Candy melts are a type of chocolate that is designed to be used in a candy making process called candy making. They are made from a blend of cocoa butter and vegetable oil, and they have a lower melting point than regular chocolate. This makes them ideal for use in a chocolate fountain, as they will not melt as quickly as regular chocolate and will not clog the fountain.
Yes, you can use sunflower oil in your chocolate fountain. It is a good idea to use a high-quality oil that is specifically designed for use in chocolate fountains. Sunflower oil has a high smoke point and is a good choice for use in a chocolate fountain.
You can indeed use olive oil in a chocolate fountain. The oil helps keep the chocolate flowing smoothly and prevents it from clumping. It also gives the chocolate a richer flavor. Just be sure to use a light olive oil, as the heavier types can make the chocolate too greasy.

Update: Yesterday, I utilized the fountain for a second time for my daughter's birthday celebration, and it was a HUGE success! Multiple folks remarked on how delicious the Sephra real milk chocolate I used was. With roughly 20 kids and 15 adults, the fountain functioned just as well this year, and we consumed 4 pounds of chocolate once more. Every cent has been worthwhile! This chocolate fountain is something I purchased for my daughter's 8th birthday celebration (Lion King themed). It was a huge hit with both children and adults and functioned brilliantly! Because I didn't try it out beforehand because I didn't want to waste chocolate or deal with cleanup, I was anxious on the day of the party. Setting it up was fairly simple. I decided to use chocolate from the Sephra brand, which does not require the addition of oil. Additionally, it was really easy to use—just microwave the bag, massage the bag, and continue till the liquid is obtained. After about five minutes of preheating the chocolate fountain, it took me about ten minutes to melt and prepare four pounds of chocolate. I poured it inside and switched it on. I "burped" it in accordance with the instructions because it flowed but didn't cover well. It only requires an off/wait/on cycle of 20 seconds. Following this, it flowed smoothly (just like in the picture I posted). A minimum of 3 lbs and a maximum of 4 lbs of chocolate are needed for this fountain. I used the 4 pounds for 50 people, nearly half of them were children, and it was perfect. There was about half to three quarters of a pound remaining when I turned the fountain off and dumped it. I activated the fountain around 3:15 and turned it off around 7. Without any maintenance from me, it functioned well the entire time. Once part of the chocolate had been consumed, it didn't flow as smoothly, but that was to be expected and it still functioned just fine. When I spilled the melted chocolate, I did discover two dropped apple slices, but that didn't appear to disturb it either! Cleaning this up was something I was truly dreading, but it wasn't quite as horrible as I had anticipated. Since food (and perhaps children's hands) had been dipped in chocolate before, I decided against saving any of it. To avoid getting chocolate on your hands during cleanup, I would advise wearing a pair of gloves. I removed the tiers and the augur using the gloves. It was a little bit difficult because it was slick, so it was quite beneficial that I had someone hold onto the base as I pulled. I used a paper towel to remove as much chocolate as I could (I didn't want it in my pipes), and then I rinsed in hot water. This was pretty simple, and the components can go in the dishwasher. The plastic disposable tablecloth that the leftover chocolate was laying on got emptied out of the base onto it, and I folded it up and threw it away. I used a paper towel to wipe away the chocolate before cleaning with a damp cloth. I'd estimate that cleanup and disassembly took 20 minutes. For the happiness it brought the kids, it was worthwhile! I was worried that it would be hot around children, but that was also not a problem. The base of the fountain doesn't become too hot, and it keeps the chocolate warm but not hot. I'm eager to utilize it once more!

I placed the fountain on a level, sturdy surface and made sure the chocolate was melted to the proper temperature. I was so happy when the chocolate cascaded; my grandkids loved it, and I will be using this for many family gatherings. When I first turned it on to heat up, it had a light metal smell. I added Wilko melting chocolate wafers, and while they initially melted, they didn't cascade as I'd hoped. All that was required was a stable, level surface for the before and after photo that was placed online.

