WOW! Amazing quality and durability! This was not going to be as inexpensive as I had anticipated (AE you get what you pay for).Buy it ! NOW! You will adore it. Note that the paddle is 60" long, making it longer than other brew paddles available. I use 15 gal kettles up on a Brutus stand, so the height of the paddle works perfect for me. It can be trimmed if necessary, or you can keep it around in case you need a canoe paddle replacement.

The caliber is excellent! When I create a tray of paella on my grill, the three foot length is probably more than I need, but this stick will assist me prevent rice from sticking. The fact that manufacturers frequently use the incorrect adhesive for a product ID label is the only thing that prevented me from rating this product 5 stars. I spent at least 20 minutes removing the tape from the paddle's end! In order to completely remove the tape from the paddle's end, I had to resort to acetone. Other than that, seller was on time and shipping with Prime was good! Dave Allen

It's larger than I anticipated, but that's good because it's ideal for when I need to stir extremely large pots of anything (I can do a lot, I can make gallons of tomato sauce in one session) so I can stir all the way to the bottom, scraping the bottom to keep sauce from sticking, burning, etc., and my arms/hands don't get splattered by hot stuff. Since it's made of wood, the handle also doesn't transfer heat well.

Although I didn't use it for what it was designed for, the quality seemed to be acceptable. It had a nice smooth finish, and I think it would work well as a stirring paddle. Others claim it falls apart, which I could see occurring given that it's made of several smaller pieces of wood that were glued together rather than one solid piece. It would probably break easily if there was enough pressure applied in the incorrect way.
