Can I use Vaseline as eyeshadow primer?

If you have oily eyelids, you may have found that your eyeshadow doesn't stay in place as well as you'd like. You can use a number of different products to prime your eyelids, including eyeshadow primer, Concealer, foundation, or even Vaseline. Vaseline creates a barrier between your skin and makeup, helping to keep your eyeshadow in place. It can also help to intensify the color of your eyeshadow. If you have dry skin, you may find that Vaseline helps to keep your eyelids from looking too dry

bareMinerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener, Luminous 2, 0.18 Ounce Review:

I'm one of the fortunate females whose genes gave me beautiful dark circles that make others comment "you look tired" even after a solid week of getting enough sleep, being hydrated, and eating a nutritious diet. I've tried a ton of different things to cover up my dark circles as a result. I've experimented with primers, thick creamy concealers, thin concealers with layers, thin liquid concealers with powder, and every application method I could find. I was pleasantly delighted by the performance after ordering this concealer in anticipation of yet another letdown. It is a concealer with medium coverage. I apply this concealer after using Bare Escentuals Prime Time primer, blending it inward from the outside in. Just enough is applied, not a heavy coating, to cover the purple in my skin. Then I lightly cover my entire face with Bare Escentuals foundation powder. The combination is very effective. The makeup hardly shows where my 36-year-old fine wrinkles are beginning, and the coverage keeps the "you look tired" and "are you feeling ok?" comments at bay. Job well done, Bare Escentuals! The hunt is over:)

SUNSENT Eyeshadow Base Primer,Professional Long Lasting and Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer for All Shadows Review:

Primer is effective! I'm overjoyed. On my light skin, where it becomes translucent and non-sticky, it is well-shaded and invisible. It will last all day if you dab some on your eyelid, smooth it with your finger, and then use eyeshadow. It's really remarkable how long-lasting and vibrant the shadows are when using this primer.

Clinique Touch Base Eyes #10 Canvas Review:

Amazing thing, this! Everything advises put as a good base under your eye makeup. Keep the foil seal that is on the makeup when you first buy it, that is a crucial piece of advice. I re-cover it after each usage because, even with the case closed properly, it will dry up rather soon otherwise. It keeps going for a very long period with the seal.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer | Primer Face Makeup Eye Shadow Primer Base | Makeup Primer for Face | Vegan, Cruelty-Free, Made for Long-Lasting Wear | Use with Eye Shadow Palettes (0.3 Fl. Oz.) Review:

This primer keeps liner and shadow on all day even on the eye of mine that produces more oil than the other. I do apply Mary Kay Translucent Setting Powder or E.L.F. High Definition Undereye Setting Powder all over, paying particular attention to the bottom and upper lash lines. I love how the shadow applies and retains the color. Even recently when I had to visit the ER, I didn't wipe my makeup off till the following day. My eyeliner, eye shadow, and brow powder were all still in place. Additionally, my brow powder adheres well. I'll buy this primer again. For elderly eyes, it's amazing. I needed something that wouldn't wrinkle because I'm 61. Additionally, I didn't want the bottom eyeliner to smear and migrate. This is appropriate. I viewed "Hot and Flashy's" review of it on YouTube. She was correct, and the cost is far lower than for other primers.

Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer, Light, 0.08 Fluid Ounce Review:

Thank God this item contained a product. I suppose I might return the empty E.l.f primer that was recently supplied to me.The smoothness of this food appeals to me. It appeared to function properly when I tried it on my arm. I am anxious to use it on my eyelids. to see whether my shadow truly does pop because of it!

NYX Professional Makeup Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer Face Makeup Review:

Imagine it.Perfectly styled blue hair that has been slightly twisted to make it appear as though my waves are natural. a lip that is dark, perhaps deep brown or slate. I can hardly see through the eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow that are so intensely dark. My cheekbones and nose were lightly dusted with glitter, creating the appearance that I had just left a Sarah J. Maas book.My brows are all black. Eyeshadow was expertly sculpted (I said it; don't you dare judge me) to create the ideal arch and look of both boredom and rage.Until the rain starts to fall, my eyebrows start to fall out, and I start scaring everyone within a five-mile radius to death. The ghostly nighttime creature that is way too similar to Gollum has replaced the gothic fairy.Thank goodness. I purchased this enormous GEM of a primer. Before foundation, I simply dab a small bit of each brown, and presto! My face has to be scrubbed clean of my brows, and it has never felt better!

bareMinerals Prime Time Eye Primer, Original, 0.1 Ounce Review:

