mentions the ribs that enable air to vent from the destination container is correct. However, the room they offer IS more than sufficient for the intended use.They don't have a big handle on one side, which would tend to weigh one side down, thus they balance well on top of a destination container. The little thumb-hold and venting ribs are composed of a material that resembles rubber more than the funnels' plastic body. it makes handling them simpler. DO NOT muck around with THESE babies!The funnels have a textured plastic outside that provides only the TINIEST amount of added grip while handling them, but their interiors are VERY smooth and slippery, making cleaning them much simpler.The bigger of the two funnels has three small nubs that you may use to "snap" the strainer into place. At first, I was a tiny bit perplexed about where the strainer was intended to fit and how it was supposed to work. The smaller unit DOES NOT have these "nubs." Although the pores in the strainer are large enough to allow SMALL particles to get through, they are highly useful for filtering the debris from frying french fries from the oil they were fried in (or anything somewhat comparable that requires a straining action). For loose leaf tea, it wouldn't work well at all.The dimensions listed below were measured with an electronic caliper, and they are approximate values that have been rounded to one decimal place. This funnel is quite beneficial.When I transfer the still-hot fluids to a container, the stainless steel is wide and thick enough to manage them. I bought these funnels so I could use them to pour all of my spices into fresh jars. After reading reviews, I knew the funnels would be tiny and assumed the flow velocity would be sluggish, but I underestimated just how slowly. I had hoped that the "air release channel" in one of the funnels might hasten the process, but to no avail. Since it was so slow and arduous, and considering that cleaning the funnel afterward was required, it was really better for me to use one hand as a funnel over the spice jar instead of any of them.The funnels themselves are made well. Despite being constructed from two separate parts and crimped together, they appear and feel strong. The funnels don't have very broad lips that could retain debris, making cleanup relatively simple. They are joined by a ring and don't quite fit inside one another, but they do so well that they can fit in my drawer's slot.These might work wonderfully if I only needed to transfer little volumes of liquid, but as they are, my toddler has used them much more as a musical instrument than I have as a culinary tool.If you want to know if these will work for you, my advise is to focus on the size of the stems rather than the size of the top funnel apertures.

These were initially intended to be used as a funnel to transfer water from my refrigerator's water dispenser into my reusable water bottle; they are perfect for that! I can use these for so many things. Adding shampoo, detergent, soap, and other items. I haven't used them for any food goods and won't in the future.
