To prevent sliding on countertops, there is a rubber ring around the bottom. with hot water and dish soap, cleaned like new. I originally got this to mix hair colour, but I've now discovered additional applications for it.The 3-piece set was packaged in plastic for delivery. The parts themselves are constructed of a strong plastic that appears to be long-lasting. The brushes' bristles are hard enough to apply product but soft enough to feel pleasant. I've discovered that I can apply face masks using the bowl and brush as well. For the price, this is a fantastic product. I gave this product a four-star rating because the bowl should have had a handle. It occasionally gets slick when you have gloves on and a mix in the bowl. Other than that, this is a great product.

Despite using a very dark purple dye, I had no trouble cleaning the brushes and bowl so I could use them again.
