My kid laughed when I told him I wanted to buy him one, but after he saw Greg from ECD using one, he was convinced he needed one too! Every shot rolls back out of the goal thanks to this system, so you no longer need to bring extra balls or recover multiple balls from the goal. The added sense of safety appeals to me as well. I've been to a lot of practices when kids are trying to get the ball in the goal while still shooting at it. The balls won't remain in the goal while using the Laxdog. My son just started playing lacrosse, so he needed something to aim at in the backyard. We live on Long Island, the youth Mecca of LAX, therefore we needed something really good for him to better his game. I thus did some Amazon shopping and ordered a cane (along with the rebounder from the same firm). Wow, we sure found it!This net is of excellent quality. My youngster enjoys using it and has already demonstrated improvement. Even though this one was quite reasonably priced for what it delivers, many of the other nets simply felt insufficient and cheap.My kid and I put it together in about 20 to 30 minutes. Although it's not truly a two-person job, having an additional pair of hands to hold the poles in position does make it simpler. Predrilled holes with "nipples" that match the holes are present in each bar. The locations of the bars are quite obvious.Because it is so tall, it is simpler to finish the installation if you tip it downward, especially when attaching the net. Three lengthy pieces of string are used to thread the net, albeit they weren't as laborious as they may have been. As you round the frame, enter and exit the net every three to four net holes. We finished it off by tying a black zip tie around it.This will spend the winter at a location that I have designated in the garage. I wasn't expecting it to be so big, but after the cotter pins are taken out, it folds flat up against the wall.Overall, I really like this. Amazing value. simple to construct superior caliber. I'm very delighted I made this purchase.

My son is getting set to play lacrosse in his first year of high school. We were eager to try out this goal. About a dozen pieces make up the goal, but they are numbered and simple to snap together. The poles are simple to disassemble by snapping and unsnapping. Without using a tool, you may complete this by hand.When you attach the net into each clip, that's the only time a tool is required. To close the clip, you'll need a Phillips screwdriver. TIP: After putting the frame together, attach the net's back corner piece (which is actually a sizable vinyl pocket) to the frame. The additional pieces can then be screwed in after that.Although the net is not foldable, we were able to move it by unsnapping the frame three times. The deconstruction and reassembly process takes roughly 2-3 minutes.It has withstood our 100 or so shots, which included bashing the frame.Any backyard lacrosse field will benefit from having this.

This has been with us for approximately four months now. Tying the net to the frame was a real pain. In actuality, we supplemented the string wrapping with zip ties, and we wish we had done so because it would have been so much simpler. That said, this is a fantastic objective. Even my 6-year-old daughter can move it around by herself because it is so lightweight. It's quite durable. My 8- and 10-year-olds had no trouble hanging on it. Without a doubt, I'd buy it again.

I came to the conclusion that providing pitches for the son to practice off of is a poor strategy for improving his swing technique. Before moving him to actual pitches, you should hit off a tee. This unit has been really beneficial. Here is a simple pros/cons list.Benefits: - Height can be changed. The item arrived with a second collar in case the first one breaks (or gets lost?). The collars fit snugly. It is customizable for both children and adults, in my opinion.- Travel Bag: It would be nice to have a bag to transport the Tee in order to prevent your fingers from becoming trapped between two of the legs.Rubber tees are fairly durable. We've already hit well over 200 balls off of it, and it's still in excellent shape. If they had included an additional rubber tee, that would have been fantastic. Uncertain whether it will last past a dry winter (will update review in the Spring if it cracks).- Robust - The unit is fairly robust. It has only occasionally collapsed (they were really bad swings...haha). However, because of its small weight, children should have no trouble picking it up.Tee - It is difficult to remove! It will need A LOT of work to take it off once it is on. Every time we used it, we had to take the trouble of taking it out and putting it back in the bag. The rubber part now sticks out at the end of the bag since it is not long enough, but it is still secure because I kept it on and simply put it in there as is. Although it looks bad, it will function. It might be simpler to take off or put on if I first applied vaseline or another lubricant to it.- Legs - Handle the legs with care. It moves a little bit, but it doesn't affect the unit's efficacy, so I clamped my fingers on it once.In all other respects, this product works as promised, so I'm rating it 5 stars.

All by themselves, my sixth graders were able to put this goal together (correctly). Although it's not very challenging or complicated, assembly took some time the first time (40 minutes). Since they now know what to do, subsequent assembly attempts have taken about 10 minutes less.The goal folding process is subject to the same criticism. Again, it's not a difficult task, but my husband took about 15 minutes to assist them. The goal is higher quality and much more durable than some of the bendable metal frame styles that can be set up and taken down in less than a minute, so it takes longer to set up and tear down. This goal is easily hit by a lacrosse ball traveling at high speeds and can withstand the blows without the frame being dented.Despite the goal's huge size, it is not particularly heavy. This is a huge plus because it makes it unnecessary to take it down after each use because my elementary school-aged child and I can easily pick it up and move it around the yard, onto the patio when my husband mows the lawn, etc.The goal comes with a duffel bag which makes portability relatively easy.This is a fantastic objective all around. With its help, my kids' lacrosse shooting abilities have significantly increased. We are happy and would recommend this product.

I just got here today. Even though I didn't notice any for setup, there are offered "fold" up directions so that you can fit it into the bag. Easy to set up without instructions This will primarily be used on the beach with our family's favorite mini-stick lacrosse games. Instead of our pop-up "soccer nets," which we have been using, I wanted something a little bigger that resembled a lax net that was also portable. I found this, and it seems like it would work out well. Shots with a genuine lacrosse ball were fired, and so far so good. Since they have a genuine lacrosse net at home, I don't believe my high school students will use this for shooting. The only drawback is the bag. had a four-inch tear in the seam at the base of the triangle portion (bag is triangular). (I've included a photo.) Bag is thin, and seams do appear a touch flimsy. Duct tape will have to suffice for the time being because we're going to the beach tomorrow. After our beach excursion, I'll write a follow-up post. Will probably wind up purchasing another if it holds up.Updated on 8/9/15just returned from our trip. Utilized every day. The simplicity with which it folds into a triangle is its best feature. I have a 6x6 from another company, but it requires assembly. This appears instantly. It would slant to one side because the seashore was so windy. Sand was placed on the foundation so that it would not actually collapse over, merely occasionally slant. Regrettably, the base grommets have already begun to rust from the sea water.While playing a "half-court" game on the beach, we got some positive feedback regarding our mini-lax net.The main drawback is that the triangle-shaped portion is rather large. The sizable cargo carrier we have on top of our van won't hold it. With the base at the bottom and the triangle point moved to one side to avoid blocking the rearview mirror, it will fit upright in the van. Unsure of how this fits in the rear of the van if the 6x6 folds down in the same manner.