This worked perfectly for my July wedding, which I purchased it for. Since they don't require oil, we used Wilton 2-Pack Chocolate Fondue Melting Wafers, 4 lbs. There are only 3 settings, which makes operation rather simple: off, preheating, and on. So all you have to do is heat the melting bowl for 10 minutes before adding the chocolate, melt the chocolate wafers for a minute in the microwave, pour them in, heat for a few more minutes, and then switch on the top fountains. The guests at my wedding consumed so much chocolate that it stopped running after about three hours (the chocolate wouldn't go up to the upper fountains). The wedding planner or her assistants had no trouble setting up the fountain after I put the aforementioned instructions on a piece of paper and taped them to it. The strawberries were much more popular than the bananas and sliced melons, and there was a decent throng gathered around this item. The only drawback is that it will leave chocolate drippings on the tabletop and floor since melted chocolate drops off the fruit and onto these surfaces, especially because kids really enjoyed this item and seemed to spill as much chocolate as they consumed.

My weekend party was a big success thanks to this fountain. Make sure to melt all of the chocolate in the microwave slowly before pouring it into the reservoir. Use chocolate designed specifically for fountains or fondue. The chocolate will continue to flow from the fountain, and when it runs out, just proceed as before. There are countless topping options, but we topped ours with pretzel sticks, strawberries, banana slices, and marshmallows. Cleaning presents a minor obstacle, but is made simple by the use of a bottle brush and very warm, soapy water. Simply wipe the reservoir down with paper towels to clean it. Excellent product, and I'll be utilizing it at the following party.

I'm astonished to see 50 reviews with one star. This is the least expensive item I can find on the list, and I've used it for every Valentine's Day since 2011 as well as a few birthday parties, and it's still working just well! It is not high-end, and perfecting its use does need practice. Before you post a negative review on something that is actually a pretty good value for the money, try these things first:1. The bowl needs to have a little rubber disc in the center of it. A seal is made. Make sure it is firmly positioned. (And keep it together while cleaning up after!) In the absence of that, the equipment is inoperable.2. Before adding chocolate, preheat the appliance for about 10 minutes.3. Add oil as necessary to the chocolate to ensure that it is beautiful and thin and drippy.4. Two of the feet are movable if the rain is only coming from one side. Turn the adjustable feet continuously until the flow is even.5. Yes, it is LOUD. At the conclusion of the celebration, only switch it on!6. Although it is dirty, cleanup is not a big concern once you get the hang of it. I place a plastic tablecloth under the appliance. When we're done, I turn it off and unplug it, let it briefly cool (don't let the chocolate solidify! ), and then, while it's still put together, use wet paper towels to wipe the most of the chocolate off the components. It takes a lot of paper towels, so I just lay them all on top of the plastic table cover, which can be used as a self-contained trash bag by drawing the corners up. Pour the chocolate from the basin into a bag or other disposable container so you may save it or throw it out with the rest of the trash. Chocolate will become harder. After that, I immediately drop a paper towel into the sink and soak it in VERY HOT water for a minute before wiping that off as well. Don't forget to keep the tiny rubber disc in the center while cleaning!7. After cleaning the parts, dunk them in the hot, soapy water in the sink and let them sit there for a while. After a thorough rinse, pat them dry. This item is undoubtedly cheap and noisy; it works best during the last 15 to 20 minutes of a children's party. Although it is not a fine Viennese table item fit for a wedding or a formal event, it is unquestionably the hit of a preteen birthday!

