I was eager to update this review.I had to quickly buy and install a second window air conditioner due to health difficulties. I used to construct something attractive and secure for the unit before being ill. My kid remarked, "Simply use duct tape to close it shut, mom. Simply get it finished." Therefore, I duct taped the fragile accessories that came with the air conditioner into place.Wow. This window unit is firmly fixed in place! It doesn't even appear that horrible. It is safe. There are no air leaks near the appliance. The air conditioner will remain in situ even if the home collapses at some point!The tape won't curl if you place the end of the roll on a countertop and peel off what you need while maintaining some tension on the roll. With a box knife, slice it. Scissors are useless.My roof is leaking. I might give this tape a try!My initial assessmentThis is some tape that sticks! It's nearly too sticky, in fact. It is sturdy. It's water-resistant. It is not readily torn. To distribute is very difficult.I've discovered that someone else may require exactly what one individual discards. Why only four? For "CLOSING boxes, supporting pallets, bundling and strengthening, and securing appliance components during shipment," according to Scotch. Please excuse the packaging from Scotch Moving and Storage. Boxes should be sealed with tape since the adhesive holds up better to long-term storage in a range of temperatures. For strapping, filament tape must wrap completely around the box and stick to itself. See the image I've included of two boxes that are in long-term storage. The tape always comes off when it's being used to close something.However, this strong, abrasion-resistant strapping tape is a great choice. Only short rolls of expensive per foot thinner filament tape are currently available in big-box shops. For the intended use, highly recommended.

Over the years, I've used fiberglass tape in a variety of sizes. It seems that it is more difficult to find in my location, so when I was browsing other products, I came across this one and bought a roll to try out. I've been clearing out some old objects from the basement, and the tape is holding up much better than I had anticipated. Good value and quality. As needed, I would purchase more.
