It's hard to believe that someone would be excited about a jar, but I recently started fermenting and got the fermenting bug quite bad. As a result, in a very short amount of time, I was able to amass a great glass jar and bottle collection. These gallon-sized containers with plastic screw caps are ideal. I have some broccoli in one and some cauliflower in the other. Both are doing well, and I check on them once a day to see how they're doing. Although the tops can be screwed on firmly if desired and are entirely leak-proof, I am currently simply snugging up the lids slightly to allow any trapped gasses to escape. Although I may ultimately purchase additional bubblers and place them on the lids, they now function quite well and are ideal for my purposes. I appreciate that they are sold in pairs so I can have one to prepare a fresh batch of whatever I'm doing while the other is already finished, being loved, and being eaten. I might pick up a couple more to use for making kimchi.It's also helpful to know that there is absolutely no risk of their splitting when you disinfect them with boiling water straight from the stove before using them again.A piece of muslin cloth and a rubber band to hold it in place were already inside each one when they were delivered. Truthfully, given what I've been up to, I didn't think I'd really need it. However, a day or so after they arrived, I found myself mixing up something very fine that needed to be strained. My finest mesh strainer still wasn't fine enough, so I thought of the muslin cloth, and it ended up working perfectly, trapping every particle while allowing all the liquid to pass through easily. Each piece of cloth is certainly big enough for that, and the provided rubber band is the ideal size for this particular use. Of course, the cloth is meant to cover the jar while whatever you're making (kefir, kombucha, etc.) is fermenting in order to keep any flies or other contaminants out.I couldn't be happier with these jars, and I anticipate ordering at least two more, if not four more as I use up all of the various sorts of ingredients and combinations I've created and am better able to predict my needs.These jars are fantastic, and I'd love to have some more of them...Very strongly advised... ;-)

I keep freshly roasted coffee in these. I make a lot of coffee to sip with my wife. I was utilizing a strange assortment of various containers. On the counter, they took up far too much room. We purchased the other containers from bargain retailers, so I was first a little wary of the price because I was purchasing five of these. But I'm so happy I chose these. They are elegant and lovely. The glass is of excellent clarity. The tops are made of lovely bamboo that is both strong and well-sealed. My counter has a ton more space now, and I can display my just-roasted coffee. Perhaps more crucially, I can monitor the bean levels so that the caffeine supply is not interrupted when I resume roasting. I heartily advise it.

Homemade yogurt can be made in these tiny jars. They are incredibly useful for anything. They require a little more effort to wipe down with a washcloth. I would suppose that it would be better if you could wash it with something smaller. The jars' mouths are smaller, so you can infer from the image that it might be a barrier.Though not as thick as some of the other evaluations I read before making the buy, the glass is a little thicker. I discovered from reading many reviews that the lids fit tightly and require some force to remove them. Nevertheless, I disagree. The lids do fit, but even with them on the jar, I can still turn them. If you aren't just putting them in the fridge, I would be hesitant to put any kind of liquid in these.Excellent value and ideal for my particular needs. =)

These containers appear exactly as they did in the image. These canisters' only drawback is that they are not particularly large. Despite seeing the sizes listed, I was unaware of how little they would truly be. None of the cannisters could hold a whole bag of flour or sugar. They don't take up a lot of countertop space because to their modest size and ability to stack. I just have the additional flour and sugar stored in my cupboard, but I can still easily get them.

We recently renovated our kitchen, and for the past three months I have been looking for a red canister set. Since I've been using a comparable hunter green set for the past 40 years, I eventually settled on this design. The wooden spoons that come with it also contributed to it losing a star because their finish was so rough that I had to use some fine-grit sandpaper to smooth it out. I've made the decision to keep it because, overall, it's a good set and the color is ideal.