To begin with, I didn't initially purchase this item from Amazon... Usually, I purchase it from Ulta. Nevertheless, I've probably been using this for six years. Many of the girls I know who claim to have oily eyelids actually mean that "it's kinda-sorta sticky, yuck." I don't belong with those girls. When I say that my eyelids get oily, I really mean that they get dreadfully awful, greasy, and oozingly oily. The ONLY primer that actually works for me is this one. And trust me, I've tried them all because I use it on both my eyelids and my brows when I need to fill them in, in addition to the eyelids. I wish I could find something cheaper that still works just as well, but I can't. Even the primer from Urban Decay, which everyone seems to like, does nothing for me. I wish I knew WHY this primer works best for me, but I don't. I'm just happy that it does, and I'll probably cry if they ever stop producing it. I don't really use anything else from BareMinerals because it's extremely pricey, but I am compelled to because I cannot function without my eye primer. Although it works SO FREAKING WELL on its own, I'm always extra paranoid, so I typically swipe my finger in Anti-Lady Monkey Butt powder (it's a chaffing powder, shut up lol) and swipe it on top of the primer. Thanks to the primer and the powder, my eye makeup LITERALLY stays on all day and night, and sometimes—-on the RARE occasions—-it lasts until the next morning. I'm therefore dependent on this material. Definitely advised. This stuff ought to work miracles unless your eyelids are worse than mine (and trust me, they probably aren't, lol). Best of luck!

NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Eyeshadow Base, Black, 0.25 Ounce Review:

Before I noticed that Amazon's review system (at least for smaller items) had changed and doesn't seem to allow attaching a video, I took the time to make and edit a video review. What a letdown.Anyhow, I used one of each product on each eye to compare Nyx's Eye Shadow Base and Too Faced Shadow Insurance in the video. Compared to the thin, liquid texture of the Shadow Insurance, I much enjoyed the creamy feel of the Nyx product. The Nyx pot was considerably better than the Shadow Insurance tube, in my opinion. The Nyx cream in the pot, in my opinion, gave me better control over where and how much product I applied.Although Shadow Insurance seemed to give the shadow a more vivid, pigmented effect when applied over each foundation, it didn't completely defeat Nyx.Because of how sensitive my eyelids are to many cosmetics, neither product affected me all that much. Additionally, I have an extremely sensitive nose, and neither product's aroma troubled me.I found it to be much harder to use Shadow Insurance and a little bit easier to use Nyx Shadow Base to make changes to my makeup during or after application (if I messed up or wanted to change something). I'm aware that many people adore Shadow Insurance for its durability, but I want to be able to change my appearance occasionally rather than have it last for a very long time.Although I didn't notice a significant difference in these goods' longevity, I believed the Shadow Insurance had the upper hand. When comparing prices, the Nyx Eye Shadow Base is about half as expensive as Too Faced's Shadow Insurance, but in my perspective, the amount of product you receive is not different enough to justify the price (the Nyx product is .21 ounces and the Too Faced product is .35 ounces). In conclusion, the Too Faced Shadow Insurance is definitely your best option if you value having your makeup stay in place for several hours after applying it and are skilled enough to avoid needing to make many changes to your appearance. I'd suggest the Nyx Eye Shadow Base if, like me, you like a creamier, simpler-to-apply product that is more accommodating to modifications. The Nyx Eye Shadow Base is the item I would repurchase if I had to choose.

Beauty Glazed 15 Colors Glitter Eyeshadow Palette Shimmer Ultra Pigmented Makeup Eye Shadow Powder Long Lasting Waterproof Review:

Despite the fact that I'm just ten, I already adore this palette! It may produce an excellent gradient eyelid and has many lovely colors. Without a doubt, I'd suggest this eyeshadow. Personally, I believed that it was all in good humor. Never wear it in public as it will look strange and funny. I contradicted myself. When I noticed it on my eyelids, I thought it would look fantastic even in public. It works well for a variety of events and looks good when worn in the appropriate ways.On the other hand, applying it with your finger will make the process go more smoothly despite the lack of explicit directions. It is really light, but it takes quite a few layers to look solid. Really, after the application, I didn't even notice it. Even though I felt it was OK without a primer, it would be helpful.

SENSITIVE Eyelash Extension Glue Stacy Lash 5 ml/LOW Fume / 5 Sec Drying time/Retention - 5 weeks/Professional Use Only Black Adhesive for Individual Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions Supplies Review:

It's taken me a while to get around to writing and updating my review, but I must say that the glue is good (just really need to figure out timing). Individual lashes have a learning curve, and applying them to oneself is very different than applying them to a client or friend. The seller was courteous and provided a refund for the remover I had also purchased at the same time but did not care for. I chose not to return the item because I had given it away. The key is good adhesive.
