For the municipal band I lead, I needed a set of wind chimes, but I didn't have much money to spend on them. After seeing the movie and discovering them, I decided they sounded tasty and placed my purchase. They arrived very promptly, and the chimes had excellent sound quality! I appreciate that they brought their own stand along with them. Any band in need of wind chimes but on a tight budget should check out this product, in my opinion.

Since I enjoy using small percussion instruments, I was looking to add something special to my drum set. WOW! simply WOW! I installed the chimes in a cymbal stand and placed it close to my hi hat and I was blown away by the sound. The sound is sustained so perfectly, the way it has an instant impact when stoked but gradually dissipates while I continue playing my drums is unreal. The quality of the wood used is also beautiful, the different patterns of color in the wood make it so unique (not machine made). is essential for any percussionist, and I should add point out that it comes in a tube, making it ideal for travel. Not only is this Mark Tree (or wind chime) lovely to hear, but it was also expertly constructed in the USA. It is presented tastefully in a study cardboard tube and comes with a great mounting bracket and a very lovely storage/travel bag. Manufacturers of chimes are scarce. Treeworks offers a wide range of products at competitive prices. The fact that Treeworks enables selection and payment via Amazon is really fantastic. The shipping tube and cover allow for excellent storage while not in use, even though I'm likely to keep the chimes hanging. None of them have the one additional function I'd like to see in chimes, which is a damper that could hang down, touch the chimes, and lessen handling sounds while they are being played.

In addition to the triangle and finger cymbal, this windchime set-up is fantastic.All three instruments have a magnificent tone. Depending on where you strike the triangle, its harmonic series can produce a variety of tones, from light and clear to heavy and gloomy. When struck, the finger cymbal always makes a brilliant sound from piano to fortissimo. The wind chimes, with their 31 well crafted bars that are even perfectly placed (chromatically and microtonally), are the highlight of this set, as they produce the fantastic and anticipated shimmer when played both softly and with some energy.One of my all-time favorite percussion instruments that I've ever purchased for my own personal percussion collection and the elementary level orchestra program I teach.

It is appropriate to treat the Koshi chimes like great musical instruments. That are too pricey to use outside, and I don't believe they were designed for outdoor use.