Just this past weekend, I gave it a shot. When you switch on the fountain model, it makes a little noise. According to the instructions, you should first melt the chocolate before placing it in the machine. TIPS! USE CAUTION when attempting to microwave chocolate to melt it! It is easily ignited! If you attempt to melt it in the microwave, keep in mind to stir it every 30 seconds. Seriously, after your chocolate chips burn, the scent is awful! I finally get it to melt in the microwave on my second attempt. Unfortunately, I once again failed. The chocolate at the fountain was overly thick and did not flow. I eventually discovered a simple receipt on YouTube. a half-cup of oil and a pound of chocolate chips. To prevent burning, I advise melting the chocolate and oil simultaneously in a double boiler. If you receive the RIGHT RECEIPT, it was operating flawlessly. The dishwasher should not be placed near a fountain, according to the instructions. However, I suppose they don't want you to place the bottom portion there. I strongly advise you to put the removable pipe you use to transfer the melted chocolate in the dishwasher. It cannot be manually cleaned. Overall, having a chocolate fountain for only 28 dollars is rather amazing. The coming of summer. For our gatherings, let's employ the chocolate fountain!

The only thing I don't think I liked about it is that the chocolate on the tiers can get hard in the back of the tiny scoop things if the pieces are not lined up properly. They did not harden once I corrected the fountain, and all the chocolate was pouring flawlessly. Additionally, the tiny plastic ring at the base of the tier is easily misplaced. It was probably intended to serve as a washer, but I misplaced it after the second use, so the fountain is useless to me.

I went over every review of every fountain. It does create some noise, but it's not loud or overpowering. We could have a normal discussion while using it at a table with six people seated around it. I knew going in that the chocolate would not melt; therefore, I had to pre-melt it. It worked great with just a big bag of chocolate chips and some oil. In all honesty, the majority of poor ratings result from customers who failed to read the handbook. Make sure it rests level and warm it for the chocolate to flow evenly. It has levelers on the bottom. PERSONNEL, READ THE MANUAL! I encountered no issues, however I later read the handbook and conducted some research. Cleaning is good; I had anticipated a little more of a mess. I used a toothbrush to go around the bottom of the bowl's rubber seals. for the remainder, hot, soapy water. We all had a great time using it to ring in the new year because it is so much fun!

Perfect for the chocolate party my daughter is having. We have also loaned it to friends who have hosted special events. Make careful to stir as it melts and to completely melt. It was price it. Will make it a yearly event. The only drawback is that cleaning it after use requires extreme caution. Every time I wash a tiny appliance, I become anxious. The bottom bowl could have been removed without having to unscrew it; that would have been the only improvement.

(Thanks to all the candy/toy unwrapping videos kids love to watch online, my 6-year-old begged for this for Christmas.) Good results. We followed the instructions on a bag of chocolate we had purchased locally. Although the directions for the fountain include it, the chocolate bag doesn't, so I added a spoon. It performed admirably. Even though my kid and his cousins ate all of the chocolate, marshmallows, and strawberries that came with it in less than 10 minutes, the size is ideal. I have no issues.
Chocolate can be made shiny in a number of ways. One is to add a small amount of oil to the melted chocolate, which will give it a glossy sheen. Another is to temper the chocolate, which means heating and cooling it to specific temperatures to encourage the formation of certain types of crystals. This gives chocolate a smooth texture and a glossy appearance.
Chocolate for a fountain needs to be in a liquid form, but not too runny. To thin out chocolate, start by melting it in a double boiler or a microwave-safe bowl. Once it is melted, add in vegetable oil, a little bit at a time, until the chocolate reaches the desired consistency.
A chocolate fountain can be left running for a few hours as long as there is enough chocolate in the fountain. The chocolate will start to harden after a few hours, so it is important to keep an eye on the chocolate level. It is also important to keep the fountain clean, so that the chocolate does not start to clump.
If you're looking to make a chocolate fountain, you'll need about four chocolate bars for every person that you're expecting. This will ensure that everyone can have a few turns with the chocolate fountain and that there's enough to go around. If you're looking to save on costs, you can always use cheaper chocolate bars, but keep in mind that the quality of the chocolate will affect the taste of the fountain.
Adding oil to your dipping chocolate can help thin it out and make it easier to work with. It can also help to prevent the chocolate from seizing up or becoming too thick. However, you need to be careful not to add too much oil, as this can make the chocolate taste greasy.
