These gold balls were put to a cluster of low-growing flowers that I have in an old birdbath. They are attractive and provide attention to a stunning location. Although it took a while for them to arrive and I prefer to use odd numbers of objects when decorating anything, I do love them. I do wish they had arrived in a pack of three instead.

I purchased this as a gift for someone who adores everything glass, and they were quite pleased with the quality of the item. The glow ball has really attractive hues, and when natural light shines on it, it appears much more stunning! Would very definitely suggest as a very attractive and distinctive present!

This 12" stainless steel gazing ball is BEAUTIFUL! Since I own several smaller stainless steel gazers, some of which are excellent and some of which have a clear seam at the equator, I wasn't sure what to anticipate. Each one was more expensive than this gorgeous object!According to comments from some other reviewers, my globe is smooth, without any obvious seams, it has a small hole (I'm following the advice of another reviewer on this site to fill as much of this ball with play sand as I can; the hole is small, and it will take some time, but with a small funnel, it should be doable...and then it will be finished off with a dab of glue), is of a nice weight, and is not too bad as a reflective surface [This is one of the things that makes me pleased to purchase from Amazon because I frequently receive advice from comments left by people who have purchased stuff I'm interested in!]Overall, I am THRILLED with this and already have plans to purchase a few more!

I emailed the seller with a specific query, but I never got a response; eventually, I found the answer on my own. I questioned whether or not this was breakable. Well, the wind pushed my patio umbrella up and into the gazing ball, and guess what... I discovered it to be in ONE CORRECT PIECE, slightly rolled down. I had TWO glasses, and BOTH of them broke in this manner, so I bought a steel one, but I wasn't sure if steel was truly impenetrable. As a result, the answer is YES! The camper is content.

This item is flawless. I've always wished for an indestructible gazing ball because so many have been blown off stands. Given that they often cost $50, this was pretty reasonable. The cost of a typical gazing ball was this. It appears lovely in my yard. The only issue is that I assumed it was simply coming from Amazon but, in fact, it was coming from a Chinese store. It took a while for it to show up. When it arrived, the packing was a little beat up, but there was no damage!

Depending on what you plan to use it for. I consider it acceptable as a shiny, reflected object in your landscape. I purchased the 4 inch shiny no-color model. It's not quite as round as they say. Where it was welded and ground down is visible. It has been polished to a mirror-like sheen. It arrives in a box, therefore I'm not sure why there is a sticker with a barcode on it. To remove it, have some Goo Gone on hand. Under the sticker, there is a tiny hole, but it serves my needs just well. For my purposes, it is advantageous that it is nonmagnetic stainless (some stainless is magnetic). The mirror-like smoothness is necessary since I want to use these for static electricity demonstrations, and the hole is fine because I need to hang them.Since they are not magnetic, I also want to test whether I can float them over an AC high-frequency high-current coil. The non-spherical shape of these means that they are NOT suitable for photography purposes.

6" stainless steel gazing globe

When I was a child, I was attracted by the silver gazing globe that belonged to my grandmother. I acquired one after I got older, built a house, and created a yard. It gleamed brightly as it sat atop its pedestal for 30 years. Then, one morning following a violent storm, I discovered it broken. I quickly bought another, but a few months later, when we had a string of storms with baseball-sized hail, tornadoes, and straight-line winds, it was destroyed along with the other glass globes I'd thoughtfully and artistically positioned throughout my Argosy Garden, a tranquil spot to sit and reflect, read, rest, and connect with nature. Therefore, I made the decision to start replacing the globes with stainless steel ones. Surely, they should tolerate some bouncing around unless they are blown from here to Timbucto. Since then, in May, we've experienced two severe storms, and these new globes have held up well. never even let their stands blow off. They currently shine like new. I concur.

Fits most standard globe stands, columns & pedestals (search "Echo Valley Globe Stand")
Luminescent crystals within globe absorb solar energy during the day and emit a soothing light green glow
Note: For best results place globe in a location where it will receive no competing light source at night. Glow will only occur within the green swirl portion of the globe and is comparable to the glow seen on a watch face piece. Glow will gradually fade over time.
Decorative gazing globe with earth swirl design; Produced from hand-blown glass
Measures 10-inch diameter

I decided to buy the Light Blue Swirl model of the Echo Valley 8140 10-Inch Glow-in-the-Dark Illuminarie Glass Gazing Globe after conducting extensive comparison shopping. Actually, both in terms of quality and aesthetics, it is far more stunning than I had anticipated. The glass is strong and the colors are vibrant, so I wouldn't be concerned about breakage from anything other than a severe hailstorm. The Achla Designs Gazing Globe Stand, 25-Inch H Spiked, which I also bought, turned out to be a rather robust item. The globe does not actually light up, but instead features luminous pebbles affixed to the interior along the green swirl that, when shielded from direct light, give off a mellow glow (see attached photo #1). This effect is roughly what I was hoping for, but I decided to step it up by adding a solar-powered LED light. I ripped off one of the additional pathway lights I had hanging around to get at the LED panel and wiring. The connection from the LED panel was passed through the little V-shaped slot I made in the bottom of the globe after removing the rubber sleeve. The panel fit snugly inside the globe's base. I covered the cable opening with some black duct tape after reattaching the sleeve. I placed the globe on the Achla Designs stand, attached the LED cable to the included photovoltaic panel for the pathway light set, and awaited dusk. The outcomes were astounding (see photographs #4-5 in the attachment) and clearly justified the added effort.I now possess a gazing globe that is stunning in the daytime and much more stunning at night!ADDED: In response to Purrdoc's request, I've added more images of both my Red Swirl Globe and the Blue Swirl Globe to show how I've outfitted both with photovoltaic (solar)-powered internal LED lighting.

To turn a bowling ball into a gazing ball, you will need to purchase a clear bowling ball and some clear epoxy. You will also need a drill with a ½†drill bit, and a small hand sander. Start by drilling a hole in the center of the bowling ball. Next, sand down the edges of the hole until it is smooth. Then, mix together the epoxy and pour it into the hole. Be sure to fill the hole completely. Finally, allow the epoxy to dry completely. Once it is dry, your bowling
